WAYDTGKU: Waiting, waiting... waiting for AF to go
R/R: just chugging along today, and i managed to put down the donuts from CD1. I have a call into my doctor, to see what is up with all the spotting. Normally, they don't see people until they have 6 unsuccessful months of TTC, but last month i reached out because of the extensive spotting I had been experiencing before AF(6 days pre-AF). They asked me to call back or follow up if it happened again the following cycle. Of course it did and now I am waiting to hear from a nurse who is waiting for confirmation from the doctor, but it is likely they will want to see me. I have no idea what any of this means, but I was just reaching out like a good doobie to advise that something seemed out of my normal... we will see

GTKY: What was your most memorable Halloween costume? I don't particularly care for dressing up. So I think the most interesting was in law school a group of us went as playboy bunnies and one of our guy friends was Hugh Hefner. Not creative by any stretch, but we had an awesome time.
@CallMeMrsChaos do I know you in real life?? Have I complained to you before? That is my exact life. DS is 2.5 and I can count on one hand the number of times he's slept through the night. He also wakes up screaming and has night terrors sometimes. So last night was much needed!
@callmemrschaos hopefully your doc can get you in to figgure out the spotting. DS was a terrible sleeper and we were zombies. "The no cry sleep solution" changed our lives. I would highly recommend it to your freind. It saved DH's sanity.

@BrambleRose Thank you for that story because it's been a rough few days, and picturing a little girl dressed as a battery rolling helplessly down a hill is making me laugh. Maybe I'm a bad person, but I can't help it!
@vflux33 I had someone refuse me candy when I was that age, too! I never thought about it, but it might have been the same reason. Is there some unwritten rule that once you get boobs you're too old to trick-or-treat?
R/R: Sooo tired today!! I'm off site again at a major university and playing the waiting game with one of my patients. I so badly want to sleep in the car. Also, seeing all these DVM students walking around makes me think I still might go to vet school one day so I guess that dream isn't dead!
CS/Q: Nada. Didn't wake up to temp today bc who effing cares on CD 2! And it was glorious
GTKY: What was your most memorable Halloween costume? I painted my face a lot as a kid and mastered tiger face-painting. It was my go-to many years running. I also make a super troopers costume based on the character Rabbit for my brother which was pretty accurate. He was joking with friends yelling at them to "get out of the car" and passers-by thought he was a real cop!
@britters314 I guess so-- WTF! Because being the 1st person in your friend group to get AF isn't already awkward enough... Glad to hear I'm not the only person that ever happened to.
@hartmich I'm glad it could make you laugh! I know I'm probably building it up in memory but it was a pretty steep hill, too, we're not talking about a twist or two and it's over. @GeorgiaWife6912's gif is actually a pretty good approximation of the whole thing!

@CallMeMrsChaosI am interested to know what your doctor says about the spotting. I asked my doctor about it at my annual appointment last week and she told me it was normal? The past 2-3 cycles I started spotting 3-4 days before AF actually shows. She told me to count it as my period since it is heavy enough to need a panty liner but not a tampon. Not sure if I really agree with that statement....
@shstephenson I will keep you posted. I still have not heard back from the nurse. I am sure it is normal for some people but I have never experienced it before so thought I would check it out. (your normal until your not... i know) but apparently they seemed concerned enough to have me check back each month.
@shstephenson and @CallMeMrsChaos I get 2 days of brown spotting before AF most cycles, and my doctor told me that this is a symptom of my low progesterone (I had bloodwork done because my luteal phase is so short). My sense from reading on TB is that spotting is normal for some people and abnormal for others, so it may be nothing or it may be worth asking for a progesterone check. My doctor suggested counting brown spotting as spotting but bright red spotting as AF, which is not the same advice others have gotten, so I think you should count your AF days vs. spotting however you feel most comfortable. I hope you can get to the bottom of the spotting, or it goes away (even better!).

@adirat I remember you saying that about low progesterone so I asked my doctor about that specifically. I guess since my LPs have been 13-14 days she wasn't worried about that?
@shstephenson I'm not sure but my guess is if you have sufficient LP you wouldn't have low progesterone (since if you have low progesterone you wouldn't last that long). I only know about spotting associated with low progesterone since it's my situation... Sorry I can't be more helpful.

it seems like good news on the tests.
