So major rookie mistake and I am 100% confident my own DS is going to out me. We wanted to tell DS that we were having another baby (he really wants another sibling) and now he keeps randomly repeating like a parrot "mommy has baby in belly!". Please please please don't let him say that at daycare or in front of friends. Lesson learned. Don't tell a 2 1/2 year old anything ever under any circumstance. What the hell were we thinking!
We opted to tell my parents the other days as we are visiting them this coming weekend. I was just afraid they would notice I wasn't drinking since their house is practically a liquor store. I said "So we're letting you know very early, but we just were worried about trying to hiding it.". My mother then bursts out "Oh yeah well I would have guessed it this weekend when you're not drinking!" Thanks mom for a) confirming my assumption and b) insinuating I drink that much that I can't get away with a day and a half visit sans alcohol.
I was just talking to a coworker about Halloween and she mentioned something about her son and I used the word "he" when I referred to my daugther and she gave me this look and said are you not telling me something? Are you pregnant? And another coworker chimes in "who's pregnant". I flat out lied and said no way and laughed and my coworkers shared a look. I obviously don't even know what we are having so it wasn't like I was referring to baby but I feel like they know. Maybe I looked flustered? I feel flustered. I also feel horrible for lying.
So my brother is in town and I am having dinner with him...he will call me out on the no drinking. I figure I'll just beat him to it and avoid the awkwardness and tell him, and that I don't really want anyone to know yet.
