I guess my UO from the other thread is that I don't mind paying taxes. Yea, I hate spending money but I know what most of my taxes go towards and I don't mind.
This is partly bc a lot of my family worked for the IRS. That being said, I think a lot of our tax code needs to be rewritten because it is outdated.

Same here, I remind myself when paying taxes, it pays for my job, school teacher, it pays for my husband jobs accountant. And even paid for everything while growing up, both my parents where in the army then they moved to govt jobs in DC. So I understand what the taxes pay for but man do they need to be rewritten.
man I would pay 50% taxes if I could pick where my money went. But knowing we pay a huge percentage (we are in CA my sales tax alone is 10%) to pay asshole congress people that keep redistricting to stay elected and government contractors who are abusing the system when things like there being a bill for a bond to put AC in classrooms. It really puts sand in my vag. I have so many feels on this.

I feel the same way about a lot of my taxes. Also, I love the expression "sand in my vag" :-)
UO I don't even know half the shoes mentioned here... I'm not big on reality tv. I will flip to the home improvement channel or discovery channel if I'm at my inlaws or a hotel. I like those crazy Alaskan wilderness shows and such. At home we don't have TV so I use Netflix/Hulu... I'm more into crime/action or sci-fi!
