Tonight - not sure actually... which is OK. I am sure DH and I will go out to eat somewhere, and I may see if he wants to stop a couple places and look at baby stuff (Target, Hobby Lobby). If not, we'll probably just come home and watch shows we missed last night when we were catching up other shows from this week last night.
Saturday - Tailgating before our college alum football game, which is at 2:30. It should be an OK game, which is against one of their rivalries and their fans only have to travel a couple hours to get here so there is usually a ton of them in the stands. After that, who knows!
Sunday - probably laundry... which is our Sunday norm. I will probably go through more of the babies room to see what can go where so more can be done with it. We finally got the dresser and just need to put it together. Maybe I'll order the crib this weekend. I also want to start writing Thank You's for my shower I had this past Sunday, and go through all those gifts so they have a home for the mean time.
I have Monday off to use up some vacation days... and it's also our 2nd Anniversary! I am treating myself to a mani/pedi and will probably just go out for supper somewhere nice. Our last anniversary as a family of 2!

Big plan for the weekend- indulging my nesting instinct! I have so much to organize, clean, and cook. It's hitting me now that I'm past the 30 week mark that I should do this stuff before I get to uncomfortable to want to do anything. I'm also going to see a friend's play tonight, so that should be fun. All of this while trying not to float away during this crazy huge storm hitting the Seattle area this weekend.
Storm! Also in the Seattle vicinity, about 15 miles north. We are expected to have a giant storm starting tomorrow night! Trees are already down, power outages have already begun from a small storm last night and a medium one that's just starting to hit now. I've been doing laundry like crazy, getting out candles and flashlights too. We live in a kind of rural area with a lot of really large trees. Because the ground is soaked already, tomorrow's wind is supposed to knock a bunch more down. Other than that, DD has a soccer game on Sunday right when the storm is supposed to be heading out. And I must clean! My back is killing me but the urge to clean is real. Also, still getting over a cold. All in all I shouldn't be doing diddly, but I can't help it.
H gets to come see L and I for the weekend!!!!!!! He hasn't had any days off in over 5 weeks. So L and I are going to spend all weekend playing with the puppies, and snuggling with man of the house.

Hopefully finishing the painting in baby's room and starting on refinishing the dresser. And laundry. And tonight I have someone coming over to fix some siding up by my roof that the wind knocked loose on wednesday. No exciting, but it will be nice getting some of this stuff done!
May or may not go visit my cousin and her new babe, but they just got home yesterday so I'd rather go next weekend once things have calmed down a bit for them.
Like @andra81410 & @yellingbanana, I'll be contending with the big storm coming to the PNW. Tomorrow, we are going to a "Day about baby" class at the hopsital. This should give us a nice overview of what we do once we actually have a baby. I figure the hospital is a good safe place to be during the big storm :-) On Sunday, I'll probably just chill and watch some football and maybe take some measurements of the nursery to figure out what additional furniture we can fit.
Tonight I'll probably do nothing - recovering from a surprisingly painful and draining TDaP shot. Maybe go out to dinner somewhere, but I think I'd rather have hubby run out and pick something up
Tomorrow morning we're supposed to pick up some lumber, then we're going to the Renaissance Festival with bro and sis-in-law. It should be good weather but if I feel like I do today, I will be super tired afterwards and will only want to nap. Might have to coffee up for it!
Sunday, watch football and my mom might come over and help me go through everything from last weekend's baby shower. Hopefully cooking something delicious too
Stay safe, PNW folks! Hope the storm passes quickly!
Yayyyy Friday! Tonight DS and I will hang out while DH is at work. I'll try really hard to stay up past 8pm so I can catch up on my shows. I've been going to sleep so early.
Tomorrow DS has a soccer game at 9:30. After that I may go get a pedicure, or I may take a nap. One of my girlfriends is coming over to hang out at around 1....she is accompanying me to get my hair done at 4. We haven't seen each other in a while so it should be fun to just chill and talk. DH says he's going to put baby's dresser and crib together yayyy.
Sunday I volunteered to help teacher K/1st Sunday school, so I'll do that before church. Then I may need to come into the office for a bit, but maybe not. Maybe I'll just nap.
Probably obsess more over my hospital bag, scrub something, do some nesting stuff. DH has a major project due for school so he'll probably be MIA all weekend, and my team played last night so I don't intend on watching much football.
My major plan is to sew a stack of burp cloths, as I've had the fabric forever. And sew a few night gowns for the hospital. I'm not finding exactly what I want in the stores here and everything online is just too pricey for not being what I have in mind. So I'm going to attempt it myself.
@Kacie209 - Happy early Anniversary! Our 1st anniversary is Monday We might go to dinner but honestly we haven't even talked about it.
I traveled to my parents in Ohio yesterday, so I'm on a eat all the good hometown things tour. Tomorrow is my shower, and I fly back Sunday. I did order a new iPhone today, I'm excited for that to come.
Tonight I made chocolate chip cookies for my grandmother and FI. I can't eat any but I feel good doing something nice for them. I was sick all day, went to my PCP and got a GI referral, and I've been feeling better the last couple of hours so I've gotten some cleaning and laundry done.
Birthing class and hospital tour tomorrow pretty much all day, hoping I'll feel good after the class so I can come home and clean some more.
Working on a group project for school on Sunday. No other plans that I know of so we may do something FI wants to later that evening. He's been super busy today so I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it. Midterms are killing both of us this week and next week.
Saturday we have birth prep class all day. I am really looking forward to this class. Sunday will probably be a lazy day or I may work a bit to catch up.
@aevan011 - I sewed burp clothes last weekend and really enjoyed it. I didn't even think to do my own hospital gown. Do you have any recommended templates?
We are getting some of the big storm here in Northern California too. So tonight's we ordered pizza and are hanging out in front of the fire watching Bones on Netflix.
Tomorrow we are going to put a few things up in the nursery. I have another load of laundry to do for the baby. And we need to finish putting together the swing. I think we might go see a movie tomorrow too. I need to do Dh's laundry and mine as well since DH will be in Oregon for work next week.
Sunday will be grading for me and just hanging out with Dh. We were going to go up to Apple Hill but with the rain we probably wont.

Tonight was outdoor movie night at DD's school, so she and I went to that. Tomorrow morning is grocery shopping, and then I'm hoping to head up to a few apple orchards tomorrow afternoon with DD and my mom. DH has had a REALLY rough week at work, so I'm trying to think of something nice and special to do for him tomorrow night once he gets off. Sunday is our normal day of church, family lunch, and board game day!
Super packed weekend for us. Tonight I had dinner with my parents and we went to purchase the crib (they bought it for us). Tomorrow is our childbirth class all day and Sunday is our baby shower. I'm already tired just thinking about it!
Tonight we went and had pizza and did about half our grocery shopping. I went on a multiple store quest to find some Halo Top so I can try some new flavors. No luck. Boo. I have a serious sweet tooth right now and it would be good to have some so I could guiltlessly satisfy it without eating all the halloween candy and sugar cookies I can find (Seriously staging an intervention on myself next week).
Got some goodies at Trader Joe's to make thank you baggies for my baby shower hostesses on Sunday - they have cute mini pumpkins and pumpkin shaped iced sugar cookies, I'll toss in some candy and a thank you note. Tomorrow we will probably finish grocery shopping and then let DH veg out and play his new video game. He's been looking forward to the new Battlefield since May so I'll probably read and do laundry and let him do his thing.
Sunday I have my last baby shower and I can't wait because I also get to see my family. I've not gotten to see my dad, sister, or grandparents since July when we did the gender reveal and I've missed them a lot. Hopefully all the driving to Georgia and back before a Monday won't be too brutal. FX we don't get too many more clothes, the boy already has more clothes than I do and I'm pretty sure he'll not get to wear it all as it is. Womp.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Y'all stay safe where it's storming!
Prenatal yoga on Saturday, but nothing else planned. I think I will stay home and hang out/clean/etc. Sunday so that my husband can work on the master bathroom. We want to move into the master bedroom before this kid comes, so he needs all the time he can get to work on it.
*SIGGY* Baby G born 6/6/14, 37 weeks 1 day due to preeclampsia. 5lb12oz 19" #2 due Christmas 2016.
My shower is today, yay! My parents, sister, niece and nephew came in yesterday so we hung out most of the day and DH grilled at our place for dinner. We'll head to the shower in a couple hours--hoping we don't get too many clothes either, since I've gotten a LOT of hand me downs from my 20 month old nephew and my friend who has a 7 month old. Looks like we got the important stuff off the registry (stroller and car seats), plus some of the smaller things. We still need a bassinet and a baby carrier though, so I'll be taking advantage of the completion discount to get those.
After the shower my family is coming back over to carve pumpkins at our place (after I take a nap), and tomorrow I am going to yoga and then our childbirth class. Kind of a busy weekend, hopefully I'll be able to sleep well Sunday so I'm not a total zombie at work this week.
@Upromise9687 I'm actually just sewing a nightgown, it's basically a baseball shirt but I'm altering the pattern to have a lower placket with snaps so I can breastfeed in it. I just got really tired of seeing nursing nightgowns with the nursing clips for $$$$$$ or minimal coverage. I'm not trying for sexy!
I considered making hospital gowns but decided against it because 1) it'll probably get ruined and 2) I wanted to use comfy fabric to use when I go home... but these are the tutorials I had pinned:
We're getting ready to go hang out with some good friends - excited to see them and excited for our dogs to wear themselves out playing with theirs. But it's a 1.5 hour drive each way so it'll be a bit exhausting. Tomorrow I'm probably meeting up with another friend who's about the same distance away. So much driving = one thing I don't love about rural life. In between we're starting to pack for our upcoming move, doing some farm planning, trying to get over our colds. And going to the dump, very exciting when we have a month's worth of recycling in our basement.
@dmontgo welcome to the bedrest club... sorry you had to join us. I thought I was getting released from my modified bed rest at my appointment last week, but she said maybe at my appointment in two weeks, after another ultrasound. Its frustrating, but we can do it!
We are having a lazy weekend. The next two weekends are busy, so I am trying to enjoy it now! Last night, we just hung out at home and watched tv. This morning, DH is rounding stuff up to make a run to the dump. Not sure what we're doing this afternoon. Tonight DH is starting to cook a brisket, which will cook overnight. Tomorrow we'll probably clean the house a bit and then have our parents over for dinner to chow down on the brisket
@jandd2014 How many weeks are you? I'm 31 on Monday. I really hope I don't have to spend the rest of the pregnancy doing this, but I am glad I'm not on strict bed rest. What kind of activities do you do? The concept of bedrest is very hard for me to grasp haha.
@dmontgo I'm 33 weeks today. I was put on strict bed rest (laying flat 50 minutes out of every hour) at 25 weeks. After an ultrasound at the MFM doctor at 28 weeks, my doctor lifted some restrictions, so I've been on modified bed rest for 5 weeks. She had talked about lifting all restrictions at 34 weeks, but after seeing her on Thursday, she wants to wait until I have another ultrasound, which they can't do until the 28th. So I have at least two more weeks. Right now, my restrictions are pelvic rest, to be sitting down more than I'm standing up, no housework (no lifting, bending, reaching), but I can go for a short, easy walk (15 minutes) once a day or I can go shopping but I can't push the cart. When she put me on modified bed rest, she said if I had a desk job, she would let me go back to work, but I don't (I teach special ed kindergarten!), so I am still not working. I've been keeping busy by doing small projects from the couch. I made a mobile for the baby's room, finally finished our wedding scrapbook, purged a bunch of old magazines, little things like that. It's been hard for me to be always sitting down because I'm usually a putter-er, I'm always doing little things around the house and the yard. But honestly, it has gotten easier the longer I've been doing it. It's still not easy or any less frustrating, but I guess I've adapted to the new normal routine. Good luck!! It sounds like your DH has been a great support!
Having a lazy Saturday. Got my prenatal massage this morning and it was the weirdest yet wonderful experience. This 74 year old woman spent nearly the entire hour working on my pyriformis muscles and omg I felt amazing afterward. Going back to see her in two weeks, I booked this on a whim, and I am so grateful they scheduled me with this therapist who actually listened to what I need vs the cookie cutter massage experience. Finally made a pumpkin roll with the kids and they decided they hated it, so now I am stuck eating the whole thing. And I want to go car seat shopping but none of us are motivated enough to leave the house. And I have to make Girl Scout SWAPs with DD for her encampment in a couple weeks, I am hoping it's not a complete Pinterest fail!
@aevan011 awesome! Thank you for the links. I'll let you know if I do end up making one. I managed to make a Christmas stocking today and will hopefully have some wash clothes done this weekend too.
Today was spent timing my very crampy maybe contractions until they finally subsided at work around 4. Tomorrow is football and crochet day. The new trend is yarn pooling (basically trying to get a consistent pattern out of a variegated skein of yarn) and so I gotta jump on that bandwagon. Monday is my usual day off but I'm working so I can take Thursday off for my ultrasound. On the bright side I'm getting paid to receive a massage so there's that.
For those of you who have been thru BH contrax or real contrax; I wasn't sure exactly what I was feeling today. I was experiencing heavy moderate low abdomen cramps. The cramps would last up to a minute each time, but I didn't feel any hardening of my uterus and the pain didn't radiate to my back or anywhere. Would you consider that normal? Maybe just RL pain from her engaging head down? Any experience is greatly appreciated!

We had our baby shower! The weather people kept saying we were going to have this horrible storm, and only about half who said they were coming showed up....the storm didn't happen. Like our local news is talking about how the weather people screwed up lol. Oh well. It was still good. Have more clothes than I think the girls could possibly wear! Gotta go through them today and see if there are any bigger sizes, or if they're all nb-3mos. The things we really needed were baby blankets and burp cloths, which we got none of. So we'll still need to get those! My mom made me bawl my eyes out, by labeling a gift "from your guardian angel Wiley", who is our dog who recently passed. There were two snugly lovies with dogs that looked like our Wiley my other favorite gift was from one of my sisters, two 1986 cabbage patch dolls, with red hair. She put them in onesies, and put fairy wings on them I got one that looked almost the same when I was 2, and carried it everywhere until she was loved too much and fell apart when I was like 5. My mom got me one almost identical to the one I had for Christmas when I was 15 lol. My mom also made these framed picture things for the nursery that are really cute, and the lace in them was hand crocheted by my grandmother who passed away in 2011. Bliss was her middle name, which we're giving to one of the girls.
We had family photos yesterday! I've been nursing a cold all week and was puking right before running out the door to the shoot, so I was less than optimistic. But our friend sent us a couple of teasers and oh my ❤️
@brittnic86 love the CP dolls! I saved my first CP baby and it's DD1's favorite doll now. I always keep an eye out for them at thrift stores... they are just classic ❤️
By the way, all of the special and personalized gifts at your shower made me want to cry. That's amazing, and special, you've got one heck of a family and friends!
