  • Damien loves to kick, I mean reeeaaaly kick. He will spend ages just kicking at the couch or on his play mat. Well he has no discovered his feet! He just started looking at them, moving them slowly, as if he is trying to figure them out. He also is trying to reach for them. So cute!

  • I threw a brunch today in honor of a friend who is having her second baby. I got my house super clean, my food turned out awesome, and it went great! I'm kind of proud of myself for pulling it all together at a super busy time.
It was also really fun to have a dozen friends over to visit and just talk for two hours without kids (well, wxcept for my baby). I can't remember the last time I did something like that

  • DH finally say Cole roll over :). Twice!
  • I woke up a minute ago, looked at the monitor, and realized Damien wasn't in his crib. Apparently my husband decided to take initiative and at the first sign of him waking, got him up and fed him so that I could keep sleeping. Yay!!  :D
Aw, my DH did that too. Except I woke up to them not in the house. I guess he took hi. For a tour of the yard. Lol
  • Tristan slept from 9 to 4!!!  He was restless at 2 but went right back to sleep.  It was pretty great because mommy still has this killer cold and needs all the sleep she can get.
  • I made macarons while my husband and boys went camping this weekend and Charlotte was amazing! She didn't cry while I had the mixer going on high speed and I even had time to make 2 different filings!
Making macaroons is an accomplishment even without a baby around!

  • Knock on wood, but it's been almost a week and no binky!  We've been trying to eliminate it so fingers crossed it sticks!  Thankfully he prefers his fingers (although he never loved the binky).

Damien prefers his fingers but I find he can't fall asleep if he is sucking on them.

Same here. He lives sucking his thumb but can't connect the dots in terms of going to sleep.  But we have been able to have him fall asleep without the binky most times.
  • Since we put him in his crib awake for naps and bedtime he sucks his fingers and falls asleep.  It's super noisy on the monitor at night -- but usually only lasts a minute or two before he falls asleep.
  • I took advantage of Ethan's nap times yesterday and starting setting up our Halloween decorations!  Woohoo. The neighbor's are probably wondering why since it's not October. But hey, gotta get an early start wen you have a baby otherwise they'll never get up!  Ugh sorry for the glare!
  • I had an awful night between Savannah and my dogs.. DH took her at 8:30 for me and let me sleep until I woke up at 11:30! Then once I got up she had a huge poopy diaper and DH changed her and gave her a bath without me even asking.

He is seriously the best thing since sliced bread right now :p

  • LO is transitioned to his crib, which was a lofty goal for us before I head back to work on Monday. Only took 1 crappy night of wake ups to get us there. I actually think everyone is sleeping better since LO is a nosy sleeper
  • I didn't want to go to my workout class last night and my hubby was like "you're losing motivation. You need to go!"  I was like "uuugh ok fine. But if I go then you're on baby duty ALL NIGHT LONG". And he said ok!!!!  I almost died during the workout (we had to do 100 burpees, 100 crunches etc), but I got Glorious sleep last night.

Yeah. It fucking sucked!  Haha. I did 20 at a time and then rested until I got to 100. I was DYING. I'm feeling it today. Lol.
  • I got myself organized enough that I have 2 full days worth of milk to bring away this weekend! Savannah will be with me part of the time, DH part of the time and my parents part of the time so I needed a lot of milk.

I'm feeling surprisingly optimistic that we will make it out of this weekend still EBF even though I will have to do some pumping and dumping at the wedding Saturday!

  • I've got another one- Savannah slept 7.5 hours straight last night!!! This may be the longest stretch she has ever done and it came at the perfect time after an exhausting 3 weeks!

Now time to pump and head up to Cape Cod for my best friends wedding weekend! :)

    Awesome!  Have a great time!
  • Yesterday, we survived our cross country flights- 15 total hours of travel, as our second flight was delayed nearly three hours. LO did so awesome, no crying fits on the plane, lots of compliments from other passengers! And, my breastmilk stayed frozen in my Fridge-to-go!!!!
  • This is pretty ummm ridiculous but I'm super excited...When Sons of Anarchy ended, they auctioned off a bunch of stuff and I ended up bidding on (and winning) on an outfit worn by Tara Knowles. I know, crazy stupid purchase. Everything fit except the jeans. I have a big thighs and quite the large butt so I wasn't expecting them to fit. Fast forward to today, I decided to try them on for kicks and they friggin' fit!! No idea how it happened but I'm stoked.

    I loved SoA!

My friend swears your butt falls off when you have a baby. I know mine is pretty flat, despite all the weighted squats to pick stuff off the floor with a baby in arms.

My friends kept saying to expect mine to get bigger but the opposite happened so I'm inclined to believe your friend! Even my husband remarked that it was smaller. Crazy!
  • This will sound totally normal to most of you probably, but at my house it's just short of a miracle.

tonight I went to a meeting at my son's school, and when I got home dh had gotten all the kids to bed! That means he got them out of the bath, dressed, fed a snack, brushed teeth, baby bottle fed, and all three asleep. And he didn't complain!

Dh is notoriously bad at doing bedtime, and the last time I had a night meeting DS was still up and DD was asleep on the sofa still dressed when I got home after 9pm. I'm so happy!
    Woohoo! You deserved that!!

  • Damien started to roll from his back to his belly while at my MiL's house. Now if I could just get him to work on his tummy to back rolling, that would be great.

Just handed in the keys to our apartment, we've officially moved into a house! It's filled with boxes right now, I keep telling myself to take it one day at a time with unpacking and setting up our new home.

Right now I'm just grateful that LO was agreeable to us both taking an afternoon nap, yay! Moving is so exhausting to begin with and with an infant it's a whole new level of time consuming and exhausting!
    Congrats on the new house!!
  • @Lizbeth86 Congrats! We're still unpacking our house and we moved in a month ago. All the little house projects I thought would be one day projects take closer to ten. Everything takes longer with a baby (and I'm just less motivated and lack will power to do things)
