WAYDTGKU: waiting for AF to leave, which should be in the next day or so
R/R: My mom's friend was over her house last night and I went to visit, it was so nice seeing her again! (she and my mom have been friends over 50 years!!) Also, it's Thursday and that means yoga day at work!
CS/Q: I have seen some of you use RRLT, B6 and CoQ10; what is each of these for and during what part of your cycle do you use them? (feel free to add anything else as well)
GTKU: I do feel like my name fits me. My initials with my maiden name were L.L. and my name would flow off of the tongue nicely.

I finally got my CH for CD 16 (even though I dont agree and the research mode shows a different o day), it is what it is, so hope to see you in TWW soon!
I don't feel very connected to my name - my closest colleague has the same name and its much less weird than I thought. In third grade I tried to change my name to Jewel/ Julie. Before the singer, btw lol
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'
WAYDTGKU: pnv, temping, will start opk, checking cm/cp, preseed, and HIO EOD this weekend
R/R: AF seems to be heading out soon, so that's good. I'm working from home today because there are too many distractions at work and I have to get this stuff done.
CS/Q: nadda
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I don't know that my name really fits me, but I wouldn't change it now. My mom told me that she wanted to name me Josie, which I think I like better than my real name, but my dad won that contest.
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
R/R: Today is my Friday since I have off tomorrow! (Although I work Saturday and Sunday, so...theres that, but still, Friday!)
CS/Q: none
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
When I was younger I didn't love my name (Alexandra, nn Alex), because it seemed too adult. Now that I am an adult, I love my name and it fits my personality exactly.
WAYDTGKU: temping, opks, pnvs, omega3s, checking cm
R/R: It's Friday! I know, not really, but I have off tomorrow for our little get away weekend so I'm treating it as one. Also, we have an accepted offer on our house (the one we're selling, we already moved), so now we just have to hope everything goes smoothly and we will officially be done!
CS/Q: Not so much as confusion. I think I o'd on 10/11, but it's hard to say given that all of my temps are high this month, and that would be "early" for me. My body does like to keep me on my toes though, so it's entirely possible. Today's temp might be artificially high because I woke up in the early am again. I want to throw this chart out the window, but my Dr specifically asked for them soooooo.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
Ha, no. Probably because my parents gave me the name I was supposed to have if I was a boy. They pretty much decided to say screw it. Then again, my sister has the name I was supposed to have and that doesn't really fit either. I don't think I'd change my name at this point because it would just be too difficult and I honestly have no idea what I'd change it to.
@lulu1180 RRL tea is supposedly good for reproductive health in general and is supposed to help tone your uterus for childbirth, so a lot of people will drink it during the 3rd tri. The theory for ttc is that the toning properties make your uterus a more hospitable place for a fertilized egg. I have no idea about the b6 and CoQ10, but now I'm curious as well!
R/R: Today is my day "alone" in the office. We are closed for patients, but i stay and answer phones/do insurance work. Its a nice break from my normal surgical duties. PLUS, pandora radio + bumping.
CS/Q: not too much at the current moment.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I think it fits. I recently have taken DH last name, and "replaced" my middle name with my Maiden name..literally last week. so it hasnt really sunk in yet.
R/R: I played around with temps on FF yesterday and if I had a high temp today and tomorrow I would have O'd on CD14 (early for me). Of course my temp dipped a bit today but is right around the CL so we'll see what my temp does tomorrow.
CS/Q: Cramping around O. I've never really paid that much attention to my cramping throughout my cycle. But of course, being on here gives me a heightened awareness of things my body is doing. I should be Oing soon, if not already. I noticed last night and the night prior while HIO that I was super crampy (last night was stronger than the prior night). Like radiating pains through my pelvic area at times. I had cramps prior to HIO last night on my left side. Would you think these are cramps from O or something else? If so, is it common to be so crampy while HIO?
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? The only issue I've ever had with my name is that it has "R's" in it (both first and last) and I had speech therapy to help with saying my "R's" so I sounded ridiculous for many years. Even now, I feel like my first name isn't pronounced as well as I should. But to answer you're actual question, no, I wouldn't change it.

GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I love my name. It's quite popular. There were 4 of us with the same name all through public school. Always same class since it wasn't a very big school. But I still wouldn't change it. I find it fits me very well.
R/R: We are having some work done on our
fence on Saturday, but apparently the materials have to be delivered today. And
they can’t be put in our backyard because the forklift can’t fit through the
gate, so they have to sit in the middle of our driveway. Until Saturday. Grrr.
CS/Q: None
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If
you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
I think it fits me. As a little kid I always wished I was
named after a flower (Rose, Lily, etc.), but I’ve come to appreciate my name.
@zwink1 Congrats on the house offer! We’re trying to get our
house ready to sell right now.
R/R: I applied to a job back in July kind of on a whim. I first talked to this
company at a Career Fair back in college and thought it sounded like a cool
place to work. About a year ago we bought a house 15 minutes away from their HQ
so I’d periodically check their job listings just out of curiosity. This job
posting basically read: “Swimsister, this job is for you. It matches your
current skill set with where you want to go in your career”. So I applied and
didn’t hear anything for two months, I figured I was out. Then they called for
a phone interview and I did that. Yesterday they called to schedule an in
person interview. I am feeling deeply conflicted about interviewing for a new
job and TTC. I want to know if I can get this job, I think I’d be great at it.
However, if this is our cycle I could be starting a new job 6-8 weeks pregnant.
If this isn’t our cycle and I get the job should we TTA for a few months until I
get settled? What would you do?
CS/Q:
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If
you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
I love my first name. It’s familiar, but uncommon.
@swimsister I would apply for that job. You never know when another chance will open up. I also wouldn't try to avoid if you got the position. Who knows what circumstances will be with your new coworkers, it could be an amazing new support system!
WAYDTGKU: waiting for af to leave, pnv, cm/cp, eod
R/R: It's raining and dreary outside.
CS/Q:
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
I like my name and I think it fits me. I was named after my grandmothers, so it has sentimental value. When I was a kid my name wasn't very popular, and I was the only one with my name in my whole school. Then my name got super popular. So their are a lot of girls with mine name, they're just way younger than me. It's funny how the popularity of names cycle.
@swimsister I'm in the middle of working on a career change and plan to be applying for new jobs in the next few months, which means I might be applying when I'm already pregnant. I have no qualms about it, but you would want to check your maternity leave benefits if you switch jobs. Sometimes they don't kick in until you've been working there for a certain amount of time.
Month/Cycle: 14/15
CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, CP, BD ED/EOD
R/R: I got dotted CH from FF today, but I really don't believe them, so I'll still be sticking around here for a while. Plus I get to keep forcing H to have sex
CS/Q: This morning my temp was exactly the same as yesterday, so I re-temped to see if my thermometer was favoring temps. The first temp was 98.07 and the second was 98.25, but the second time I had the thermometer on the other side of my mouth (which I don't normally do). Can that make that much of a difference? I then temped again on the original side and got 98.09, which is what I put in my chart.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? My name definitely doesn't fit me and I never liked it when I was younger. It's a very preppy, cheerleader-y name and that it soooo not me. It actually almost prevented me from getting a job once because a preppy, cheerleader-type is not what they were looking for. Luckily, they took a chance and interviewed me. So, yes, I would consider changing it, but I'm not sure what to and I don't think it would stick. I tried going by my middle name in high school and it didn't work.
@CrystalPDX My employer started offering it at the beginning of the year, it's during lunch time and a small fee ($5) but I found how much I enjoy it and how much it really does help to relieve some stress. Also, happy birthday! Sorry AF is ruining it, perhaps the birthday sex can be postponed until the weekend...?

WAYDTGKU: AF is gone, so now I get back to HIO EOD, temping (I usually stop during AF), and checking CM and CP. I am thinking about trying Preseed and green tea this month, too.
R/R: I had my annual physical yesterday and spoke to my doctor about taking my ADHD meds during the TWW. She told me that since implantation doesn't happen until 6-12 DPO she isn't adamantly opposed to me taking Concerta **when absolutely needed** the first week after ovulation. She also said that if I eventually get a BFP, we can try out (far less effective) category B ADHD meds for the first tri and then reintroduce really low doses of non-XR Concerta or Adderall during the second and third trimesters. However, she continued by saying that she is more concerned by my weight and the possible issues that it may cause while TTC (and down the road if I get pregnant). Ugh, I know I need to lose weight. I have My Fitness Pal on my phone and my mom was a Weight Watchers leader. I just need to suck it up, start eating healthier, and actually try to exercise. Well, on the bright side, at least I now have the option of taking my meds during part of the TWW so I can manage my ADHD and job. The TWW during the past few cycles have been really rough and my ability to focus and get work done has been challenging to say the least.
CS/Q: No thanks.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I. Hate. My. Name. Think 1980s and 1990s romance novelists and you can figure it out (my mom really loved her books). I never felt like my name fit me. If I could change my first name, I probably wouldn't because I've lived with it so long (and it would break my mom's heart). However, I would have loved to be named Camila or Lucia.
@MommytoM13 I wish I swapped out my middle name with my maiden name. It would have made sense professionally (I started my scholarly career as Lboalboh Christina MaidenName, but am now Lboalboh Christina MarriedName, so I feel like much of my pre-married work is disconnected from my current research and publications, which bugs me). My mom threw a fit when I told her that I wanted to swap out my middle name- she insisted that "Chris-" names are a family tradition and replacing it with my father's last name would disrupt such an honored part of our family's past (btw, this tradition started with her!) I caved, kept my middle name, and dropped the maiden name.
@swinsister my opinion is don't let TTC "get in the way" of a job you think you'll love. If you'll be happier at that company and job, that'll be better for your family. Plus, I'm sure they've dealt with this situation before. When we were TTGP the first time around, my job was sending me overseas for a lot of work and I felt a lot of guilt that I knew I could be leaving in as little as 9 months.
@lboalboh my mom said "if i knew you were going to get rid of your middle name, i would have given it to your sister!" she was just kidding, though. I kept my maiden name because DS has had my last name since birth and i did not want him to feel left out when DH and I eventually have our own children.
@MommytoM13 That sounds like a nice break for the day!
@swimsister I would proceed with the job. If it's an awesome place, like it sounds, they will understand when the time comes. Women who work have babies sometimes! If you're in it for the long haul, they should understand and support you. There is no guarantee exactly when you will be pg anyway, so I'd go for it. Good luck

WAYDTGKU: PNV, getting ready to start AOTT soon.
R/R: I am going to murder this video popup ad on here.
CS/Q: Nope. Waiting on more OPKs.. this is the uneventful part.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I think it fits me now. I wanted to change it when I was a kid, but it was the 80s and I thought my name should be Tiffany of course. My mom also considered Rhiannon and Victoria. I think I ended up with the best option though.
Im back from vacation! Ive missed you all this past week, but I took a much needed break from thinking about ttc and just simply enjoyed family time in Kansas! Im super pumped to be back.

CS/Q: nope, but @lulu1180 im really interested to see what others answer for your question. Ive been wondering the same thing.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I think it does now, but when I was a kid I really wished I had a more common name. My name can also take on a few different forms with just a couple letters added, so I was always called the wrong name and hated it. My mom picked my name because of her favorite author/book character/tv show, and I never got into it. I wouldn't change it now, I like it, but when I was a kid, I really hated it.

RR: Inwas up for 3 hours in the middle of the night with my son, I don't know what's going on with him but I'm sure hoping we move past this phase quickly, it's draining. I have terrible cramps and AF is heavy and crazy. I'm usually super light but this is my first period post loss so I don't think my body knows wtf is up.
CS/Q: I got nothing, I'm not going to start temping until probably Monday, AF should be wrapping up by then, and I'm hoping to get as much sleep in as possible over the weekend. I'm deprived and looking the part.
GTKY: As a kid I always wanted to change my name. I never would now but I do think my middle name is prettier. My name isn't not common which is nice.

R/R: I had a pretty significant temp drop this morning and it's making me BSC because DH didnt want to BD last night and I feel like now we're in a race against the clock. Of course the drop could have meant absolutely nothing and I'm just BSC for no reason at all. Ugh. Tonight starts Fear Fest on AMC, when they show all the old Halloween and Friday the 13th movies, from now until Halloween. I don't really get into the holiday but I do really like watching the old movies.
CS/Q: nah...
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I love my first name, I think it fits me very well. It's not very unique but I feel like it fits my personality. I'm still getting used to the way it sounds with my "new" last name though. It doesn't quite flow off the tongue easily but I don't really mind.
@swimsister I think someone mentioned this already, but I would check their maternity leave policy before deciding to TTA; I know at my job you have to be an employee for 1 year before you can be approved for the maternity leave they offer.
@lulu1180 I love yoga and I WISH we had something like that here...I hate sitting down all day!
R/R: I booked an appointment with my doctor to talk about the fact that I don't think the Metformin is helping me ovulate at all. I booked this appointment at the beginning of September for the end of this month on a Friday afternoon so that I had the afternoon off and a couple extra cycles of data to show her. Her office called this morning to tell me they cancelled my appointment and couldn't rebook until maybe the second week of December at the earliest.
CS/Q:
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I generally like my name but it's a speshul spelling that no one has ever spelled correctly so I wouldn't mind a normal spelling name. When I was 4 I would only answer to the name Amy. My name is 100% not Amy and has no way for Amy to be a nickname.
@swimsister I say go for the job. I kind of feel the same as you but because we are TTC and wanting to try moving to a new house next spring. Sometimes I feel like we are crazy for trying to do both around the same time. FX that your interview goes well! @zwink1 Congrats on the house offer! FX all goes smoothly!
@lulu1180 I second your question about B6 and CoQ10
@bumpybump I sometimes feel crampy while HIO, especially in the middle of an O. I could be could be totally wrong but doesn't that also cause the muscles in your uterus to contract too? Again, I might be way off. But you are not alone.
R/R: DH and I are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary this weekend and taking an overnight trip to Chattanooga. On the downside I am thinking AF might show up and ruin the whole "Romantic Getaway" vibe...
CS/Q: I plan on starting to chart next cycle... but my life has been so hectic lately we will see what happens.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
When I was younger I didn't feel like it fit me. But now I feel like it is perfect for me. I used to want to go by my middle name instead. I thought it was prettier.
WAYDTGKU: Just vitamins and meds for now. Won't start OPKs until next week sometime. ETA: I take PNV, CoQ10 and B6 plus RRLT and Green Tea in WTO. Green Tea for CM and I have found that it does help with CM production. I like Tazo decaf lotus blossom green
R/R: It is Friday Eve and was so nice to have off yesterday (even if I did spend part of it getting an HSG). Thanks for all your support yesterday! I think I am still riding that high today.
Oh and I went to BJs Wholesale Club yesterday - so you know they have a $2 off coupon for Nature Made vitamins and carry PNVs and CoQ10 (which is really expensive).
CS/Q: No but I think the meds are really stabilizing my temps since last cycle's TWW and it is really interesting to me. I can't think of anything else to attribute this change to.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I think it fits me. Apparently, my grandmother hated it until she saw me... or so the story goes.
@lulu1180 CoQ10 is for egg and sperm health but also heart health. You can take this all the way through your cycle. B6 has been used to help lengthen LPs. RRLT is for uterine health and I drink it in WTO but not after O because it can cause contractions so I tend to be safe and stop after O. @BertieMeetsGertie I love working from home. Hope you are lounging in your PJs all day! @osucma FX for you! @zwink1 That is so exciting you accepted the offer! Hope it goes smoothly!! @bumpybump I usually get sharper pains around O on one side or the other depending on the month but I think cramping is also normal. @oxCherryBlossomxo Glad you are feeling better! @swimsister I understand your concern. I also interviewed for a job where I would be working for my BFF a couple months ago. They went on a hiring freeze/downsize mission immediately after. She tells me that I am still going to be offered the position it is just a matter of when. I had to much anxiety about it knowing were are TTC but guess what? neither has happened yet. My H pointed out that I would be there 6-9 months most likely before having to go out on leave and in bigger companies it is nbd. I would take the interview and see how things shake out. If they want you, it won't matter if you have to go out for a month, two or three in the first year. Plus, you never know how long either will take! I also agree with @britters314 about the benefits and maybe look into getting some short term disability in case you don't qualify for benefits at the new job. @CrystalPDX Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a wonderful day (deadline and all).
WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPK, PNV, CoQ10, B complex, magnesium, Preseed and EOD BD soon
R/R: I was asked to be a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. I still have reservations about them getting married, and so does she. We talked about it before they got engaged, and they have now set a date. I will forever hold my peace unless she brings it up. Being 33 stinks because women stay with men they shouldn't due to their biological clock ticking. We all know how it ends every.damn.time.
CS/Q: nope
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
My first name and maiden name went very well together and were even a close rhyme, but I hated my middle name. I made my maiden name into my middle name when I got married and I think it was the right idea. My friends all call me by my maiden name instead of my first name anyway!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
WAYDTGKU: I didnt start last cycle until over halfway through, but I'm being better about temping. still doing vitamins, HIO EOD/ED, still working on healthier weight for me and DH (needs to happen for me either way) etc etc etc
R/R: nope, too blah to care, dh is in court today, hopefully we'll know more later and our lives can start settling down...
CS/Q: nothing to stalk yet. I want to stalk last month because the days that I did temp were so rocky (up and down then up then down then up then down... ugh) it almost seemed annovulatory to me, but i didnt temp the whole month so no way to know for sure
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I do think it fits me, my full first is very professional and mature sounding, the shortened/nickname that applies to my first is fun and welcoming and if you pair it with my middle name it's just "country" or "southern" enough to be perfect (confusing? lol I want to share but are we actually sharing?) I would not change it
Angel Babies 1&2 2/14/09 DS born 3/11 Angel Baby 3 6/28/11 9/5/17 BFP!! divorced October 2014 9/6/17 hCG 88 progesterone 9.1 (prometrium started) Married DH 10/15 DH's DS born 6/09 9/8/17 hCG 242!!! @lboalboh I have seen some of my students off meds and it is really hard for them to do much, so I feel for you. Also, it's never too late to change your name. You don't have to tell your mother either. @CrystalPDX Happy birthday! @zwink1 Good luck with closing. To you and @lulu1180 CoQ10 is good for a lot, including egg quality.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@swimsister as PPs have said: I would go for it. If it's a job you really want! I, personally, would also TTC unless I would not get benefits before my birth and money would be an issue. Above all make the decision that is best for you! @crystalPDX happy birthday!

CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: PNV, HIO ED/EOD, OPKs
R/R: Today is my Friday since I have off tomorrow! (Although I work Saturday and Sunday, so...theres that, but still, Friday!)
CS/Q: none
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
When I was younger I didn't love my name (Alexandra, nn Alex), because it seemed too adult. Now that I am an adult, I love my name and it fits my personality exactly.
CD: 23
CD: 11
WAYDTGKU: BD EOD+FW, PNV, temping & charting
R/R: Today is my day "alone" in the office. We are closed for patients, but i stay and answer phones/do insurance work. Its a nice break from my normal surgical duties. PLUS, pandora radio + bumping.
CS/Q: not too much at the current moment.
GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what? I think it fits. I recently have taken DH last name, and "replaced" my middle name with my Maiden name..literally last week. so it hasnt really sunk in yet.
CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, OPKs, temping, CM, charting, HIO

There were 4 of us with the same name all through public school. Always same class since it wasn't a very big school. But I still wouldn't change it. I find it fits me very well.

GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
I think it fits me. As a little kid I always wished I was named after a flower (Rose, Lily, etc.), but I’ve come to appreciate my name.
@zwink1 Congrats on the house offer! We’re trying to get our house ready to sell right now.

R/R: I applied to a job back in July kind of on a whim. I first talked to this company at a Career Fair back in college and thought it sounded like a cool place to work. About a year ago we bought a house 15 minutes away from their HQ so I’d periodically check their job listings just out of curiosity. This job posting basically read: “Swimsister, this job is for you. It matches your current skill set with where you want to go in your career”. So I applied and didn’t hear anything for two months, I figured I was out. Then they called for a phone interview and I did that. Yesterday they called to schedule an in person interview. I am feeling deeply conflicted about interviewing for a new job and TTC. I want to know if I can get this job, I think I’d be great at it. However, if this is our cycle I could be starting a new job 6-8 weeks pregnant. If this isn’t our cycle and I get the job should we TTA for a few months until I get settled? What would you do?

GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?
I like my name and I think it fits me. I was named after my grandmothers, so it has sentimental value. When I was a kid my name wasn't very popular, and I was the only one with my name in my whole school. Then my name got super popular. So their are a lot of girls with mine name, they're just way younger than me. It's funny how the popularity of names cycle.

@mylove071407 I love old names too!
@CrystalPDX happy birthday!

@swimsister I would proceed with the job. If it's an awesome place, like it sounds, they will understand when the time comes. Women who work have babies sometimes!

WAYDTGKU: All the things + Metformin
R/R: I booked an appointment with my doctor to talk about the fact that I don't think the Metformin is helping me ovulate at all. I booked this appointment at the beginning of September for the end of this month on a Friday afternoon so that I had the afternoon off and a couple extra cycles of data to show her. Her office called this morning to tell me they cancelled my appointment and couldn't rebook until maybe the second week of December at the earliest.

@zwink1 Congrats on the house offer! FX all goes smoothly!
@lulu1180 I second your question about B6 and CoQ10
@bumpybump I sometimes feel crampy while HIO, especially in the middle of an O. I could be could be totally wrong but doesn't that also cause the muscles in your uterus to contract too? Again, I might be way off. But you are not alone.
@CrystalPDX Happy birthday!

GTKU: Do you feel like your name fits you? If you could change your first name, would you? If so, to what?

@osucma FX for you!

My first name and maiden name went very well together and were even a close rhyme, but I hated my middle name. I made my maiden name into my middle name when I got married and I think it was the right idea. My friends all call me by my maiden name instead of my first name anyway!
