@LuND Yeah, the bike share is great! We originally had our own bike, but it was stolen right after we moved to the city. But now we don't have to worry about that anymore lol. (Also, btw, when you tried to tag me you tagged the wrong britters)
@purplg8r oh, no!!! I'm sorry about the Uti. They are the absolute worst. I get them fairly frequently also (although they've seemed to decrease significantly since I got off BC?) and I'm reluctant to take the preventative medication the doctor suggested. It seems since TTC I've been reluctant to take ANY medication. Sorry I don't have any helpful insight, but I'm interested to see if any ladies have any suggestions or answers. Fx your UTI resolves quickly!
@Georgiawife6912 This is going to sound ridiculous but I never battle on Pokemon Go, only catch pokemon, so my level is only like 20. I've never gone into a gym. But I have caught 101 pokemon!
@BrambleRose I'm glad you had a bright spot! No coffee before O rule... that's tough. I've been trying to avoid coffee during TWW but I also am not doing a good job of it. Good luck.
@purplg8r I hope this helps: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23873250 It looks like the jury is still out and you should make a decision for yourself. (Personally I wouldn't take it based on this research, but it isn't for sure, and if you are getting UTIs consistently you may also have trouble getting KU.)
@vflux33 Yay, so glad you are Oing or close to it! I liked your deactivation story -- I actually don't have a FB for a few reasons and hearing my husband describe the kinds of posts he sees this election make me feel so confident in my decision.

R/R: I got unnaturally excited yesterday as I was having a lot more CM than is normal for me at this point in my cycle. Got all hopeful thinking I might actually O at a normal time. Then I remembered I've been taking mucinex for the past few days for a cold... But, now I know the claims are true and it really does help, ha!

GTKY: What is your favorite/most used app on your phone (besides FF)? probably facebook, mostly because I'm a judgmental lurker...
Thank you ladies for all of the love and support...you're truly the silver lining on what's not been the greatest of days.
@GeorgiaWife6912 Yay for the positive OPK! I know how frustrating long cycles can be.
@JulesDP The pop-ups are the worst...and to top it off they're very delayed on my laptop here at work and screw everything up.
@WillRunForWine21 We are planning a February Disney trip as well I find the My Disney Experience app to be really frustrating though...no problem on desktop but the app never seems to want to link to our reservations. Boo. GL at your doctor appointment!
@laurad75 I hope you didn't miss your surge...I'm sure that's a bummer. One of the reasons we've postponed our IUI is scheduling because I know if mine isn't wide open I'll be constantly stressed about missing our window/not getting the right appointment times. I have my FX for you to get good news from the nurse today.
@shstephenson I think you should count what you feel comfortable with. We started trying in January (2015) but I didn't get my butt in gear and start temping until March of that year...and then during that first year I went through crazy long cycles where I missed our FW and what not, so it's hard to say. I count it all as months trying because it technically is, but I know where you're coming from. In hindsight it feels weird counting months where you now know you had no shot at getting KU due to timing or other factors.
@luND lol thanks. I'm kind of in denial about the fact that things seem to be falling apart around me these last couple of months! It's just easier to handle it all one thing at a time rather than get worked up. We're guilty of using non-TTC friendly positions often, I doubt it will do much to mess your chances up. And when I wasn't temping last cycle I waited until my dark line on the OPK was a bit lighter before moving to TWW, because that and CM were all I had to go by and I wanted to be sure.
@purplg8r Oh no, so sorry about the UTI. Get well soon.
@MrsDorkCharming I'm sorry to hear AF is giving you such a hard time. I know how debilitating the cramps can be....I hope you are able to get some much needed R&R.
Good luck tomorrow @MommytoM13 ! Im sorry you have to go through all of that! @purplg8r I'm sorry you have a UTI! Those are miserable. @adirat I am exactly the same! Hahaha. I wouldn't know where to begin with a battle! I'm on level 19 @MrsDorkCharming I'm so sorry for AF being such a b*%@&. So many creepy internet hugs to you. Enjoy your day in bed and puppy cuddles! @RunRestRepeat I'm jealous of your short week! @BrambleRose how sweet of that bakery owner! It's stuff like that that makes you realize there are still good people left in the world!
Question about the Mucinex... does it have to be a particular type? Or is it any kind of mucinex? I work in a safety sensitive job and I can't take the Mucinex-D because of the drowsy effects. Liquid or pills?
I haven't heard from my nurse yet but I was able to access my blood tests online (equally a blessing and curse). My progesterone level is 34.7 which from what I understand means that I likely already O'd. Right?

more official update: a nurse from the office called to tell me that I missed the surge and already ovulated. The Dr wants to meet with us to revisit the plan for next cycle. I feel like I'm in trouble or that I failed this cycle. I don't even know what I did wrong.
Regardless, I'll be moving over to TWW. I'll see you all there soon.

@antoto I was wondering about you....glad to hear you were on vacation and (hopefully) relaxing. I agree about the blood glucose test...I was totally blindsided by it I had no clue I was going in for a 2-3 hour test. The drink was so sickeningly sweet to me, but then I don't drink soda or anything like that. My results were high so they are asking me to do another this month after having taken Metformin for a full month now. Not looking forward to reliving that. How's the rest of your testing going so far?
@laurad75 your not in trouble and you did nothing wrong. You did exactly what your doctor told you to do. I'm so sorry you O'd already and won't get to do your IUI. Your timing is still good though so all hope is not lost. Hugs though lady, I remember how upset I was when my first IUI was canceled because I developed ovarian cysts. Hopefully you and your RE can come up with a plan that will work better for you next cycle (possible use of a trigger instead) if this cycle does not work out.

@purplg8r I have no answers for you, unfortunately. Definitely talk to your OB about safe antibiotics, if there are any. I looked up nitrofurantoin on the OVIA pregnancy medication safety list.
I can't tell you what to do, but I might just take it. We say the same thing regarding drinking.. drink until your hpt turns pink. /shrug. I don't know if this medicine disrupts CM at all. Sorry you're in this position.
ETA: @GeorgiaWife6912 they recommend plain mucinex (so nothing for cough or congestion ) and I don't think there's a difference between liquid or pill, but liquid may be absorbed a little more quickly by the body.
WAYDTGKU: Trying to be consistent with PNV and fish oil this month. I was going to try B6 this month to lengthen my LP but I have very mixed feelings about it @adirat said she didn't notice a difference taking it and several sources online state it actually delayed their O. Plus the risk of nerve damage got me like
I'm not sure what else to try to lengthen my LP. I have RRL tea, I just need to be more consistent with that too...
R/R: I called the RE today to cancel the blood work I had scheduled. I posted in a few days ago WTO thread that DH & I have decided to wait on all RE testing for now. Mainly due to our insurance covering nearly zero of it. I actually felt relieved after canceling the appointment so I guess it's the right thing to do for now. We'll re-evaluate in January, as our insurance year will restart then and if we HAVE to max out our deductible, we might as well do it at the beginning of the year.

Voxer...holy crap I'm obsessed. I use it to talk to SO. MANY. PEOPLE. Except now all day it's going off with its damn annoying notification. I secretly love how annoying the notification is too. I'm so weird.
@laurad75 I'm so sorry this happened. Like @wabash15 said, this is NOT your fault. Maybe this will still be your cycle! And if it isn't, you can get a trigger for next cycle.
@TravelingCouple My endocrinologist (not an RE, but I see her for my thyroid) recommended avoiding soy products after ovulation since I have low progesterone and a short LP. Soy mimics estrogen in your body, and during the TWW, you want progesterone rather than estrogen to be dominant. You could give it a shot -- it's pretty easy and essentially risk-free...
Thank you @wabash15 and @adirat. I was feeling okay about it either way and then the nurse (who is not my regular nurse) started the convo by saying 'Unfortunately I have bad news. Your progesterone levels show that you have already ovulated so we need to cancel the cycle'. I didn't like that phrasing. It made me feel like I was already out. My IUI is cancelled but my cycle is still happening. She was actually very sweet but her words sucked.

That means I wake up around 4:30 or so to go again, but I just lay there holding it until I feel like it's been long enough to do an OPK. @motherhubbard19 - Selfishly speaking, thanks for asking - I'm wondering the same thing. I'll stay tuned for answers, but in the meantime, I plan to move to TWW once my CM/CP is consistent with the end of FW. I'm also not tracking in FF, but I've tracked in Clue long enough to have a pretty good idea of when I should move. Looking forward to reading some more experienced answers!
@maebee87 I'm not a professional chart stalker but with that big jump in temps it looks like you O'd I would guess CD29. it doesn't line up perfectly to your CM but it's close. I bet one more high temp and you'll get dotted CH.

@Pepper16 I like Invisibilia too and The Hidden Brain podcast is kind of similar to it so you'll probably like it if you like Invisibilia. Fertility Friday is also a great podcast if you feel like obsessing about TTC more.
@Jane1775 I drink too much water at night too, and I also never know when I'm dehydrated so for the last 6 weeks or so I have been keeping track of my water consumption obsessively. I tally the water I drink every day in a list. I'm going for 9-10 glasses a day. Tallying it has forced me to drink more water earlier so I'm not as thirsty at night. So if I make it to dinner and I've had less than 7 glasses I know I need to speed it up and have 2 full glasses with dinner. I also make sure to drink one full glass in the morning before coffee even though I'm not thirsty and really want coffee. It's obsessive and weird and MH is making fun of me for it a bit, but it is helping me to both drink more and drink it earlier. May be worth a shot!
@maebee87 Thanks for sharing your chart, and no worries -- I actually don't use FF at all so I get not wanting to pay for it!
I think you have a CD26 ovulation. It lines up with your first spike and CM. CD28 could be a fallback rise and I'm ignoring your open circle temps. By temps alone, I would say CD29 or 30, but with your CM and open circle temps, I think it was earlier. Either way, with your spike CD31, I would confidently say you have ovulated and that's the main thing!
@motherhubbard19 and @Runrestrepeat This is just my opinion and others may disagree, but I think if you are tracking CM, you could go once you've had three days with no fertile CM (much like we do three days of high temps). For many people, including myself, CM alone is not a good sign for pinpointing O date, though. If you aren't tracking CM either, then personally I am not sure you should go over to TWW at all since you really have no idea when you're ovulating or when to expect AF.
Also, fair warning, there tends to be some skepticism in TWW if you aren't temping or using OPKs or something, so, you know, be aware and be sensitive. Don't complain if you get a lot of "you're regular until you're not" for one thing!
@GeorgiaWife6912 yay for +OPK! And the uti is so miserable & frustrating!
@magnolia131 waiting here to hear about the hurricane. Hopefully it'll be pretty tame. Not looking forward to being home alone in it since hubby flies out of town Thursday morning. And thank you!
@kat0607 we looked for a house for 5 years. I hated every part. And I wanted a house before we TTC so that stunk! But I'm glad we waited. We ended up building in my ideal neighborhood!
@shstephenson. I'm at centra care now. I'm going to ask my new ob next week. This is such a pain!!
and side note. Just got seen by dr at centra care. He's going to run a pregnancy test just to be sure. I told him at max, like 3 days past O (and really doubt it since I still have low temps but didn't mention that) but he's still going to do one
@MrsDorkCharming Completely agreed re: cafe owner. Those little moments where someone goes out of their way for you who didn't need to can completely turn a bad day around. I'm sorry that you're having a hard time; it sounds like taking off from work was absolutely the right call. I hope the rest of the day treated you well and that your dog has been giving you only the finest of snuggles.
@kat0607 Sorry to hear about the offers falling through. My husband and I bought our house in May, and I know how stressful of a process it can be. I'm sure having that and TTC on your mind isn't easy (throws creepy internet hugs your way if you want them.)
@adirat Thank you on the strength-in-caffeine-abstinence vibes and sending the same back to you. Part of my reason for avoiding it before o is that I'm a generally anxious person, and I think caffeine just makes it worse, but at the same time...it's nectar from the heavens so like how exactly am I supposed to turn that down?

@GeorgiaWife12 hooray for O!!
@laurad75 hope you get good news from your Dr today and you didn't miss your shot for IUI
@hartmich your siggy!! I'm dying!
@Dilynne Hope O holds off and you can get some better timing.
@LuND I cannot agree more on this season of AMS. It's a real let down after how amazing last season was.
Month/Cycle: 7 TTCAL
CD: 20
WAYDTGKU: all the usual things
R/R: I got unnaturally excited yesterday as I was having a lot more CM than is normal for me at this point in my cycle. Got all hopeful thinking I might actually O at a normal time. Then I remembered I've been taking mucinex for the past few days for a cold... But, now I know the claims are true and it really does help, ha!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite/most used app on your phone (besides FF)? probably facebook, mostly because I'm a judgmental lurker...
@GeorgiaWife6912 Yay for the positive OPK! I know how frustrating long cycles can be.
@JulesDP The pop-ups are the worst...and to top it off they're very delayed on my laptop here at work and screw everything up.
@WillRunForWine21 We are planning a February Disney trip as well
@laurad75 I hope you didn't miss your surge...I'm sure that's a bummer.
You are singing MH's tune 100%. He has never had a FB account and hated when I was on it. He was the one who first pointed out to me how much it messed with my moods.
Edited because the tag came out weird and I guess I can't fix it.
Good luck tomorrow @MommytoM13 ! Im sorry you have to go through all of that!
@purplg8r I'm sorry you have a UTI! Those are miserable.
@adirat I am exactly the same! Hahaha. I wouldn't know where to begin with a battle! I'm on level 19
@MrsDorkCharming I'm so sorry for AF being such a b*%@&.

Sorry to hear about all the CD1s today!! @kat0607 - that's so tough! But I second @zwink1: it took me and H a few offers which was really frustrating at the time, but now that we've been in our home for a few months, I know it all worked out for the best and I wouldn't have wanted to end up anywhere else!
Month/Cycle: 2/2

WAYDTGKU: like many today, waiting for AF to gtfo! Also PNVs and temping/charting. Will try OPTs for the first time this cycle.
R/R: I got AF yesterday evening and since I only starting charting/temping last week, I was surprisingly happy this morning when I saw my temp had fallen. Excited to use the info this cycle instead of letting the BSC take over and peeing all my money away on an embarrassingly large number of hpts...

@kat0607 Sorry your house hunting isn't going well. The right house will come along and will be the perfect house for you
@BrambleRose Glad your bad few days had a turn around! Its small things like what the coffee shop owner did that can easily turn around a bad mood. I use to be a facebook scroller, thats another reason I deleted the app on my phone. I'd find myself always opening the app and bored scrolling, then 2 minutes later doing it again with nothing changing. So now I have to be on a computer to open fb. I'm much more conscious about using it.

@laurad75 Yes, that's a high progesterone! The rule of thumb I've heard is that your progesterone should be 10 or higher after ovulation.
@antoto Always nice to see you
What tests are you doing? How did you like the RE practice?
Month/Cycle: 2/TTCAL 11 months all together
CD:31
WAYDTGKU: PNV, pre-seed, HIO during FW, CM, CP, BBT
R/R: I have zero idea what is happening on my chart. I thought I for sure ovulated on CD27, then had a temp drop on CD28 (it was a high stress day) then on CD 29 & CD 30 I had useless temps due to waking up at 4am and having restless sleep (under a lot of stress) then today, CD31 huge temp rise. I can't make heads or tales of what is happening.
CS/Q: see above. It's more of a rant than a question.
GTKY: What is your favorite/most used app on your phone (besides FF)?
Facebook.
Regardless, I'll be moving over to TWW. I'll see you all there soon.

@maebee87 If you share a link I'd be happy to CS, though I'm guessing based on the useless temps we'll just narrow down to a range rather than a specific day. But you know I love a good CS!

I can't tell you what to do, but I might just take it. We say the same thing regarding drinking.. drink until your hpt turns pink. /shrug. I don't know if this medicine disrupts CM at all. Sorry you're in this position.
ETA:
@GeorgiaWife6912 they recommend plain mucinex (so nothing for cough or congestion ) and I don't think there's a difference between liquid or pill, but liquid may be absorbed a little more quickly by the body.

CS/Q: Nothing to see yet
GTKY: What is your favorite/most used app on your phone (besides FF)?

@LuND What are some of your favorite podcasts? I’m always looking for new ones.
@adirat Thank you.
@RunRestRepeat I’m pretty sure everyone on this board at one time or another felt the way you do. I know had my mind blown by TCOYF. It makes you wonder what the hell they taught us in Health class.
@BrambleRose That’s such a sweet story about the café owner!
@MrsDorkCharming I’m sorry you’re having a tough day. I hope a day of puppy snuggles helps a ton.
@Pepper16 I got totally hooked on season 1 of Serial, but I couldn’t get into the second season. As far as recommendations go: I love Pantsuit Politics, these two women with fantastic Southern accents discuss politics. One of them is Republican and the other is Democrat and they try to find common ground. It is a fantastic breath of fresh air in the current political sitch. I’m also obsessed with The Birth Hour, it’s just women talking about their births. I find it fascinating, but I’m sure it’s not for everyone and it is definitely not for bad TTC days. I’ll need to check out Invisibilia, I’m always looking for something new!
@maebee Are you tracking any other signs?
@laurad75 Sorry you missed your surge. I’m sure you didn’t do anything wrong and I hope your doctor can help you get things ready for next month.
Please stalk my chart, I've never shared before so hope this link works for you. And No, I don't have the premium version of FF. But just know, CD 28,29,30 were all weird temps followed by stress and strange frequent temp times.
Here's the link. and I added it to my siggy too.

R/R: I decided last minute to take Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off work. That's my rave. Now, I'm panicking a bit making sure I have things done and at least a little bit in order to be gone. Also, I get up to pee a lot during the night. My first stop is about 1:30. That means I wake up around 4:30 or so to go again, but I just lay there holding it until I feel like it's been long enough to do an OPK. I've never been a good sleeper, but I will probably skip testing next cycle. I just can't seem to drink less water in the evenings.

Since I am not currently using FF and charting religiously (which I will most likely start next cycle) and I don't know when I am going to O (if I haven't already), at what point do I move to TWW or do I just creep around here until AF shows up and I get a better idea of what my body is doing?
GTKY: What is your favorite/most used app on your phone (besides FF)? Probably Pinterest... I'm addicted.

@CallMeMrsChaos I love llr!
@adirat. Thanks for the link! I'll check it out
@WillRunForWine21 are you doing Disney races?? I'm a runDisney freak & have done every wdw race weekend since princess 2011 plus some DL ones!!
@Sugargirl1019. After this, I just might!!
and side note. Just got seen by dr at centra care. He's going to run a pregnancy test just to be sure. I told him at max, like 3 days past O (and really doubt it since I still have low temps but didn't mention that) but he's still going to do one

I have been less than diligent in my charting so... I don't know. Next cycle I am definitely cracking down.
