Re: Anyone else on bedrest yet?
It looks like I'll be here at the very least another month but most likely longer my perinatologist is very strict but very good at what she does. At 25 weeks they will do a magnesium drip for her brain and I'll get a booster of that and steroids at 32 weeks assuming I make it that far. I'll give an update after the ultrasound too. Thanks for the support guys!!

Did you have your shower yet? My mom was on the fence about canceling it next weekend, but it's only a few hours and I promised to be good (stay sitting, drink lots of fluid, and no lifting gifts). Plus it's down the street from our house, so if it's too much, I'll just go home. People will understand.
Ha; my shower is next weekend as well. My mom and sisters werent sure what to do but I said the same thing, Ill sit, drink lots of water, and not lift anything. Im only 5 miles from where its being hosted (I live in the country so thats all of a 10 minute drive tops) and can do the exact same; bail if Im getting tired or feeling any sort of pain.
The best part about all of this is the day after the shower we have a crew coming in to install flooring in our entire house. We hadnt done anything yet and decided in August before the baby came we would put all new in our 1973 home. The soonest they could install was November 7th and at the time we thought; no big deal we have plenty of time. Now all I can think is I have to have everyone else move everything out into the garage while I sit in a chair. Mentally that will SUCK as my husband & brother are "oh so careful" with all of our stuff! Haha!
Isn't it the worst to just sit there and tell people what to do?! I'm surprisingly not enjoying it. I actually find it more stressful. Good luck with the flooring! I'm already freaking out about sending DH grocery shopping unaccompanied tomorrow. I guess this is good prep for when the baby is here though!
Lately I think I've been having more BH contractions, though not painful and not lasting long. Yesterday I went on a short walk, maybe 20 minutes, and from the very beginning I started having braxton hicks contractions. I went back to the house to pee, since that seems to bring them on, but the whole walk I kept thinking the walking would made them loosen, but it kept my uterus seemingly tight and then painful the whole time...but at that point all I could do was continue walking home. I started having some light lower back pain and small menstrual type cramps, though again..not too bad, but enough to be noticeable. Even after getting home and doing some cat/cow stretches and resting the contractions seemed to continue frequently. I called my clinic and they said to drink water, lay on my left side, and go in to L&D for a check-up if I have more than 6/hr. Problem was, I don't know what to count as a contraction

I've been in the hospital on strict (no sitting, no walking, no nothing) since 21 weeks 3 days. It is so hard to resist sitting up and moving around. Thankfully I'm at 28 weeks today and will hopefully getting wheelchair privileges soon. I get 20mg of procardia every 6 hours and terbutaline shots if I have 6 contractions or more in an hour. Terbutaline is the stuff that causes your heart to go bonkers it is also used to help asthma sine it relaxes your smoth muscle. Procardia or Nifedipine is a blood pressure medication that also works to relax smooth muscle. I hope you ladies are doing well and things are calming down for you.
