I have my first one MONDAY!! I will be 12 weeks. I can't wait, I'm having a really hard time excepting I'm pregnant with #5 and I'm hoping seeing and hearing the baby will help with this. My school work is really taking a hit from my brain being so frazzled! I'm also looking forward to meeting my new midwife.
I have an appointment this afternoon (11w2d) and even though I've already had 2 ultrasounds (5w5d and 7w4d), my PGAL brain is running rampant! I'm so nervous for this appointment. Do the nerves ever go away?!
We had the NT scan today. Baby girl would not participate at all in terms of getting all of the measurements but the tech was able to see enough to feel confident there were no concerns. I was just happy to get to see the wiggling little girl and hear her heartbeat. Always so re-assuring!
I will have my 16 week check up . Just simple weight, listen to heartbeat kind a deal. I want to ask the doc how far my uterus has moved up since I don't feel any difference. Not feeling movements yet, kind of makes me a little sad.
NT scan tomorrow afternoon! Doing the cell free dna testing as well!
@KirstinH88 ,so far no . It gets better right after each ultrasound but it comes back after a day or so.

@HarryPotterandCats Everything changes after experiencing a loss. My first pregnancy with DS was so fun and exciting. This one makes me a ball of nerves!
@KirstinH88 I have my 12 week appointment today too. I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and saw the heartbeat, but am still nervous (PGAL also). Hoping to feel better after my appointment.
eta: had my appointment and it went well. It took the nurse a while to find the heartbeat, so I was a little worried for a minute!
I have my first official appointment Tuesday at 1pm!! I will be 12w3days Its just a nurse's visit to get all my stuff together and then I'll schedule with an OB for probably later in the week or next week. So excited!!!
Hey guys, can someone do a Monday Ticker change for me? Sorry, dumb place to post this, but the mobile app won't let me create a new thread! And I'm at work and all of the computers are in use! Please, and thank you!

Appt went well! Baby is measuring a day ahead. Jumping and moving like crazy. Didn't get amazing pictures this time though. They were pretty blurry. I need to go in tmrw to have blood drawn and do a one hour preliminary glucose test since my dad has diabetes. Anybody else having to do a preliminary glucose test due to a family member having diabetes?
First appointment went good. I miss the birthing center atmosphere, going to have to get use to cold feeling doctors offices again. We heard a faint heart beat so we know there's a baby in there. Still trying to convince myself that. We have an ultra sound next week, can't wait to see it! Also had a bunch of blood drawn. Midwife is nice but soft spoken.
I had an appointment today at 14w1d. Heard the heartbeat on the doppler, which was great! I've also apparently lost the 10lbs I'd gained (thank you, bloat) when I weighed in for my first appointment. Thumbs up there. They had to redo all my blood work for the NIPT as there wasn't enough of the baby's DNA in my blood when they first took the samples, so that was fun. I don't go back for another 5 weeks, when I'll have a checkup and the anatomy ultrasound. I can't believe I'm out of the first trimester now. Where has the time gone?!
Had my monthly checkup today, and finally heard the HB on doppler (baby was hiding last time, so I wound up with a bonus US to check on stuff)!! Everything looks good so far, which is such a relief now that I am out of the first tri. OB's preliminary guess is that this one is a girl...we'll find out soon enough!
@mylittleirvz I thought that was strange. Ugh...I'm dreading having to do this test twice this pregnancy. I almost threw up with DS because the drink is waaaay sugary/syrupy. Hopefully I don't develop GD that way I don't have to do the 3 hour test or have to test my blood regularly at home.
@KirstinH88 , my OB mentioned doing it earlier because type 1 is im my family but not this early. I know I have read on other BMBs that some ladies have had it done super early because of it running in their families. Every OB is different I guess. Good luck!

@KirstinH88@HarryPotterandCats@mylittleirvz My brother is Type I diabetic and my OB didn't seem overly concerned when I brought it up at first appt. She said my chance was slightly higher but not high enough to merit testing earlier than normal...
@schef070911, yeah, I mentioned it to her at an early apt with DS along with the fact that my brother has Down's Syndrome and she wasn't concerned about either one.
@KirstinH88, I am already dreading the normal glucose test so I feel bad you have to have an extra! I felt like a wreck after mine last time and still had to work so I decided this time I am taking the afternoon off afterwards!
Well, I woke up late today. My phone keeps trying to update to iOS10 and for some reason it fails. But every time it does that, it turns my alarms off. So I'll try again for the blood testing and glucose test tmrw. So odd that my doctor is having me do a preliminary test because of family history, but no one else is... I don't like that!
Just had mine today. Had trouble finding a HB, and got an extra ultrasound like @SnarkasaurusRex. For a split second I had that doubt in my mind. Longest 45 seconds ever. But ultrasound revealed that the bean's back was to us and the placenta was partly blocking. So happy the bean's looking good in there.
Edit: I am very high risk. I'm actually more upset than I thought I would be. Bright side, I'll get to see baby every month, then weekly in the last trimester.
I had my NT scan today. Baby had their back to us the whole time (which was great for the neck measurements, not great for finding out sex!). So we're still a mystery on what we're having, but we know the baby is HEALTHY and that's great Measuring 4 days ahead (although that doesn't mean much) and a heartrate of 163 bpm.
Had our NT scan today. Babe looked fabulous and was moving around like crazy. I may or may not have eaten a bunch of nerds before our appt in hopes he/she would be more active. We did the panorama genetic testing and will find out the results next Tuesday or Wednesday. We opted to find out the sex so we will find out that too! Next Friday is DHs birthday so this is a great surprise for him!

We had a lapse in our insurance coverage bc DH switched jobs right after we found out about surprise pregnancy #5, so this Thursday is my first appointment since we paid out of pocket for a pregnancy confirmation around 7 weeks. I'm 16 weeks and not showing, not having any symptoms, and not feeling the baby yet so I'm finding myself very very anxious. Fingers crossed that everything checks out fine and this baby is just giving his mommy a break! I'm getting all the first trimester bloodwork, a pelvic exam, 1 hour OB consult, and probably an U/S so it's a doozy of an appointment!
I have my appt. Today. It was supposed to be last week, at 12 weeks but because of the hurricane it got canceled. I'm doing my one hour glucose test today because I had gd last pregnancy. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to it.
@Limie I have do my 1 hr glucose test next monday since I had GD with DS. I'm absolutely dreading it! Here's to hoping I at least don't have GD until like 26 weeks when they normally test. So far I've been randomly checking my sugars and they've been fine but who knows with that drink!
@Limie how in the world did I not even think about holiday treats. Now I'm really super hoping it doesn't come back that I have it again - although being honest... I probably do
Had an appointment today! Super quick heartbeat check and question time. HB was 145 and doc said everything feels as it should. No more appts until my anatomy scan around 20 weeks!
@Taylor72 yes - thanks so much for following up! I did have my appointment and it wasn't quite what I expected (no ultrasound), but I did hear the heartbeat. Very relieved! I guess I'll stop looking a gift horse in the mouth and try to enjoy the fact that I'm still fitting in my normal clothes and not having a ton of unpleasant symptoms!
Just had my NT scan yesterday. It was reassuring to see the baby move and hear the heartbeat again. DH was so cute, he was in shock by how much the baby was moving and kept asking me if I felt it. Wish I knew all the results now but we go in the 25th and hopefully we will have only good news about the blood test and NT scan. She did tell me my clot is still there, so not sure what to think about that.
