2)Starting to get nauseous if I don't eat after 2 hours. Pee like crazy lol. Very thirsty!
3)This Friday will be my 7wk1day US, hope that HB continues to go higher and baby is bigger.
4)Love our groups on here and again I thank you all for being so kind and giving me hope.

*****Trigger Warning, Loss and Pregnancy Mentioned*****

Married my best friend in 2013 (I was 33), After 1.5yrs of TTC got my first BFP naturally on 2/7/15 but ended in DNC on 4/14/15, not viable. In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus... Needing an RE was a must.....IUI#1 Sept 2015,,, BFN IUI#2 Oct 2015,,,BFN IUI#3 Dec 2015,,BFN IVF#1 2/1/16- BFN IVF# on 3/29/16 retrieval only - 1 healthy chromosome tested embryo. IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo. FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! EDD 5/25/2017 Had a healthy baby girl via CSection on 5/18/17 8lbs 15oz. Then four months later got pregnant naturally and had a healthy baby boy on 6/13/18 7lbs 6oz (at age 38). Needless to say, anything is possible! I'm keeping my signature open so it gives someone out there hope that anything is possible. Message me if you ever have any questions or just need someone to talk to. DON'T GIVE UP!

  • @LSatturo126 Sorry, I'm west coast, so I get up at like 10 east coast time. No one else wanted to take the board. If you'd like to take it starting next week, please feel free! It would be my last week anyway, so someone would need to do it starting the following week. (Also, before I started it didn't get posted until after 10am my time!)

    1. How far along are you and what is your EDD?
I am 12 weeks 2 days today, but my EDD is 3/10/17

    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Hunger and sore breasts/nipples. I am so ready to cut my nipples off as they have been so aggravated this past week!

    3. When is your next appointment?
Ugh, 10/11! It seems so far away!

    4. Anything else you'd like to share?
If you haven't tried strawberry or blueberry eggos, I highly suggest it! I eat them plain, and they are so dang good!

QOTW: How has your infertility journey and being newly pregnant affected your day to day activities?
I used to be an avid runner, before infertility and IVF struck. I did manage to run through our IUIs, but once IVF started I had to completely give it up. Before this cycle I was also being really good about walking at least 30 minutes, 5-6 days a week, but then once I did the transfer and had my bedrest, I stopped and haven't started again.

  • @kelrauh I'd say most days I don't change out of my pjs. I too feel like doing any small amount of anything around the house is like running a marathon. Like putting away a load of dishes is enough to wipe me out! I hope Friday goes well for you!! Also, the beta calculating website that I used (and told me correctly "high chance of multiples") has "very high chance of multiples" with your numbers... You should be prepared for 2! It's this site, btw

  • 1. How far along are you and what is your EDD?
Today is 5 weeks, 1 day! EDD is 6/4/17.

    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Occasional cramping and bloating, sore nipples, and headaches. I've felt nauseous a couple of times but nothing major. I know it's still kind of early for a lot of symptoms.

    3. When is your next appointment?
    10/18... feels SO FAR away!!!

    4. Anything else you'd like to share?
@AandDM2014 I clicked on that link and entered in my beta numbers and it said high chance of multiples for me too! Man that would be a trip. We only transferred 1! I'm hoping it's just our one strong little embryo in there! :)

QOTW: How has your infertility journey and being newly pregnant affected your day to day activities?
I am trying to be super cautious about what I eat, but being newly pregnant there is so much I don't know and am not used to yet. Last night my in laws took us to a steakhouse to celebrate our good news, and there was hardly anything on the menu that I felt like I could actually order. It was all steaks (which I refuse to order well done... that's just wrong) or shellfish (which I recently learned is a no no). I ended up ordering chicken at a steakhouse which is something I don't think I have EVER done before! I am also a big sandwich eater, and now that I know that I can't have deli meats it is making lunch time VERY challenging. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have to deal with these challenges, but it has definitely affected my daily life haha.

    FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
    FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
  • @AandDM2014 - thanks for sharing that. My doctor also said that my numbers were quite high. I am as prepared for 2 as I think I can be at this point. If there is 2 it would explain my strong symptoms so early. How many did you transfer?

    • 9/20 - 2nd beta - 762
    • TWINS!!!! EDD 5/28/2017

  • @kelrauh We transferred 3. I was figuring that since they were our worst three (they always thaw the two best, so these were the three least best looking), we'd be lucky to get one, especially since all our other transfers failed... but nope! As it shows in my siggy my numbers went from 976 to 7841 in just 5 days. I actually had to have the nurse repeat the number to me because I could not believe it!

@wifeinraleigh28 Hmm, interesting... I hope it doesn't just say that for everyone... Oh, hmm. I just entered my previous beta numbers where I know it was just one, and it also said very high chance. Strange! I hear you on the eating thing. I'm supposed to do a low carb lifestyle thanks to my PCOS, but yeah that went right out the window! I've been lucky if I have like 1 full serving of veggies and fruit each day. I just can't stomach them yet. Fruit has gotten easier, but veggies are still pretty blah. I've had a few deli meat sandwiches, but only with meat that I'm very confident is okay, and I wouldn't get a sandwich from just anywhere. I think there is a balance that you'll find as the weeks go by.

  • Hi all
    12w6 days here, edd 4/11
biggest symptom is the heightened sense of smell. Someone in my office keeps bringing in lunch that smells lot hot dogs and I have to force myself not to throw up. Also the dreams are crazy. The other night I dreamt I got my nipples pierced, when I woke up I felt them and they hurt so I was convinced i really did it.
Next ob apt is 10/12 and then we have our 3D sonogram on 10/13
qotw: my biggest change is lack of working out. i went from 5-6 days a week to just walking.
  • @ale9687 Your dream just made me bust out laughing! Now THAT would be something!

@AandDM2014 Maybe it has to do with the rate of doubling? Apparently my HCG doubled in 34 hours and had a 168% increase in 48 hours. But I only have the 2 early betas for reference, so who knows. I wonder what the algorithm is based on! Oh and, I would LOVE if I could still eat some deli meats... I'll have to do some research.

  • @wifeinraleigh28 I don't think deli meats are advised because of Listeria, but I would trust a reputable place like Panera, or prepackaged ones that were relatively new. I would not buy from the deli counter, even from a grocery store I trusted. Here is what the American Pregnancy association has to say about it: https://americanpregnancy.org/is-it-safe/deli-meats/

  • Hi all welcome to another week!!
    1. Currently 10 weeks, due May 1st
    2. Had my first experience of crippling back pain, has anyone else experienced this? I woke up all through the night with sharp stabbing pain radiating all over my back..
    3. I have an appointment 12th October to have blood drawn for NIPT, other than that I have no dates for my next u/s etc
    4. I'm still taking anti-nausea mess and still feeling the effects of ms, but instead of all bad days, I do have some days that are better than others, I'm hoping this means I'll grow out of ms once 2nd tri hits.

    QOTW
I think it's mostly affected my meals and I'm just so darn tired all the time. I never used to nap and now I rarely go a day without a nap hehe

@ale9687 I hear you on the smell thing!

@wifeinraleigh28 I also crave ham sometimes!! On a nice fresh sandwich! Hehe

    1. How far along are you and what is your EDD? 6 weeks4days and 5/25/17.(I didn't quite know this, just cheated off LSatturo126  ;-) )
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? - I've usually had insomnia issues, now apparently I fall asleep randomly without even knowing I do.
    3. When is your next appointment? 10/4/2017 - our viability US tomorrow
    4. Anything else you'd like to share?
I've always hated, really HATED Saltines but I seem to like them now which I find bizarre.

QOTW: How has your infertility journey and being newly pregnant affected your day to day activities?
I haven't worked out since my intense cramping and now the fatigue & can't say that's working out well for my anxiety :( I have to figure out a way to get back on schedule!

DH :  36, has Chronic Kidney Disease, on dialysis & is waiting on the transplant list (average wait for B+ is 5 years)

Me:   36, Hypothyroidism, PCOS, BMI 32, need to be done with "child bearing" ASAP so that I can be a Kidney donor (was fun realizing we didn't as much time as we thought :-/ )

    We're TTC#1

    IUI #1 : 5mcg Letrozole (CD 3-7) + Ovidrel Trigger + Had the one follicle = BFN  (March 2014)

IUI #2 : 5mcg Letrozole (CD 3-7) + 150 iu Bravelle on CD9 (after much begging!) + Had the one follicle = BFN (April 2014)

7th May 2014 - changed REs, this one seems to care (we think....)

    IUI #3 : 7mcg Letrozole (CD 3- 7) + 75 iu Bravelle (CD 8-12) + CD12 Scan 5/16 + Had 3 follicles (2 under 15mm) = BFN(May 2014)

    IUI #4 : 7mcg Letrozole (CD 3- 7) + 75 iu Bravelle (CD 8-12) + CD12 Scan 5/16 + Had 1 follicle + DH gave best sample so far = BFN(June 2014)

IVF#1 -  ER Only Cycle Sept-Oct 2014, 17  eggs Retrieved, 14 mature, 10 fertilized, 6 made it to Blast & post PGS  5 were not viable due to chromosomal abnormalities
Not sure where we go from here...

We're parents to two very adorable, bratty, affectionate & goofy Bernese Mountain Dog pups who would very much like a 2 legged baby brother or sister of their own!

  • @teriulbricht Oh my gosh, that back pain sounds horrible! I think if it happens again you should probably contact your OB because that doesn't sounds quite normal. (btw, I just woke up from a lovely 3 hours in bed)

@ddvj79 Narcolepsy? Yikes! Good luck tomorrow!!!!!

AFM - I forgot to mention in my post this morning that I experienced my first pregnancy migraine this morning. Fun times. And I thought it had gone away, but then around 10:45 it was back with a vengeance. I'm hoping that now that I've had a nice long nap in the dark and cool, it'll stay away!

  • @aanddm2014 I haven't had a migraine but I was getting at least 3-4 headaches a week early on. Hopefully this isn't a reaccurance for you!
  • Thanks @wifeinraleigh28 and @ale9687. I've had a few headaches so far, but nothing like this! It was so bad that I got up at like 2am to take two tylenol, and I had nasty tap water so I didn't have to open the fridge! I'm feeling better so far, and I'll probably ice my head again in a bit to be on the safe side. I read that it can be a sign of pre e in the second and third tri, so I definitely plan on mentioning it to my doc when I see him next Tuesday, though if it happens again I will email.

QOTW: I think about this little munchkin first- I drive less aggressively and have toned down my road rage lol, I have backed off my schedule at work and won't do anything that I think could put me at risk, I watch what I eat more than I have ever before and try to limit exposure to as many chemicals as I can...it's awesome that I already feel so willing to make everything about her with no regrets!

  • 1. I am 9 weeks/2 days today
    2. Nausea and fatigue.  I keep telling my husband it feels like I am on chemo again (but this time we're growing something good, instead of killing something bad)
    3.  Just had an appointment today with an US to confirm our dates.  Baby looks like a little alien in one view, and a perfect gummy bear in another.  Unfortunately, he/she moved as they took the gummy bear picture, so he is more of a potato in that one. Next appointment will be on 10/7 with my new OB.  All done at the fertility clinic for this pregnancy!
    4. I'm having a hard time not telling people, but at the same time I'm convinced something will go wrong.  This just seems too good to be true, so we are waiting for the 'catch'.  My husband just found out he's getting a massive pay raise over the next 2 years (over 20%!!), so it feels a bit surreal in my life.  We're going to tell my mom and SIL on Saturday and I am really hoping to somehow get it on video.  They're going to totally freak out.
Me: Age 40  Husband: Age 41
Chemo killed my ovaries (along with a BRCA1 mutation, which causes DOR)
4/30/13 ER just prior to chemo: 8 embryos frozen at 2pn. 2 survived to blasts/1 PGS normal

    4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R
    FET #1  7/13/16  BFN

    Super shocker +HPT 9/19
    Baby Alyce arrived 5/8/17

Went forward with donor eggs from my sister for baby #2
ER 4/24, 5 eggs fertilized/1 survived to blast and was chromosomally normal.

AandDM2014 - Oh no!!! Migraines ?? I was told that's the one thing that gets better for chronic migraine patients during pregnancy... :(  I still haven't got one in the last 2 weeks (which is a record for me in the last 25yrs), I really really hope it eases up for you as well ! Take care...

  • @ddvj79 Yeah, it was a pretty uncomfortable one, especially since I couldn't take anything to help! Luckily it seems that a cold compress and a nap has helped. I haven't felt much pain since I got up, and practically none in the last few hours. I hope that was my first and last experience with one!

  • @AandDM2014 I was commenting yesterday that I hadn't had a headache all pregnancy which was huge for me - at the time I did have a headache but I blamed it on a busy day at work. The back pain is the first I've had to take painkillers since ER! As for an OB I'm kinda stuck in limbo land at the moment, in Australia most people go through the public system as health insurance covering pregnancy is really pricey, so I've kinda graduated from my FS but its not quite time to see the midwives yet. I still have contact with my nurse if required so I will check in if it happens again. I have a feeling it's something to do with me falling over yesterday and the hormone relaxin being in high levels in my body, but I'm just going off Dr Google for that :/
Also, I hope your nap helped with your migraine, sounds awful!

@ddvj79 I am finding my food cravings, or rather aversions quite different to what I normally would eat, however even the thought of a dry cracker has me wanting to vomit!

@PNW12RN nice pay rise! I bet that's comforting knowing there's a baby on the way!

  • @teriulbricht I haven't had back pain, but I have had intense rectal spasms and lightening crotch.

This week, I'm noticing myself getting winded very quickly. I'm in good shape and a healthy weight, but just walking up the stairs in my house leaves me breathing heavy. The nausea has gotten better, but food aversion is still pretty bad. I've also had some pretty gnarly headaches.

I'm ten and one today. Our next appointment is next Wednesday. We are working on getting me new health insurance because I quit my job last June and the insurance runs out at the end of the month. Other than that, things are pretty good!

  • @teriulbricht Oh my. I didn't know it worked like that in Australia. I hope you get to see a midwife soon! And the nap definitely did help. I felt so much better afterwards!

@clt2pwm11 Lol about getting winded easily! That happens to me all the time, and we have 4 floors in our house! This morning DH came down to bed for some snuggles and I was laying on my left side. I literally rolled over onto my back and was breathing hard because it kinda made me winded.

  • Hi All!
    1. How far along are you and what is your EDD?
    9w6d- May 3rd

    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Exhaustion, heartburn, gas/bloating and achy boobs. My boobs have grown over half a cup size already and I was a small D to being with. It's not pleasant.  I'm also craving weird things. Saturday I HAD to have cornflakes and yesterdays I needed veggie lomein. And they tasted like the best meals I've ever eaten. And @al9687  I second the sense of smell. Work has been the hardest on that front.  I have been very fortunate to not experience any MS though.

    3. When is your next appointment?
Oct. 17th. I'll have the MaterniT21 blood draw then.

    4. Anything else you'd like to share?
I'm starting to outgrow some of the worry and moving on to the excitement. Don't get me wrong, I still check for blood every time I wipe and over analyze every twinge but I also find myself doing future planning and being really happy about it!

QOTW: How has your infertility journey and being newly pregnant affected your day to day activities?
I'm definitely less motivated now that I'm pregnant. My weekends used to be jam packed with chores and errands etc. But now I find myself sleeping in, staying in my pjs and being much lazier. I'm also more cautious of what I do, at home and at work that might affect baby.

  • @teriulbricht weeks 10, 11 and 12 I hard horrible tailbone pain. It felt like I needed to crack my bones but I couldn't. I read also it's from the relaxin.

@clt2pwm11 I hear you on getting winded so easily. By the end of this pregnancy I may be sleeping on the first floor!

@halips Glad to hear you haven't had any morning sickness! I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps   Also, I feel you on the looking for blood thing. I know that weeks 4 and 5 can be pretty sensitive weeks for early m/c or c/p so I've been very paranoid every time I go to the bathroom. But the paranoia is slowly slipping away. I'm starting to get a good feeling about the future of my pregnancy, even though it's so early!

  • So, here's my update for today:

I am 6 weeks 5 days & had the viability US today.
The US was entertaining at best with sonographer going ""Look look, there's the baby's heartbeat"
My husband & I going, "What ? Where?"
She went pointing,  "there there", you get the idea.... So, we just took her word for it at the end. :)

Anyways, they said the heart rate was 117bpm and anything  > 100bpm is acceptable.
Then the NP came in started talking about scheduling OB appointments, which had me in a full blown panic attack , which was pleasant...   :|

I have so been in the "one day at a time" mindset with IF that the second she started talking so much about OB, where I was going to deliver and all that...got too overwhelming, you guys understand. So it went down hill from there. I am feeling sane now, so worked up the courage and asked a friend to email a group for OB recommendations in Seattle.

Hope every one else here had a saner day   :D

@AandDM2014 yeah, maybe if I was considered high risk I'd be seeing an OB and seeing them frequently but it would be an out of pocket expense. I'm happy floating along for now. I'm not super anxious as I've had ms since 6wks and after seeing the heartbeat its relaxed me a little.

I also dont think I've welcomed all the new comers.. congratulations I hope it's a happy and healthy pregnancy for all of you.
