1:30 a.m.: I wake up to go pee and can't get back to sleep. Toss and turn, look at my phone, pee several more times 3:30 a.m.: Baby monitor goes off. DS is crying and tossing around in his crib. I go in. His diaper leaked. Change his diaper and sit with him in the rocker for a while to get him to go back to sleep. At this point, starting to feel really tired and sleepy. 4 a.m.: Put DS back in his crib and head to bed. He is still awake, tossing a bit, but trying to sleep. I watch him on the monitor a while, then can barely keep my eyes open, so I start to drift off. 4:45 a.m.: Monitor goes off. DS is screaming bloody murder. Hand monitor to DH and say, "Can you please go resettle him? He's been up since 3:30; he needs to go back to sleep." *DH takes 10+ minutes to crawl out of bed, find a shirt, use the bathroom, go downstairs and start the coffee, THEN goes into DS's room, at which point DS has already stopped crying* 5:10 a.m.: I hear lots of commotion from DS's room and his entire box of Legos being dumped out. I get up and go look only to find DS out of his crib, all the lights on, literally every toy he owns out and on the floor, and DH sitting in the rocker sipping his coffee.
How did "resettle him; he's been up since 3:30; he needs to go back to sleep" translate into "get him up for the day and play with him"?!?!
Now I'm stuck at home with the crankiest toddler ever while DH is at work. WTF?! DH is literally driving me INSANE these past few weeks!!!
that picture on the OP cracks me up. H has had a sore neck for about a week and he would complain constantly, have to lay around all day etc like he was dying. I get that you are hurting but dude I'm due to have a baby in barely over a month and you complain way more than I do.
Exactly. My husband had the sniffles for "3 weeks" And was sure he had waking pneumonia. All he ever talked about to anyone was how awful it's been being so sick and I'm over here like "funny you weren't too sick to eat an entire pizza last night." As I eat plain chicken and salad with my gestational diabetes.
Wtf contractions I have had contractions on and off since last Wednesday and in and out L&D thanks to blood pressure and DS heart rate dropping!!! But yesterday I started having timable contractions (uncomfortable but not painful) for a little over an hr and as soon as I think maybe it would turn into labor they start to get further apart but don't go away and thanks to them I've been up since 3am mind you I haven't really slept at all since I was having contractions all night and having to pee as well!!!! And of course they went away now (get one here and there) can't wait till my appt tomorrow to see if they are actually making progress...
Not recently but DH asked during the middle of the night if I could have baby tone down the kicking because HE couldn't sleep from feeling the vibrations
