  • @kiwi2628 lol yeah, that should do the trick. If I tried that I'm sure my marker wouldn't work !  ;)

@mrs35 a bit of late advice from a groomer. Skunks spray an oil that breaks down on the coat when you put water on them. Once the oil is broken down its impossible to get out. When your dog gets sprayed by a skunk you need to use hydrogen peroxide, sunlight dish soap, vinegar, and baking soda that you mix together and put on the dog before wetting it. Rub the mixture in and then rinse with water. The smell can last for up to two years after they have been sprayed. It will return each time the dog gets wet. The tomato juice theory just doesn't work.  :/

@bswishe4 I'm pretty sure I just think I have an idea of what I am doing but in reality I have no clue. Lol

  • @BertieMeetsGertie Haha if I really wanted to torture you, I would post pics this weekend ;) I have a kitchen aid mixer and I asked for the pasta attachments for xmas the one year. Apparently, the attachments are super expensive too so I only got one - the one that makes flat pasta. Trust me, it is still a pain and I have only made pasta from scratch probably twice in two years lol. I plan on using it this weekend out of sheer guilt.

However!! I did see a bunch of recipes using wonton wrappers for the ravs instead Check this out: https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/pumpkin-ravioli/  It looks much easier, right?!
  • @FLAshley THANK YOU! After the Clamato we did some googling and used dish soap and baking soda. That definitely helped! Now I know for next time though!

CS/Q: This feels like a dumb question, but: I have a cold or allergies and I've been sneezing a lot. Does my mucus up there affect my CM? Like, is there more or less CM if I have a cold or are they totally independent?

    ***Dirty Lurking from TWW***

I was wondering this too!!!! During WTO and part of FW I had a nasty cold and was like "all my EWCM is coming out of my nose!"
  • @pepper16 your dog story is too funnny!  My dog tried to do the same thing last night.  We were in a different part of the house than usual, and our dog is always at our side, so being in a different room meant he was right there!  We finished and looked over and saw his cute little face and he was about to jump up on us!  but it would be a fantastic story to tell your kid if you do get KU this cycle.

Hahahaha to @Pepper16. That's so funny!!
  • @FLAshley I am in my first month as well and I am frustrated as well. I also have noticed every little pain or cramp in my body. I guess I am mostly frustrated because I am not charting yet and this being my first cycle off BC, I have no idea when I O'd or if I even did.

The BSC has already started for me. Maybe this belongs in FFFC but... I actually took a HPT this morning knowing full well I wasn't KU since I had been cramping like hell that night. But still... I wanted to check. Now I just wish AF would move in and then get out.

@PleaseSendPicklesNow I am so so sorry for your loss. Please know you're in my thoughts.  <3

@Saralee797 I need one of those pasta things in my life!! After years of bugging my H about buying me a kitchenad mixer, he finally did a few years ago. I use it weekly but don't have any attachments. Oh, and here's me when I clicked on the link for Pioneer Woman's recipe:

  • @Ohemgee Everyone's pre-o, as well as post-o temps will differ.  There's nothing wrong with yours being in the high 96s and after a few months tracking, you can compare and see what your normal range is.

Your cold on its own will not affect your CM, but any medication you take for it could. Sudafed will likely dry you out, as could an anti-histamine. I think the science is inconclusive for Mucinex increasing CM, but you may also see a change with it.

  • @lulu1180 Thank you!!!  I googled (obviously) and kept seeing "thyroid issue" (which I don't have any issues with), but couldn't get it out of my head.  I am very new to temping, and have a hold of TCOYF at the library, so hopefully that will clear a lot of things up for me.

@Ohemgee I will warn you about using Google when TTC......you will likely drive yourself crazy.  I did pretty good last cycle after the previous was unsuccessful (after nearly perfect timing).  If you can stay away during the TWW, I applaud you but the Google rabbit-hole of BSC is real!

ETA hope this didn't come across snarky, I totally didn't mean it that way! :)

  • @lulu1180 Not snarky at all!  And trust me, I know!!  My husband is somewhat of a hypochondriac, and i'm always on his case about googling things (nothing good comes from google!) I really should start practicing what I preach....

  • @SaphireSweetie88 do we go to the same dentist!?  Cuz ours did the same damn thing only it took them four months instead of your two.

  • @abjm0325 In your case, I might possibly suggest making it seem more spontaneous until he gets more used to the idea. However, my DH likes to know what's going on so I actually told him a few days ago that we were going to start EOD on Sunday. And after I O I'll tell him that we're done with it for now.

    R/R: Nothing today

CS/Q: I'm pretty sure I just found egg white CM on my underwear. I was able to grab it and stretch it about 3-4 inches. My question  is it that or could it be left over sperm from last night? Is that possible? I've never noticed anything like this before. When I was trying for DS I never checked CM. So I'm new to this.

GTKU: What are your weekend plans?
Lots of baby dancing if I am ovulating. Other then that just trying to get the house cleaned up a bit now that my back isn't hurting anymore.
  • @swimsister my DH and I always work opposite shifts. We have those same romantic conversations! Just have to fit it in when you can hah
  • @NYTino24 When I explained charting to H he had a similar reply and said, "well let's just do it every day and then you don't have to chart!" Right... How simple! Why didn't I think of that?! <insert eye roll gifs here>

  • (lurking)

@ohemgee I also have pre O temps of 96.9 or below and I've never had a post O temp of 98+. I read in TCOYF that such low temps mean hypothyroid, which I have but take meds for. I asked my endocrinologist about this and she said those temp guidelines aren't correct. There is no reason to think temps in the 96s are a problem. If you have low temps plus hypothyroid symptoms, then you can get a blood test, but some people just run cool.

@PleaseSendPicklesNow I'm so sorry for your loss and can't imagine what you are going through. I hope this TTC process can be a healing one for you both. Just fyi on the magnesium, Mg supplements give me serious upset stomach and loose stools so you may want to start with a small dose to see how you respond. (I can't take them at all)

  • @bumpybump - Haha we just might. I would be going crazy if it took that long.

  • @PleaseSendPicklesNow I agree with @adirat on the Mg supplements. I can only take half the daily dosage of it to not have crazy loose stools all day. I've been told not everyone reacts this way.

  • Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope *everyone's* time here is short, and we're all on birth month boards soon.

@adirat Thanks for the warning about the magnesium. I'm still on iron due to anemia that cropped up during my last pregnancy, so maybe magnesium will counter the iron's effects?  :#
  • @PleaseSendPicklesNow
I may just have a really sensitive system, but I can't take iron supplements either so I have no idea. Like @bumpybump said, many people have no issue with Mg so you should see how you react. I just wanted to warn you. Maybe try it on a day you don't need to go to work or anything. Don't be like me.

  • @adirat & @NYTino24 thank you for the knowledge! Makes me feel better
  • Sorry for posting and ghosting ladies, it's been a long day (in a good way!) and I didn't have a chance to even mobile bump.

Thank yall so much for all the kind words (there were so many of you to tag, and I'm mobile bumping from bed at the moment)! The support this community shows continues to amaze me... even when it comes to non-TTC stuff. You are my people!
