@zwink1 congrats on accepting an offer! Fx for a smooth closing! That's great that you were able to move into a new home before selling your current place hopefully that helped the move go smoothly!!
@bumpybump was the pain more so during sex and then afterwards or has been more consistent pain throughout the day?
@swimsister tough decision!!! I think it's great you're going to the interview so it gives you the chance to get all the information you need! I was in a similar situation and interviewed for a bunch of jobs and was willing to TTA if I found the right one (current job was too stressful which was another negative) got offered several positions but none really piqued my interest, wound up staying in my same agency but switched to another client population which worked out great. Age was a big consideration for me as well as health insurance so I set a point I wouldn't wait past but I will say that a switch has really decreased a lot of my stress but I kept all my same health insurance so it was a little different. What does YH think? Would you continue to have insurance through a switch? Good luck!
R/R: I have two rants today, sorry ladies. One is I work in a hospital and one of my coworkers who is a nurse is always asking about me and DH and I TTC. She asked what we've been doing (knows we've been trying a while) and I told her about preseed and she was like "oh I don't know about that" and it got me agitated. It's sperm friendly lube what's not to know about it? Made me sorry I even said anything to her. Rant #2 **possible TW** I heard on the radio this morning that people have been having "vasectomy parties" now that is the "we're not having a baby party/shower" they get cakes and celebrate the occasion. To each their own but this made my head spin.

@swimsister It depends a little on what kind of job it is. If it's something physically demanding, I'd TTA, but if you could do it while KU, I say just keep going for it (unless there's an issue where you'd have to be there for a year before you can get maternity leave or something). Have you read Lean In? There's a great chapter about "not leaving before you leave" (i.e. prioritizing your career up til you actually have the baby).

R/R: Ugh, I'm having a hard TTC day - the kind of day where you irrationally feel like you're out this month even though the FW hasn't even started!! I know I'm being BSC.
*TW* I think it's also just for whatever reason a hard loss day - I can't stop thinking about how if the pregnancy had stuck, I'd be going into my third trimester soon and instead, I'm not even pregnant and I might not be pregnant by my due date and it's just a bummer. AND, since I'm TTC#1, until I get a BFP, I'm going to stay paranoid that the one pregnancy was a fluke and maybe I secretly can't get pregnant/hold on to a pregnancy. I know that's not rational and I'm trying to remind myself of that, but some days, it's just hard. *End TW*
CS/Q: How much temperature variation is normal pre-O? For example, I had a 97.45 yesterday and a 96.93 today. I'm skeptical that temping is going to work for me because I'm such a crappy sleeper - is that a reasonable day-to-day variation or is it crazy?
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? My name is a total pain in the ass (it's not pronounced in the way most people think), but it's my name now and I guess I like it!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
@leilac We all have good and bad days but I know yours must be particularly more difficult TTCAL. It is so hard but try and focus on the positive and ALL the things you are doing to put yourself in the best position to get KU with a sticky baby. (this is why I love Ten Things Tuesday btw) And yea, a little treat never hurt nobody! Hugs today!!
@BertieMeetsGertie isn't it always fun to hear the other possible name choices they had lined up? My mother said she liked the name Georgia and Vanilla (not sure how that even qualifies lol)... and my grandmother said no way. Thank goodness!
@bumpybump I used to think I had O cramps... now I'm not really sure. I hate to sound wishy washy... but I'd say it's possible it's O pains, possibly something else (could it be sneaky gas? sorry TMI but you never know!). I think I read on here also that "O" cramps could happen before O or during as well... so I would definitely keep HIO!
@swimsister I got a job offer and then we put TTC on hold for almost a year. After 4-5 months on the job, I was dieing to start TTC again. We started back at it 5 months ago, and here I am today! (1 year and 1 month in to my new job) I would say it's really a personal choice, along with the usual "practical" questions... (would you qualify for FMLA? Do you need health insurance/when would you qualify?) I felt waiting close to a year was best for us for a few reasons, but it may not be a big deal where your potential new job is. I know that probably doesn't help much... but, just know that any decision that you make won't be wrong!
@littlebug2010 welcome back from vaca! hope it was wonderful!
@Dilynne that really sucks... could you stomp your feet a little or (I don't know how flexible your work schedule is) ask to be notified at the next cancellation? That seems really far away...
@beachbunnyxo123 ugh to the preseed comment... why is it her business in the first place? and unless she is some lube and sperm expert... why would she make that comment? What are you supposed to say to that besides mind your business?!
WAYDTGKU: Nothing but PNV, CoQ10. Will start temping again when the bleeding stops.

@leilac Sorry for the rough TTC day/week. I had a breakdown watching some silly ABC Family Christmas movie this week when I realized I wouldn't have a baby for Christmas this year. Take care of yourself.
@leilac@laeberge3 so sorry for the rough week and for your loss. It's hard to find the right words for these kinds of situations but I am sending many prayers and hugs your way.
WAYDTGKU: Bleeding right now, so only BBT (plus prenatal, Omega 3, vitamin C, CoQ-10). CM, Clearblue Fertility Monitor, EOD later.
R/R: State of mind is still "meh".
CS/Q: -
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I have the same name as millions of 80s girls and it doesn't really fit me, but I go by a shorter version and my husband calls me an even shorter one and they fit better.
@lulu1180 CoQ-10 for egg quality and B6 (well, B100 complex) to help lengthen my luteal phase. Both taken every day throughout my cycle. RRL is meant to be good for uterine health in general, but I've seen people recommend that you only take it up to o-day.
@swimsister Unless there were going to be mat leave / health insurance issues, I would absolutely keep TTCing and go for the job!
(lurking) Ladies, I'm so sorry for the tough TTC and TTCAL days today. Have a hug from me and this cute dancing puppy.
Just wanted to weigh in about the B vitamins and CoQ10 question -- my doctor suggested that my husband and I both take CoQ10 every day. It promotes egg health and sperm health. She recommended the Trader Joe's brand as it is relatively inexpensive compared to some options out there.
I added a B6/B12 combo vitamin toward the end of my third cycle in an attempt to lengthen my luteal phase. It is not working for me or it isn't working yet (last cycle I was still at an 8-day LP). I was taking it daily, but then someone on here (I think it was @TravelingCouple? Sorry if it was someone else and I don't remember) posted some research showing that it can delay O. I didn't want that, so now I take it only after ovulation. Again -- I haven't seen a difference in my luteal phase yet but I figure it can't hurt. My understanding is that you pee out any excess B vitamins so it's low risk/hard to overdose.
@zwink1 FX everything goes well for the home sale!!
@swimsister I would go for it! IF you get the job (FX for
your interview) you can decide at that time whether it makes sense for you to
TTA or not (insurance questions, etc.). It goes without saying that many ladies
get KU without trying (why can’t we ALL be those ladies?!?) and I’m sure some
of those women are starting new jobs, etc. without even thinking about it. The
way I look at things now, I would rather have a LO and try to figure everything
else out instead of figuring things out and then trying again for a LO. I hope
that makes sense. Best of luck!!!
@CrystalPDX HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And LOL I am still in my
jammies and braless! The “perks” of working from home (get it?!).
@lboalboh I’m also on the “trying to lose weight train.” GL!
@littlebug2010 Welcome back! GL on your 5K this weekend!
@MrsN092714 So sorry you were up again last night with DS.
And to top it off you have bad cramps.
@Dilynne UGH! Did they tell you why they had to cancel it??
@Nelbetron Way to go! I need some motivation in my life. And
LOL at your Mom liking “Vanilla”
@leilac Sorry you are having a rough TTC day. We’ve all had
them. Try to keep your head up, deary! After seeing all of the activity on the
grad thread, I got kinda sad because it would have been my week to post. Don’t
get me wrong, I couldn’t be happier for those ladies, it just stings a bit more
knowing that it could have been me this week, too.
So many responses! Thank you all for your input. I’m so
grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
My first concern is the maternity leave issue, whether I
would have access to leave time if it was within my first year. I don’t recall
maternity leave being discussed when the offer was made at any of my other jobs
so if it comes to it I’ll have to figure out how to ask about that. My second
concern is just whether it would be viewed as dishonest if I took the job and
didn’t disclose an early pregnancy until a few weeks into the job. My DH says
he’ll support whatever I decide about the job, but he wants to keep trying.
Sorry for the Dear Diary/Word Vomit posts today. I’m all in
my head about this.
As a side note, today’s GTKY makes me really curious what
everyone’s actual names are.
R/R: Totally off topic but I just found the most amazing tea in the world! Harney & Sons chocolate mint hot tea. It's amazing and almost making me feel better about this not being our month.
CS/Q: nope
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I have never thought of it. I guess I feel like it fits, it would seem weird being called something else. It has been over 4 years since I got married and I still haven't got used to a new last name.
@swimsister Go for the job you can handle whatever comes with it down the road. You will still have a decent amount of time to establish yourself at the company before you would need to leave. I put off TTC for different reasons and then put off planning things because of TTC I wish I would have just went for things.
I'm mobile and can't tag everyone, but thanks for all of the congrats and crossed fingers! I'm really hoping this closing goes smoothly so we can get rid of that life stressor.
@motherhubbard19 Happy Anniversary!!! I hope you two have a fabulous day.
@leilac I'm sorry you're having a rough day, but glad that you're feeling better! For what it is worth, I sleep horribly and can have huge temp shifts from one day to the next - this cycle has been especially bad. I'm still usually able to see a clear post-o shift... This cycle may be the exception.
@swimsister I think everyone has covered everything pro and con with the job situation. I hope your interview goes well, and I'm sure you'll make the decision that works best for you and your H.
@laeberge3 I'm sorry you are having such a rough day and am so sorry for your loss. I hope the time with your family helps.
@motherhubbard19 I'll have to look into uterus muscles contracting during O cuz I have no idea.
@beachbunnyxo123 two nights ago I only noticed it during sex but last night I noticed the cramping prior to sex and also during. I've been fine today so far. I guess men feel the need to be celebrated for having a surgery that now allows them to have sex without worry??? Strange!
@Nelbetron I totally agree on the "it could be but maybe not." I don't know that I've ever felt O cramps before but then again, I don't know. It's so confusing to me. Especially since it was two nights in a row. Hmm...
@swimsister it's illegal for the hiring company to ask if you are pregnant, TTC, etc. you are not being dishonest at all. You have every right to a job as anyone who is not pregnant or TTC. Don't shut yourself down/out of the job before even giving it a chance. As women, especially working mothers, we already have so much "against" us. Don't let this be against you.

@bumpybump I second what @Saralee797 said: I usually get sharp pains on one side (rather than cramping in my uterus/with HIO). As @Nelbetron points out, this could just be my O version of SS and it's really gas, but I've had these ever since I first starting having a period so I'm pretty sure they're the real thing!
@beachbunnyxo123 that pre-seed comment is exactly the kind of unsolicited advice that drives me NUTS!!
@laeberge3 I'm so sorry to hear about CD1 of TTCAL. I hope being a part of this community helps in some small way - we're all here to be hopeful with you.
@leilac I'm so glad you were able to spend some time with H and are feeling better.

@swimsister It may feel dishonest not to tell them you're pregnant when you are interviewing, but like @bumpybump said, it's illegal for them to consider that when hiring. You can always tell them right after you sign all the paperwork, if you want, just so you don't feel like you're hiding it from them.
R/R: Every month I think I'll magically O around CD14 and every month I'm shown that my cycle hasn't changed and O is always around the same time. Why do I waste so many OPKs every month thinking I'll catch an early surge? Just praying for at least an 11-12 day LP this month

@TravelingCouple I've only been charting for two cycles but so far, I have a high temp the day I get my first positive OPK and then a much lower temp (~.4) the next day which I also have a positive OPK. The second day has been my O date both times (note, all signs are pointing to that this cycle).

Ladies, I'm so sorry for the tough TTC and TTCAL days today.
IF you get the job (FX for your interview) you can decide at that time whether it makes sense for you to TTA or not (insurance questions, etc.). It goes without saying that many ladies get KU without trying (why can’t we ALL be those ladies?!?) and I’m sure some of those women are starting new jobs, etc. without even thinking about it. The way I look at things now, I would rather have a LO and try to figure everything else out instead of figuring things out and then trying again for a LO. I hope that makes sense. Best of luck!!!
@CrystalPDX HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And LOL I am still in my jammies and braless!
@Saralee797 I most certainly am!!
@ladystinson Sorry for CD1.
@Nelbetron Way to go! I need some motivation in my life. And LOL at your Mom liking “Vanilla”
@leilac Sorry you are having a rough TTC day. We’ve all had them. Try to keep your head up, deary!
After seeing all of the activity on the
grad thread, I got kinda sad because it would have been my week to post. Don’t
get me wrong, I couldn’t be happier for those ladies, it just stings a bit more
knowing that it could have been me this week, too.
@motherhubbard19 Happy anniversary!
@laeberge3 So sorry for your loss

So many responses! Thank you all for your input. I’m so grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
My first concern is the maternity leave issue, whether I would have access to leave time if it was within my first year. I don’t recall maternity leave being discussed when the offer was made at any of my other jobs so if it comes to it I’ll have to figure out how to ask about that. My second concern is just whether it would be viewed as dishonest if I took the job and didn’t disclose an early pregnancy until a few weeks into the job. My DH says he’ll support whatever I decide about the job, but he wants to keep trying.
Sorry for the Dear Diary/Word Vomit posts today. I’m all in my head about this.
As a side note, today’s GTKY makes me really curious what everyone’s actual names are.
@CrystalPDX Happy Birthday!
@motherhubbard19 Happy Anniversary! FX AF holds off for you.
@ladystinson Sorry for CD1 **hugs**
@leilac I’m sorry you’re having a tough day. I hope you take some time for yourself and find some peace.
@laeberge3 I’m sorry for your loss. I hope you have a lovely time with your sister and mom this weekend.

Sweet baby boy arrived 7/7/17!
@adirat Thanks for all of the info!
Hmm...
@leilac and @laeberge3 hugs to you both.
