How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: Almost 9 weeks
What are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: I have an almost 11 month old daughter (on the 10th) who keeps me busy! But I still think about my appointment every single day! haha
BFP on Sept 26. Due June 6. First ultrasound end of October, around 8 weeks. This is my second pregnancy so I knew to expect the wait, but the first time it totally shocked me and the wait was awful! This time around I'm busy with a toddler so I imagine this wait and the whole pregnancy will go by much faster.
How many weeks/days are you currently: 4w6d - pretty positive I'm not that far and will be adjusted once we do the first measure.
First ultrasound date: None yet-just trying to make it through my beta tests. I will probably set one up by the end of my 2nd round and have actual numbers in hand.
How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: Not sure just yet.
What are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: My 5 year old and all of his social happenings and POAS every morning to watch a nice line come up.
How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: 7w+4d
What are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: I go to school, work and am the single mommy to a little lady that will be 3 in November. So, needless to say I'm pretty busy.
I've had symptoms since the 24 or 25th of September. We have been going one day at a time.
How many weeks/days are you currently: Either 4w3d or 3w6d, not sure if I am supposed to use LMP or IUI date.
First ultrasound date: 10/20
How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: somewhere in teh 6 week mark.
What are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: Trying to keep my mind occupied on school and my family. There is slight increase of multiples with IUI, and I am super nervous about it. It would be hard to handle emotionally and financially, so ready to see ONE healthy baby in a couple of weeks. I just keep telling myself that things turn out the way they are supposed to.

@kahlan82 Was your IUI timed based off a trigger shot? If so, I would go by your O date, which is also IUI date, to get the most accurate EDD! LMP is only an accurate measure if you have a perfect 28 day cycle, but often this is the only measure people can go by if you don't know exactly when you ovulated. Since you did an IUI, my guess is you know exactly when you ovulated!

@wifeinraleigh28 Thanks, I used a trigger shot, so I was thinking the IUI date too but then my fertility doctor scheduled my first u/s based on my LMP. I guess I should have asked but they scheduled it about 10 seconds after they confirmed I was pregnant, so I wasn't thinking straight lol.
So that means I will be 6w5d at my u/s which has me nervous, will there or won't there be a heartbeat? It could go either way. eek

@kahlan82 Most of the time you will see a heartbeat at 6 weeks, but don't freak if you don't! Sometimes it takes until 7 weeks. I wish I could go at 6 weeks but my RE's standard practice is 7 weeks and they won't let me come in any sooner!

Posting again because my OB moved up my ultrasound date:
BFP date: 9/27 at 10dpo
How many weeks/days are you currently: 4w6d
First ultrasound date: 10/19
How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: 6w5d
I was told to come in earlier due to my quickly rising betas and previous loss. I'm a little freaked out because I know it's on the early side, but I'm also hopeful because we are going to visit my parents that day and I would love to surprise them with a healthy ultrasound photo. Fingers crossed all goes well!
First ultrasound date: 11/7 (could be earlier based on early betas)
How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: About 8.5 weeks
What
are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: I have no idea! Once the initial shock/excitement wears off, I'm sure I'll fall in to my work to pass the time. Luckily we also have a lot of October weekend plans to help pass the time.
First ultrasound: Unsure...possibly have to do another blood draw. Apparently because I'm breastfeeding, they do an early dating ultrasound- not something I had to do with my first, obviously, so they want to test my levels first. It's kind of making me stress more than if I just had to wait.
Woo hoo! Ultrasound scheduled for 10/17! I'll be 7w1d. We go on vacation the week before so hopefully that keeps my mind off things although I'm dying to see that HB.
Just got my ultrasound scheduled for Halloween! I'll be 8 weeks by then. I'm currently around 4 weeks 3 days and my first bfp (big faint positive lol) was on Oct 1.
I'm finding that a lot of you ladies have to wait much longer than me for first ultrasound! I guess some OBs won't see you before 8-10 weeks ish? I guess I feel thankful that my RE does ultrasounds at 7 weeks, even though it seems a lot of them will do one at 6 weeks. Only a week and a half left for me...

How many weeks/days will you be at first ultrasound: 7+6 (and it's only that early because I ovulate late - based on LMP I'd be 8+3 on that day. They usually want you to be at least 8w before you come in)
What are you doing to cope with the wait/pass the time/distract yourself: I'll pee on a stick once a week just for peace of mind. I just try to focus on DD and work and trying to sleep enough at night. I keep telling myself that everything is fine until it isn't, and unless I have substantial bleeding before then everything is likely to be fine when I get there. Also, I remind myself that these are (hopefully) the last 9 months that DD will be an only child, so I want to fully enjoy this time with her, especially now when I'm unaffected by the physical effects of pregnancy, which will be present soon enough.

Mine is early too because I had fertility treatments. My first pregnancy had an early u/s for the same reason. That might be the reason you get to go in early too. Maybe that's the trade off, stressful fertility treatments but we get to see our bean a few weeks earlier.

@kahlan82 I guess that's a definite perk of working with an RE. Though most of my IF friends get to go at 6 weeks for ultrasound! Mine seems to have a strict 7 week policy.

My OB definitely has a 8 week policy, unless there's a reason to be seen prior. Unfortunately I've had bleeding issues with each pregnancy that required an earlier than 8 week appointment. I'm totally content waiting.
Is it normal that as of right now I have no appt for an ultrasound?
Yes. It's normal practice here. My first appointment isn't an u/s. It's just labs and basically enrolling into their system. My next appointment will be an u/s.

Thank you the info ladies. When I was pregnant with DS the beginning was, well a bit hairy, and I had multiple ultrasounds. As this pregnancy seems very different I haven't seen an ob yet and won't until 11/3

My schedule of appointments seems to have changed at my obs office with each pregnancy. I have a "confirmation" appointment this Thursday, and then I think I will have an ultrasound for dating in the next couple of weeks and something they call ACOG appt, where they basically just ask a ton of questions about your history. I can't remember which appt comes first, but to be honest, ultrasound and heartbeat isn't going to be that reassuring to me. I won't feel out of the woods until 2nd Tri.
