@kristoB and @Sugargirl1019 I knew I liked you two... Charlotte's Web, a Secret Garden, and A Little Princess were staples in my childhood. Whenever we had dip or spread of some sort in a glass bowl, I always wanted to just dip my finger in it like in a Secret Garden (probably an overlooked moment of the movie for most haha) but I never did because it was usually at grandma's house that it was in a glass dish haha. Also, A Little Princess made me bawl every time...

Testing: I told myself Friday. I tested this morning. and this afternoon. jokes on me. (obviously, judging from my dpo..)
R/R: I am exhausted. I am on the verge of an emotional and/or mental breakdown. I can feel it coming like a ticking time bomb.
CS/Q: nope.
GTKY: What is your favorite childhood book? Other than the ones above, I looooved the Dear Canada series. Orphan At My Door was my favourite one, but I loved almost all of them.

@wabash15 - Fx for your testing tomorrow!! I'll be watching to see what you post Sorry DS is getting HF&M! Why have I pretty much never heard of this, but all of a sudden in the last year and a half I keep hearing it come up!? @GeorgiaWife6912 - I just know that with my levels I probably wouldn't see a BFP yet. I am seriously SO hopeful. And it's even worse, because at the beginning of the month I told DH "This is our month!" and was all positive about it, so I've been extra hopeful and now SS is making it worse. And yeah, I have chicka chicka boom boom memorized too. When my bro/SIL/nephew visited, they forgot to bring any kids books to read nephew at bed time (everywhere else they go, grandparents/siblings have books for them) and I may have had a copy of that. @kiki75 and @LuND- thanks! I'm getting really excited to test! I hope it's good news!
@KristoB of course I've seen the movie! A bazillion times @Buthayna Hugs and fx for you. Btw, I would have loved reading parties. I always was reading. @furbabymom2007 yay look at all of us over here partying together!

@LuND I've had a lot of people with addiction issues in my life. Really sorry to hear what you're going through. Like @wabash15 I had a (somewhat functioning) alcoholic stepmother and it was really rough. She eventually got scared into sobriety because of medical stuff and isn't married to my dad anymore, but while it was going on it was rough. I hope your mom finds her path to recovery, whatever that may be.
@adirat Oh man, good luck with the moving. As someone who has moved many states away 4 times plus a couple other moves for me/H's school I know how crazy it can be and couldn't imagine doing it KU. It gets harder and harder to meet people too, especially when you're not in school and also don't yet have kids. I hope you like where you're going and get KU first safely in the desired range so as to avoid giving birth on top of a pile of boxes!
So late to the game! Probably no one will see this. I barely caught the
dramatic drive-by’s between work stuff and didn’t have time to post. But hey,
lots of activity in the grad thread too so that was nice to see at least!
Month/Cycle: 6/5
CD/DPO: 22/7
Timing: EOD
Testing: Practicing restraint
for now (not too hard at 7DPO). Whether it will last through next week is another story entirely, but
I’m hoping it does.
R/R: Rant: I had to rearrange flights for MH and I
for next month, and as soon as we picked a pathway home I accidently refreshed
the page and Southwest raised the price of the new flights --in the 5 minutes
between-- 100 dollars a ticket! Why, Southwest, why?! It wouldn’t be that big a
deal, but all the traveling costs are adding up and it’s becoming overwhelming.
At least we’re staying home for Christmas… I’d take cooking over traveling any
day.
GTKY: There was a vampire rabbit book series called "Bunnicula" I was really into. Also loved Wrinkle in Time. There are more. Was/am kind of on the nerdy side I guess.
@vflux33 Thanks. It's hard because we don't know where we'll be moving yet so we have to assume the worst (meaning the furthest) and avoid for a longer period of time accordingly. My husband has a lot of hope for this last cycle before we have to TTA, but I don't.
I hate it when you see flight prices jump like that! It's just insulting. You couldn't grandfather me in since I have the webpage open? UGH.
@adirat Well I hope this is your cycle--that would be easiest. Especially since benching would probably add extra stress. Moving for school is a crazy experience. The knowing you're going *somewhere* months before knowing where, then only getting a few weeks to decide between places, then having so little time to get to the place and find a rental, etc. And depending on where you are going it isn't a lot of time for finding a good place in the right neighborhood. We lived in San Francisco for a few years for my grad/professional school and finding a place was a complete disaster. We broke a lease because MH was allergic to the building (I'm not kidding) and ended up living in the grossest neighborhood ever and paying WAY, WAY too much money. And to top it all off MH ended up being the only person on the planet who hates San Francisco and never found the right job there until we left. It was crazy. If I had been KU during that I'm sure I would've been thrilled and everything, but I also would have completely lost my mind.
Hi ladies. Still on night shift which is why I've been MIA. That being said I'm feeling TTC needy and I have a few free min at work so I'm here checking in late.
@lund - i'm so sorry to hear about your mom's accident. my dad is high-functioning alcoholic too... it is so damaging to themselves and everyone around them. so glad she is okay and no one else was injured. hope your gyn appt went well
And that's all the comments I could get through- back to work!!
Month/Cycle: 6/6
CD/DPO: 23/10
Timing: -4, -1, O
Testing: BFN yesterday.
R/R: just feeling needy today. took a test yesterday since this is our last cycle before TTA and because why not and of course it was negative. I did some SUPER tweaking on my phone and managed to create something and then I got mad at myself for trying so hard. I bought a new pack of Wondfos at the beginning of the cycle and they're burning a hole in my bathroom cabinet. I'm traveling this weekend for work and will probably bring a few just so I don't get stuck purchasing some expensive test for from the drug store. So I will be packing both HPTs and tampons this weekend In raves - the grad thread was wonderful today!!
CS/Q: very boring here. i will be able to temp 12-14 dpo... i should just not even try but I won't be able to help myself so I will be able to watch the nice temp drop

@vflux33 I share your husband's lack of enthusiasm about San Francisco (didn't realize it was such an unpopular opinion lol). We have an office there and it's fine but I like many other areas of California more, plus like you pointed out, it is insanely expensive for crappy apartments. Of course, Berkeley is one of the possible institutions on his postdoc list! But yes, a thorough +1 to everything you said -- it's going to be a drag. I appreciate that you understand!
@sevenn Oh no! I have really been hoping this would be your cycle. At least it's only 10dpo and you could have a late implantation situation going on. FX and sorry this has been such a tough TTC day for you This bunny hopes you feel better.
@adirat Yeah it's very expensive and kind of an intense place to live. Most people have an idealistic vision of it because of tourism (and Full House haha), but living there is a whole different thing. I enjoyed it while we were there, but I'd never ever move back--even if we had the money. Berkeley is nice, but getting more on the expensive side too. A lot of my friends who moved to East Bay to get away from San Francisco prices ended up getting priced out there. Not a terrible place to land by any means, but not cheap. We ended up an hour or 2 north, for now at least, which also isn't cheap, but we like it up here better. I hope your H gets great news soon and that you guys find whatever place is right for both of you!
@LuND Thanks for your kind words. The Tw comment made me smile when I was pretty blue. Sorry to hear about your mom. My dad is a non-functioning alcoholic who retired a few years ago basically to drink more without having to be accountable to anyone ever. I get the combination of frustration and guilt. I hope your dad was able to get her (and that your appointments went well!)
@BaileyM321 thanks! I'm keeping my fx for you that this is the last roller coaster.
