Appointments this week? Had one today to do the 1 hr glucose and hear the heartbeat. We shall see if I pass it although my best guess is a no.
Symptoms? Just the same old same old food aversion
Rant/Rave/Questions? We bought the first nursery item - a giant giraffe from Pottery Barn Kids. I'm in love with this ridiculous item.
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? Sweets right before bed - I've been pretty good this pregnancy and avoided most sweets. I know that if they diagnose me with GD then I will ridiculously crave them even though for 14 weeks I've been ok without them.
How big is baby? A peach (or a lemon. Every app says something different!)
Appointments this week? Nope! Just a massage, which I am very excited about
Symptoms? Not much, besides the headaches, I thought I was getting some heartburn early, but nope. I kind of hate this. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant, but I suppose its better than being sick
Rant/Rave/Questions? I get to schedule my anatomy scan!! so exciting, I am going to try to get in the week before thanksgiving. My MIL bought us this super cute mobile with birds on it! Its our first buy
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? Probably coffee. I am doing less of it, which has been OK. If I feel a headache coming on, i do have a small cup in the PM or a soda... Which is probably worse...
Symptoms? Nausea is coming and going depending on the day. But it's not daily anymore which is awesome. I'm still as tired as I was so getting some energy back would be nice. Feeling pangs and twinges and bloat. I can feel the top of my uterus below my belly button so I'm excited to pop soon. I hope! I switched to new prenatals with iron and I get a metallic taste in my mouth a couple hours later which is nasty. Also, insomnia is bad. Not sleeping much. Oh yes, and since I've lifted the sex ban with DH I've had some spotting after sex which freaks me the heck out because I'm PGAL. But it's gone in a few hours which is a relief.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Just a rant--I picked up poison ivy I guess from my dog. Gah! It's not anywhere I'm worried about but it's on my neck so I can't wear my necklace I've worn every day in honor of my angel baby, and it's spread to the boobs and the tummy which is awful. Just little patches but super annoying.
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? My biggest struggle is with perfectionism and control. And pregnancy is definitely one thing you do not have control over! Taking 8 or so months to conceive when all my friends were getting pregnant immediately, followed by loss, followed by an ectopic scare with this new pregnancy, followed by loss of symptoms in week 8 that freaked me out, means I've had to let go my desire for control and just trust that God has my family and my little one in his hands and I don't! Not easy but good for my faith.
Rant: My mom has been visiting from out of state to 'help' while I'm nauseous and sick still. But she mostly is gone hanging out with friends or taking naps. It's been nice to see her, but I havent seen much helping.
I had an appointment today, just a quick check in. Listened to our little guy. Peed in a cup. Got blood drawn (thyroid).
Constipation. I've cried a few times in the past week which is uncharacteristic and a change from my pregnancy grumpiness. My arms go numb no matter what position I sleep. This wakes me up several times each night now. Anyone else?
Rave: Friends recently gave me a bunch of really nice high-ticket baby items that they no longer need. Their generosity made me cry. It makes me so happy to see the baby gear in our nursery.
@MWoodside, I, too, miss hot yoga and will be even more bummed when the snow arrives. The hot studio is such a welcome reprieve from the Montana winters.
@HGRich I don't think I would have articulated it as well as you, but YES - - I share your vice and, you're right, it makes pregnancy particularly difficult.
@thecavfamily I've been having issues with my arms falling asleep at night too!
I am 14 weeks!
Baby is the size of a Rubik's Cube!
No doctor's appointments this week.
Still dealing with nausea. This week supper has been giving me bad stomach aches. Sleep hasn't been great either.
I have a belly but it's not all baby yet. Every time I see SIL, she rubs it and it drives me crazy. I can't wait until my belly is officially all baby.
My biggest vice would be sweets. I have not done a great a job avoiding them either.
13 Weeks! (I don't know why but I felt like this was a milestone for me)
Size of an espresso cup!
No appointments until the 25th
Symptoms: I still haven't been able to go a week without throwing up. Hungry, and peeing and lot more now, which I thought was suppose to go away these few weeks not start
Rants/Raves: same as @boone484 I've had a bit of a stomach before being pregnant, it is getting a little bump like but it just looks big now and I know it is not all baby
GTKY: Diet Coke! I haven't had one since I got the positive test. I would kill for one.
Appointments this week? : Nope! I am anxiously awaiting the results from last week's NT scan though!
Symptoms? : I was feeling AWESOME these past few days to the point where I had to bust out the doppler to make sure baby was okay! Now, I am back to being fatigued and just threw up everything I ate today. Oh well, these past few days were SO good while they lasted
Rant/Rave/Questions? : I hate how my pants don't fit, however I have yet to find maternity pants that are a good fit for me, everything i've tried so far is baggy in the thighs (even maternity leggings). Argh! I'm thinking about buying some black bootcut yoga pants and calling it a day. I seriously haven't been able to zip my pants up more than 50% in 3 weeks now.
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? : Excedrin, Cold cuts, coffee/caffeine. I'm dying without these things, I never realized how much I loved cold cuts and relied on Excedrin and coffee to get me through my day until I'm not allowed to have them
@Lovable Bump Even though I haven't gained weight I haven't worn jeans or pants with a fly for many weeks. I've just been bloated and really sensitive. So I've been living in maxi skirts, leggings, and I got some yoga pants at Target that have a fold down waistband. Maternity pants and leggings are too big in the thighs on me too.
yes, tomorrow! I go every 2 weeks because I am considered "high risk". I have to take my blood pressure and record it twice a day because my blood pressure was through the roof on my first appointment. (I'm extremely high anxiety) My blood pressure has been great ever since!
Symptoms?
pelvic pressure, stretching feeling, lots of gas and bloating. I stopped throwing up for two weeks then it came back once on Monday and twice on Tuesday. So far so good today.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I keep having extremely vivid realistic feeling BAD dreams, especially about my husband. It's always about him leaving me However he constantly makes me feel better and I know he would never leave, it just sucks to have the gut wrenching feeling several times a week when I wake up!
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? oh man, I used to drink tons of coffee and quite a bit of soda. I have had coffee maybe 5 times total (and a small one that I never finish) since I have been pregnant. I still have some kind of caffeine whether it be tea or a soda a few times a week. I used to looove chips of any kind, now I rarely eat them at all and I don't crave them.
I'm constantly late to this thing, but the Bump keeps making Chrome crash, and then it takes my whole computer with it. Trying firefox...
How far along are you?
16 weeks
How big is baby?
An avocado
Appointments this week?
Nope
Symptoms?
Tired, hungry
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? I don't have a food related one. I crochet like crazy, and have continued to do so.
Symptoms? Lots of tension / tugging / pain in my lower abdomen. Can't sleep very well and I'm also getting headaches. I'm eating a good variety of food though, although I'm craving lots of sweets even though I'm usually not a sweets kind of person.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm glad I have more energy now so I've been able to keep up with the house cleaning.
GTKY: What is your biggest vice? IF you have had to give it up for pregnancy, how are you doing? I can't really say that I've had to give anything specific up that I'm having a hard time with.
Re: Monday Ticker Change 10-17-16
Lemon.
None.
Nausea still. Exhaustion.
Rant: My mom has been visiting from out of state to 'help' while I'm nauseous and sick still. But she mostly is gone hanging out with friends or taking naps. It's been nice to see her, but I havent seen much helping.
Vice: I miss my hot vinyasa yoga practice.
