DS and I are at my ILs waiting on a funeral to end. He's almost 3 and I didn't feel it's a good time to bring him a funeral so we're here waiting for it to end. Hubby was a pallbearer. Most everyone that will be here knows I'm expecting but I'm sure by the end of day, everyone will know. Thanks to DH and MIL.
I was doing a good job at acting the part last night at my bff's bday. I asked for gluten-free beer, and they didn't have any. Oh darn! I can't drink! Then I started sobbing like a child when the Cubs won. Hopefully they just saw pain of 70 something years and not preggo hormones.
I was just at a brunch in the city and had to pretend to be drunk cause none of my friends besides one knows I'm pregnant . Interesting being the sober one and be able to just people watch for once. lol
@Knottie42089123 I cried after the Cubs won too but I'm not even a fan! Dh is and he was so excited and I was just so happy watching everyone on TV be so happy that I lost it. I actually told DH that this is perfect for the "why my pregnant self is crying" thread
Yesterday my mom and I took the kids to the mall since my dad and dh were both working. Then I have been laying around doing nothing ever since because nausea has been kicking my butt. catching up on recorded shows since this is one of the few nights in a while where there hasn't been a football or cubs game on
I am excited for my first MW appt tomorrow. As a PGAL mom, I am going to push hard for an US. Today, I've felt so sick all day, but I know it's just MS and pregnancy exhaustion.
As a diehard Cardinals fan, I gotta root for the Indians. Sorry, Chitown. Just can't do it!
Thanks for the well wishes! Rocked the half marathon - not a PR but second in 3 weeks and first time pregnant! Not having symptoms that are slowing me down yet, but it was definitely a mental challenge to not use it as an excuse! And brunch was amazeballs! How did yours go, @flyingncmama ?
@mezalune, glad yours went well too! My morning sickness kicked in around mile 5 but didn't last too long. No PR for me either but it was still a great run. And the chocolate milk at the end made it all worth it.
I'm impressed with all of the ladies who still have motivation to run/exercise. Way to go! I could rarely be motivated to exercise when I wasn't pregnant.
