@kmyers228 Agreed! No competition, I definitely miss the belly tray, but in my humble opinion having that wee baby sleeping where my beverages used to be is also pretty amazing
In light of the hurricane barreling towards the east coast, anyone else feel like stocking up in preparation for baby feels like stocking up for a storm? I'm at work thinking about how I should buy cereal at the grocery store. I don't even generally eat cereal, but I feel like I need a stash NOW.

Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
This prob belongs on a BF thread... but it's not Monday, Tues, or Wed, so there's no way I could spin it for those... so here it is, random... y'all.... I've been training a new program manager to take over for me for maternity leave. He's been doing relatively well so far but today, I set up an hour for us to spend together for him to execute the report pulling that I showed him how to do, on multiple occasions ... so that he could see it executed correctly more than just once. That one hour meeting just took THREE HOURS because his notes were SO HORRIBLE! Seriously dude... I hardly know what you meant when looking at your notes... how do you expect to be able to execute this sh*t if I can't even tell what you were meaning?! I basically had to tell him how to re-write his notes so they made freakin sense and he could pull those reports when I'm not here. UGH... I. Can't. Even.
Just annoyed with everyone today. But...I found $5 in the parking lot at work so used it to buy my baby a sweet little bow & hat at a consignment shop on my lunch break.
This is might make me sound crazy, but when I was in college my mom used to send me random cards with $5 or $10 in them and they always seemed to come when I wasn't having the greatest day. So I'm gonna choose to believe that $5 was a gift from my mom to my little girl. Total of hat & bow came to $4.79 ☺️

@ibabyloveb87 It's freaking AWESOME. I love it so much. The ONLY thing I would change is it only counts Oz and not mL, so I have to do my own conversations (whaaaa). BUT I'll take it
@annabenanna... Yeah. we have several other PM's in office that he can reach out to and I have reiterated on SEVERAL occasions that, if he doesn't know, reach out to those people... But after seeing those notes and watching him struggle so much with easy stuff (like, every row has column A filled in on this spreadsheet, but in the new row you're adding, you don't even realize that it's a problem that you're leaving column A blank...) I'm not sure if he has the wherewithal to reach out to someone. I'm worried he's just not going to realize there's an issue at all.
Which will suck when I come back bc I'll have to clean up 3 months worth of mess.

@annabenanna He is doing well, he has been on phenobarbital, hasn't had anymore episodes, and has an appointment with a neurologist on the 27th to see if he can wean off of his meds or not. Other than that he's a normal, healthy, happy baby and we finally got to go home yesterday!

also, your phone background makes me think of a convo DH and I had over the weekend.... His screen saver on his phone is a pic of the divot his golf ball made and the hole next to it where he got his first hole in one. He had his phone up and showed it to me, then said "pretty soon, that'll be a picture of Ella!" Which sounds like nothing... But DH loves golf and is damn proud of that hole in one... Plus, he doesn't get noticeably excited about much, so for him to show excitement enough to put our baby on his screen saver... Swoon
We get to bring Baby home tomorrow!!!! He'll officially be two weeks old, and he'll get to see the outside world for the first time! H and I have to spend the night in the NICU tonight before they'll discharge him, so happy vibes are appreciated that everything goes well!
I used to try and eat healthy the week of my OB appointments, but I'm officially off the wagon. DS requested oreos at the store. What's a girl to do? (I'll tell you what: pour some milk and inhale 5 of them immediately without regard to the scale tomorrow).
