@kiwi2628 lol yeah, that should do the trick. If I tried that I'm sure my marker wouldn't work !
@mrs35 a bit of late advice from a groomer. Skunks spray an oil that breaks down on the coat when you put water on them. Once the oil is broken down its impossible to get out. When your dog gets sprayed by a skunk you need to use hydrogen peroxide, sunlight dish soap, vinegar, and baking soda that you mix together and put on the dog before wetting it. Rub the mixture in and then rinse with water. The smell can last for up to two years after they have been sprayed. It will return each time the dog gets wet. @kiwi2628 I'm new to this whole CP thing (can TOTALLY understand falling off the toilet!!), but I thought that it was supposed to be HIGH at ovulation, not low. The acronym for when you're the most fertile is "SHOW" as in: soft, high, open, wet. So maybe you're still a few days away, especially since you haven't gotten EWCM yet? Not sure!

Trust me, it is still a pain and I have only made pasta from scratch probably twice in two years lol. I plan on using it this weekend out of sheer guilt.

@BertieMeetsGertie I've had nightmare cramps my whole life and I don't think it's something more serious, but who knows! I will say, heating pad and RRL tea have helped me the most, along with larger-than-recommended doses of Advil, but I've been trying to avoid that while TTC.

I asked what was going on and reminded them they told me back in August (when I got the first bill for over $2800) that they forgot to bill insurance and that they would do so immediately so I should disregard that bill. When I called this morning, they told me the same thing! I may have gone a bit crazy and yelled at them since this is 2 months now that they didn't bill insurance. The BSC has already started for me. Maybe this belongs in FFFC but... I actually took a HPT this morning knowing full well I wasn't KU since I had been cramping like hell that night. But still... I wanted to check. Now I just wish AF would move in and then get out.

Your cold on its own will not affect your CM, but any medication you take for it could. Sudafed will likely dry you out, as could an anti-histamine. I think the science is inconclusive for Mucinex increasing CM, but you may also see a change with it.

Is that possible? I've never noticed anything like this before. When I was trying for DS I never checked CM. So I'm new to this.
GTKU: What are your weekend plans? Lots of baby dancing if I am ovulating. Other then that just trying to get the house cleaned up a bit now that my back isn't hurting anymore.
@abjm0325 Maybe ask him how much he wants to know? I tend to let my DH know something like "the window starts on Wednesday". This month we're working opposite shifts and barely seeing each other so I literally emailed him a list of dates we had to figure out when we could do it. #romantic
The assistant for my team has been on mat leave and this is her first week back, so a couple of us took her for lunch.
She's pregnant again - due in March.
Apparently, it was a huge shock to her. It took them 18 months to have their first kid, then they waited a couple of years before another year of trying for the second one. They figured they'd start trying again as it normally takes a while for them. First time - boom! I don't think she even had a post-partum period.
She is incredibly nervous about the whole thing - not sure how the boss will take it etc. Plus, honestly, she looks totally pregnant now. I just assumed she was really fat after the baby!
I was sitting there congratulating her, while being totally jealous and selfish about the pregnancy AND thinking "please don't leave us with a crap mat leave replacement like the last woman we had!"
@ohemgee I have low temps to begin with and I can still see an O spike, but my temp barely breaks 98 even then. The time you take it also affects it because room temperatures are warmer or colder (slightly, depending on outside daytime temps). @shstephenson My god does that sound like a tv episode. Does exercise help you? A day off? @PleaseSendPicklesNow I cannot imagine what you are going through. I've heard TTCAL offers tremendous support. Here is more on magnesium for others who are interested: https://natural-fertility-info.com/importance-of-magnesium.html @abjm0325 I agree with @swimsister - Ask him if / what he wants to know and when. My DH didn't want to know much other than when we need to do it. He actually looked at my chart a few days ago after I had some drinks. He asked how I knew I wasn't KTFU and I showed him my temp drop. Then he got curious and said we needed to have sex more when he saw how often it was. Well duh, we are TTC this cycle instead of NTNP so we are going to HIO a lot more! PS he also said temping, checking CM, and doing OPKs wasn't doing something to get pregnant and that if we just did it every other day then we should get KU... so I take what he says with a grain of salt!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 When I explained charting to H he had a similar reply and said, "well let's just do it every day and then you don't have to chart!" Right... How simple! Why didn't I think of that?! <insert eye roll gifs here>
Me: 28 I MH: 27 Married August 2016 TTC #1 September 2016 BFP 10/31/16 EDD 7/16/17
@ohemgee I also have pre O temps of 96.9 or below and I've never had a post O temp of 98+. I read in TCOYF that such low temps mean hypothyroid, which I have but take meds for. I asked my endocrinologist about this and she said those temp guidelines aren't correct. There is no reason to think temps in the 96s are a problem. If you have low temps plus hypothyroid symptoms, then you can get a blood test, but some people just run cool.
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I'm so sorry for your loss and can't imagine what you are going through. I hope this TTC process can be a healing one for you both. Just fyi on the magnesium, Mg supplements give me serious upset stomach and loose stools so you may want to start with a small dose to see how you respond. (I can't take them at all)
@abjm0325 DH and I never discussed a schedule - I thrive on medical data and information gathering, DH...not so much. I initiate if he hasn't and we're in the FW. Works for us and feels less like work, more like fun

@PleaseSendPicklesNow I agree with @adirat on the Mg supplements. I can only take half the daily dosage of it to not have crazy loose stools all day. I've been told not everyone reacts this way.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope *everyone's* time here is short, and we're all on birth month boards soon.
@adirat Thanks for the warning about the magnesium. I'm still on iron due to anemia that cropped up during my last pregnancy, so maybe magnesium will counter the iron's effects?
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I may just have a really sensitive system, but I can't take iron supplements either so I have no idea. Like @bumpybump said, many people have no issue with Mg so you should see how you react. I just wanted to warn you. Maybe try it on a day you don't need to go to work or anything. Don't be like me.
Sorry for posting and ghosting ladies, it's been a long day (in a good way!) and I didn't have a chance to even mobile bump.

R/R: My rant is the same as my FFFC - I called my dentist office this morning because yesterday we got a bill for over $2800 (again) when the bill should be about $200 -- $300 (my dentist office checks with insurance to see how much they will cover before anything is done so that the patient knows what to expect for out of pocket costs). They told me they would make sure it got done today. Ugh
Rave: It's Friday and I have off work.
CS/Q: No
GTKU: What are your weekend plans? I am off today but have to work tomorrow

The BSC has already started for me. Maybe this belongs in FFFC but... I actually took a HPT this morning knowing full well I wasn't KU since I had been cramping like hell that night. But still... I wanted to check. Now I just wish AF would move in and then get out.
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I am so so sorry for your loss. Please know you're in my thoughts.
@Saralee797 I need one of those pasta things in my life!! After years of bugging my H about buying me a kitchenad mixer, he finally did a few years ago. I use it weekly but don't have any attachments. Oh, and here's me when I clicked on the link for Pioneer Woman's recipe:

CS/Q: My husband is glad we're trying to have a baby, but he's a somewhat hesitant guy in general and I don't want to overload him with too much information. How have you all approached talking about a HIO schedule? Or should I avoid that and try to make it seem more "spontaneous"?
GTKU: What are your weekend plans?
I can't decide if it's good or bad that we don't have many weekend plans. We're getting part of our fence replaced tomorrow and I need to paint our bedroom before we get new carpet in a couple weeks. Yay for home improvement projects!

WAYDTGKU: charting/temping, pre seed, PNV, Eod Baby dancing.
R/R: Nothing today
CS/Q: I'm pretty sure I just found egg white CM on my underwear. I was able to grab it and stretch it about 3-4 inches. My question is it that or could it be left over sperm from last night? Is that possible? I've never noticed anything like this before. When I was trying for DS I never checked CM. So I'm new to this.
GTKU: What are your weekend plans?
Lots of baby dancing if I am ovulating. Other then that just trying to get the house cleaned up a bit now that my back isn't hurting anymore.
The assistant for my team has been on mat leave and this is her first week back, so a couple of us took her for lunch.
Happy freaking Friday. Bring on the wine.
@shstephenson My god does that sound like a tv episode. Does exercise help you? A day off?
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I cannot imagine what you are going through. I've heard TTCAL offers tremendous support. Here is more on magnesium for others who are interested: https://natural-fertility-info.com/importance-of-magnesium.html
@abjm0325 I agree with @swimsister - Ask him if / what he wants to know and when.

R/R: Such a long weeeeeeek! I went out drinking with friends last night and didn't get home until 1am. Plus work is super stressful this week and I have a cold. A coworker pointed out that I look as terrible as I feel...thanks?
CS/Q: Ugh, no. Crappy attempt at temping and started OPKs late (for me) so my chart looks terrible. I may have caught the tail end of my LH surge on CD 9 but without a peak (yet), I feel like I'm flying blind this cycle.

@adirat Thanks for the warning about the magnesium. I'm still on iron due to anemia that cropped up during my last pregnancy, so maybe magnesium will counter the iron's effects?
I may just have a really sensitive system, but I can't take iron supplements either so I have no idea. Like @bumpybump said, many people have no issue with Mg so you should see how you react. I just wanted to warn you. Maybe try it on a day you don't need to go to work or anything. Don't be like me.
Thank yall so much for all the kind words (there were so many of you to tag, and I'm mobile bumping from bed at the moment)! The support this community shows continues to amaze me... even when it comes to non-TTC stuff. You are my people!
