How big is baby? A tater tot...which I desperately wanted for lunch today but ran late getting some blood work done and didn't have time to stop.
Upcoming appointments this week? Just a blood draw today to check on my blood thinner dosage.
Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new--just more of the same: mild nausea, mood swings/lack of patience, exhausted, bloated.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I wish I could live in comfy pajamas all day every day. The midday bloat is making my work life (mostly at a desk) very uncomfortable. On a related note, does anyone have any super comfy PJ/lounge pant recommendations? I'm in the market to add to my collection...
GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most?? Wine. And scotch or bourbon based cocktails...I miss them all very much, especially at the end of a long day.

Upcoming appointments this week? Next week finally! Had to call and try to change it because DH was going to go to a cabin in Canada with my father, but they couldn't move the appointment to something he could go to. He is so bummed. No Canada for him.
Any new symptoms or changes? Yesterday I felt like exhausted garbage. Today is a bit better. On top of dry heaving, intense exhaustion, and super bloat I am battling some kind of cold and have a throat that feels like fire.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My mom just texted to inform me that my cat peed in my laundry hamper. She was nice enough to stop by and make sure he wasn't locked in a closet (which he was). She was also super awesome and took the pee clothes home with her to wash. So... my mom is awesome and my cat sucks.
@Kipperoo sweat pants sound awesome right now!
GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most?? Miller Light or other alcoholic water type beers. There are still 5 in the fridge that stare at my every evening because DH bought me a 6-pack the night before we found out and he is a craft beer sorta guy so there they will sit.

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope...still two weeks away from my first appointment.
Any new symptoms or changes? The mild nausea I had been having for the past week seems to have gone away over the past two days, so I'm trying not to read too much into that (emphasis on "trying"
Rants/Raves/Questions? We get to go see one of my best friends this weekend to finally see her new twin girls! I seriously don't think H has ever held a baby, so it will be exciting to see. We're still not really telling anyone about ours yet, but we will tell them since we don't often see them in person. It will also be nice to talk to someone who has just been through it all...and if I end up feeling sick again, I don't want her to think that I came to visit her kiddos with a stomach bug!
GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most?? Not really missing anything. I just wish I liked food! I will probably start missing seasonal beers (pumpkin spice, etc.) soon enough.

New symptoms? No... pretty much same old, same old at this point. Seasick, bloated, sore boobs, thirsty. Trying to practice patience...
@Kipperoo I don't have any recommendations about jammies b/c mine are super old and worn in and too comfortable to trade up, LOL. But actually, I did get a nice Vera Wang set from Kohl's last year that's extremely soft that I just remembered. Must be with the rest of my winter clothes. Time to shop online?
GTKY: (@Louise_Belcher Tell your hubbs to take one for the team! That temptation should NOT be staring you in the face like that!) I miss cider the most. Hard cider. (Well, regular now too if it's not pasteurized, right?!) Last weekend = football + no cider and I was sad, LOL.
Comfy pants: gap's maternity leggings! They sit low so no need for a panel! I LIVE in them at home. Cat pee: no bueno and yes, your mom IS awesome!

GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most??
I don't drink typical adult beverages, but living in the Deep South I love me some sweet tea. I still drink SOME, but I try to rein it in so we won't both be hopped up on caffeine.
ETA: @Louise_Belcher - I was trying to get out of the house today and was looking for my baseball cap (because who has time to wash their hair?!) and it's a good thing I had gone back because our cat was trapped in our bedroom. CLOSE CALL!

Upcoming appointments this week? we have our first ultrasound this week on friday! i dont know who is more excited, me or my hubby.
Any new symptoms or changes? i would say just getting up more frequently through the night and the constant hunger. im kind of shocked that i haven't experienced nausea yer. with DS i couldnt keep anything down. and I cry at the drop of a hat at just about everything.
Rants/Raves/Questions? i just started a new job and i absolutely hate it. so my question is have any of you experienced looking for a new job while pregnant during a previous pregnancy, or will be doing so through this one? Me and DH have talked about the possibility of me staying home with DS and this baby once this baby is born. But obviously we want to grow our nest egg for that a little more before then. Please don't attack me...just curious if anyone has experienced it...

My next appointment is Monday and I should get another sonogram. I just want everything to be okay.

Upcoming appointments this week? None this week, but I have my 12 week-ish appt next Friday
Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea has been hit or miss, although a little bit worse in the morning but more manageable throughout the day/evening. Still exhausted with loads of acne. Bloating has become more apparent this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We told my in-laws this weekend and they were so thrilled! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better response. My family will find out this weekend - I would have told them this weekend too but wanted to be able to tell them in person.
GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most?? I don't drink too much, although I like a good rum & coke now and then. Other than that, I really miss tea and coffee but the thought, and the smell, of coffee currently makes me nauseated.

Any new symptoms or changes? So much nausea. Alternating with a huge appetite. I often can't tell if I'm hungry or not.

I sent a message to my doctor's office asking whether I should arrive with a full bladder at next week's appointment- I was assuming they'd be doing a dating ultrasound, since I'm not sure of my dates. It's the same practice, and I got an 8 week dating ultrasound with my last pregnancy even though I knew my dates exactly! Apparently I will not be getting an ultrasound next week, but will "schedule one soon." I am so anxious to see a heartbeat, and also don't want to have to take another half day off work! Annoyed.

I had a MMC at 8 weeks my last pregnancy that was not found until 12 weeks. I am cautiously joining in over here after a good appointment yesterday at 9 weeks.

Upcoming appointments this week? Had one yesterday, got to see the LO and even saw him/her move a little bit and a great heartbeat! Next appointment is in 3 weeks.
Any new symptoms or changes? Nope, symptoms actually getting less, except for the fatigue that is still strong.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Had some scheduling difficulties with my NT scan in three weeks but think it is all figured out now!

@emilyalso The cat trapped struggle is real! At least once a week one of our cats gets themselves trapped in a closet. Or better yet the baby's room after he goes to sleep. Ugh!
@SKZW You are right! He needs to make it disappear. But probably not in front of me, because it will make me envious and grouchy.

Any new symptoms or changes? I am more tired, I've had to force myself to do things around the house, because I'm so lazzzyyy.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I don't know how many of you deal with people and their offensive questions/opinions. For example, a cousin said, " I don't think you're supposed to pee so often until you're more pregnant." She went on to say that pregnancy symptoms don't "happen" until you're actually showing. Then, my SO was like well I guess you know a lot with your medical degree and what not. haha

Upcoming appointments this week? My first appointment is a week from yesterday (Oct 11).
Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea has hit me like a brick wall since about Saturday. I feel so sick but I have not thrown up yet. Teaching has been a nightmare since I feel sick and every smell makes it worse. I just keep telling myself that the symptoms are a good sign.
Rants/Raves/Questions? How have you all managed to hide nausea from family/people at meals? I cannot handle the smell or look of most foods (I am surviving off toast, peanut butter, oatmeal, etc). We are supposed to go to my in-laws tonight for dinner but are not telling them we are pregnant until end of first tri.
GTKY: What adult beverage are you missing the most?? Coffee is what I miss most. I need it, but even thinking about coffee is making me feel sick.

@waitingforblueskies A ladybug sounds so cute. I love knowing the size of baby as baby progresses.
Have your tried anything to ease some of the nausea? I personally don't have any nausea, but I have heard that ginger ale works wonders.

That's a great question, how to hide nausea/food-aversions/making faces because I-really-can't-stand-the-smell-of-that from family and friends. I'm in the same boat. My parents are visiting for a week soon and there's no way I can keep a poker face all week when it comes to food. Especially when they see me nibbling throughout the day and not eating bigger meals. I too wanted to wait until 12-13 weeks-ish to tell them but think it'll have to be sooner, since it's not really my thing to act like a suffer-in-silence type. For one meal, you might be able to fake it, saying you have a stomach bug, or (if not wanting to sound contagious) that you ate something for lunch that's disagreeing with you. Definitely have a chat with your SO before the meal, though, so you have back-up if needed, about the story, and to have a plan in case you do end up telling, so you can do it together. Good luck!
