I just realized I forgot to do the checkin this week.
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): Benched until Nov/Dec. I made an RE appointment with the RPL specialist. It's not until Nov. 15th. Apparently this RE is already booking through December! Because of a cancellation, though, they were able to offer me this spot in November. It sucks that REs are *this* busy because it means so many women are having problems TTC.
3. Rants/raves: We're going away on a long weekend with friends. We leave Friday, and we're going to drink lots of wine and eat yummy food, and let our dogs tire each other out! It's also H and my anniversary this weekend, so that's something to look forward to. Six years married, but 14 total together. We're getting old!
4. GTKY: Let's talk hobbies. What do you like to do to pass the time? Hang out with friends and drink wine or beer? Is that a hobby? Beyond that, taking care of our puppy keeps me pretty busy these days.
@RiverSong15 So excited for you to be able to see the RPL specialist. I know I am still not KU, but his guidance through the process has made us feel so much better about even trying again at all.
Also, your hobby is my hobby. Getting together and drinking... That's what we do.
Me: 40, DH: 35 / Married: 2009; TTC #1: 2013
2013 - 2015: 5 pregnancies —> 5 miscarriages
TTCAL with RE (RPL specialist): February 2016
2016: 3 medicated TI cycles —> 3 medicated IUI cycles: All BFN
@fivetimesnoluck Thanks! I think even if we decide to try naturally one more time before treatments, I'll feel better if I can at least have a consult with an expert. I just have so many small questions, like her opinion on whether aspirin will hurt or help, and I'd like to talk over some test results that my OB deemed "not a problem". I think I'll trust the RE's opinion more as an expert in RPL. I also want to make sure we've done all the testing we should have done.
And yes to "that's what we do". We've already gone out with friends twice this week to our favorite spot. Lol.
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): TWW. At my husband's urging, I'm taking it a little easy this cycle. This is our last cycle before EDD, so I'm just trying to enjoy life and not worry so much, since I know I will probably be pretty upset about it next month.
3. Rants/raves: We're having a vinyl tile floor installed in our new house's basement, and it's been nothing but nightmares. Originally my hubs and I were going to buy the tiles and install it ourselves, but my parents offered to pay for the installation as a housewarming gift. It's being contracted through Home Depot, and it's such a pain. First, my husband took off all day for an estimator to come between 10-12. He showed up at 4:45pm. Then it took them three tries to properly charge my father's credit card, which resulted in a freeze on the card for suspected fraudulent activity. He had to take care of THAT, then he finally had to go into the store and resolve the payment problem. Today we received a call about our installation, so I phoned back to the extension they provided me. They had no clue what I was talking about and transferred me three times, put me on hold for 15 minutes, then had to call me back. And it was just to schedule drop off of materials. I finally got a call from the contractor himself (that of course I missed at work!) and will have to call back. I'm exhausted and we haven't even begun the installation. Good thing it's a relatively small area. My cat will be pissed though, he hides out in the basement. He's gonna be so scared when they start work.
4. GTKY: Let's talk hobbies. What do you like to do to pass the time? I am the next coming of Martha Stewart lol. I love to cook, bake, and craft - I make jewelry, knit, crochet, draw and paint occasionally, and I worked a custom picture-framer for a while. The only thing I do NOT do is SEW. I have a machine, just feel too intimidated to turn it on and try it out!
Photo evidence of one of my hobbies! Fresh out of the oven gluten free, apple cider donuts. Tossed in cinnamon and sugar...this definitely doesn't on the healthy living check in *one broke so I HAD to eat the other half
3. Rants/raves: Just been so depressed lately. It's been really tough on me, my marriage, my life. I'm doing everything in my power to stay positive.
4. GTKY: Let's talk hobbies. What do you like to do to pass the time? Gym, although my doctor doesn't want me doing much of that right now due to history of miscarriages and incompetent cervix. Reading. Writing. Instagram. Pinterest. Church activities. Spending time with my hubby and my kids.
Eek...I brought them to game night last night and they're all gone. BUT if anyone ever wanted to i'd be happy to make treats and mail them to people I know giving out your address to a stranger might be weird so maybe not but there was a group on the Infertility board that picked partners and exchanged care packages. I thought it was super cute
DH - 34, Me - 32 Married 7/13 TTC #1 since 10/13 BFP 2/4/15, MC twin boys at 18w3d 5/15 IUI #1 2/25/16
@e2thb I used Home Depot recently for carpet installation and had the same problem with my credit card. They send TWO test charges before the actual charge, so by the time my card got the third charge, they shut it down. We also had issues with our appointment being ignored, estimates and actual quotes being drastically different, etc but in the end it worked out - they installed the carpet SUPER fast and did a great job. So the actual workers themselves are good, it's the processing side that sucks!
@SoonToBeMommaHowe I will try them, maybe this weekend. SD likes to help in the kitchen, so we may have to try these. The care packages are a great idea. If there is interest from others, I am game. What a great thing to receive when struggling with IF/loss or hopefully for all of us, pregnancy.

@Riversong15 - Happy anniversary - hope you and DH have a fun weekend. I've only seen my RE once so far but just that made me feel so much better. I think she just too it more seriously than regular OB.
Welcome @sparrowmomma24 as I has been said previously this is great group! How nice of you to crochet for the NICU like that!
@E2theB- jealous of your Martha Stewat skills - that's awesome!
@CTRMommyof4 _ I am so sorry you have been feeling down lately. This process can be so difficult with so many different emotions. I hope you will be kind to yourself and that things start looking up soon!
Thank you @TScalei! I love to crochet anyway, so it's just a great way to honor my DD. If anyone else in the group is a crafter, I'd love to start up a craft group to share patterns and projects. Especially for donations in our angel's names!

@fivetimesnoluck - I am really hoping so, but I'm now on day 4 of the slightest spotting. My temp is officially below coverline as of this AM. So where is AF?!?! I'm definitely growing irritated that AF hasn't shown up...I'm just wishing I could blame that irritability on PMS! LOL! Come on AF! Where are you?!
