I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like my thumbs were falling off? Like literally like the muscles holding my thumbs were not doing their job anymore and they were just held on by my skin. It was so terrible!
I had an issue with my leg hurting during pregnancy and now its started again! It hurts to walk or twist around in bed!
Okay so it's not just me that is having issues from pregnancy come back. I had a stuffy nose through the first 4-5 months then again the last month and again now
Like his older brother, Gideon slept great in the hospital, but on our first night home, he's decided he has no interest in sleeping anywhere except in our arms. So now I'm awake holding a baby at 2 am just thinking of the months of sleep i'm going to miss while my husband snores next to me.
My parents up and decided they are going to visit my third week PP (which I've mentioned a million times, sorry). Well I spoke to them last night and told them to bring some waterproof shoes in case they have to walk the dog in the rain. At which point I learn my mother's knees and hips have gotten worse and she WON'T BE ABLE TO WALK THE DOG, which is the ONLY thing I really need help with. Also, they've decided to give me a little extra space and plan on eating breakfast in the hotel every morning. That's fine, except it means my dad won't be able to walk the dog either. So now my DH will have to wake up at 5:30 every morning to do it, then go in for his 10-hour work day, all after sleeping next to a newborn. ETA: I'm having a c-section, which is why I probably won't be able to walk the dog myself.
The worst sciatica pain from my back down into my leg and I've only slept about 2 hours this entire night. And my DH didn't get home from his job until 5am. Should be an awesome Monday.
@books&icecream sorry your mom isn't feeling great. do they have dog walkers in germany? that may be a better option considering at some point your parents will be leaving and you could benefit from this long term.

You described my life! In the hospital this guy slept like a champ, even during the day he is fine sleeping in his bassinet but at night (9pm - 6am) he absolutely refuses. The first two nights ended up falling on me even though my hubby was all "I haven't slept at all" fucker I woke him up twice to take the baby. Last night he got his act together and let the baby sleep on his chest a few hours while I slept, then I took 1-5, and he took him for another hour then me at 6, but he was willing to go into his bassinet at that point so I got another 45 minutes. This might work now, but my hubby goes back to work next week....then what?!?
Oh and let's add to the 6 day old baby that is refusing to be put down, my husband woke up this morning (yup after skin on skin snuggling for hours last night) with a full blown cold. I'm seriously scared for the week ahead!!
@books&icecream ... Ohhh man. You poor thing. That visit is going to be a rough one. I 2nd what @mrszoess said... Get a dog walker if you can.
@UponAStar16 - hugs! The nipple pain scares me to death lol... And YES re: the deleting of posts when you don't want it to but saving anytime you wish it would just delete
Oh man I feel bad complaining about tiredness when all you new moms are battling NO sleep at all. Hope it gets easier for everyone and you LO's decide to finally sleep on their own. One of my fears as well.
I can't believe it's already Monday, the only thing that makes me excited about Monday's is my ticker change, ONE more week closer to having this baby. BUT I'm so beyond tired, insomnia has been in full swing the past few days. It's so crazy how, we as women/mothers can still fully function on no sleep. Survival mode.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
@sportiegrl1213 Ticker change is the only reason I manage to get motivated for Monday. But once I've read all the updates, it's just Monday again. Crazy this is my last "Monday" for 3 months!!
I hope all the night owl babies start sleeping for you tired mommas soon!

@sportiegrl1213 you are so right about how it's amazing how we survive on such little sleep. I mean I'm getting about 4-5 hours of sleep but that's spread out throughout the day (if I'm lucky, 2 hours of that is at night). Yes overnight I see doubles but by 7am I'm actually functioning lol or at least I'm delusional enough to call it functioning
Okay I was going to edit my last post but the MBF is a special one!
There is a woman at my work, loves kids, would like to have kids, but she has relationship standard issues (whole other can of worms). So she asked how I was doing so I told her about how Jace isn't sleeping at night and feeding is a struggle so I think I'm jumping to give him a bottle before he's truly hungry for it (for example he'll be quiet but chewing on his hand so I'd get him a bottle - but last night I just let him chew until he cried or fussed then he ate more of his bottle at a time). I also told her I'm trying to BF but I have to supplement with formula (thanks PCOS). Before I paste her response, lemme just say thank you to all you ladies for educating me before she got to or else my guy would be starving!!
"Very cute Laura...❤️❤️❤️❤️I meant to reply last night...baby needs to feed every hour for growth and strength this is normal...please do not make him wait 3 hours love ...if he is sucking on his hand it means he is hungry these are the signs as he is unable to talk and tell you....all babies do at the beginning is eat and poop....until they are a few months old this is normal and I don't think you can change between bottle and boob to be honest as it is not the same thing will just confuse the baby. Like I said yesterday my Sister-in-law was feeding every 1/2 hour and they logged everything as they were exhausted and needed to keep track or they would get mixed up on which boob. I know it's a lot of work sweetie but you knew this wasn't gonna be a walk in the park lol you are a mommy now and it is a 24/7 job ❤️ stay strong love and you will get through this difficult part if motherhood ❤️"
@MRSCORKER... I put 2 pineapples on my home shop grocery order for DH to pick up on the way home today. I didn't even think about the heartburn... Damn! Well... .I guess I'll be a fire breathing dragon right along with you... because, COME ON BABY!!!
Ugh, rough morning. Woke up around 5:30 and baby was super still which was making me anxious. Got up after a bit and drank some coffee, still couldn't really feel him moving. So I had some juice and a snack and laid down and still wasn't getting a normal kick count. Went to L&D to make sure everything was ok, and of course he perked right up and everything looks normal. I'm so glad everything is fine, but what a stressful way to start the day! It seems like baby just has an opposite sleep schedule from me ... he gets super active every night when I'm trying to fall asleep and is quiet when I wake up in the morning. Stop making me anxious baby! And while you're at it, hurry up and get here please!
@LauraPCOS I feel bad even posting a MBF now because it is extremely petty compared to that! I am sure you are doing a great job.
I am aware how petty and childish this is, but my husband's grandmother left him a VM yesterday, reminding us that it is October and she is anxiously waiting for a phone call that we had the baby. My MIL told my husband she is sleeping with the phone beside her bed over a week ago. I am not due for another two weeks. The idea that these retired women are sitting around waiting when it could be another three weeks gives me anxiety.
my MBF is I have the worst snoring. My SO video taped me and I legit sound like a wildebeast. I am using the breath right nasal strip and they worked for the first week but they are no longer working for me, and my SO is literally waking me up like 400x's at night because he can't sleep over my snoring.
SO and I have been together: 5 Years+ BFP: 03/10 First Baby: 10/20/2016
bahahaha... @Ashleymn - DH woke me up 2 nights ago for the same. Snoring solidarity my friend.
Adding... he also woke me up 2 other times (accidentally) by moving around and jabbing me with an arm. We have a king sized bed... get the eff over! lol
Awe I'm sorry to the ladies who are either suffering with insomnia or have little humans on their own sleep schedules. I know what both feel like and both suck. My Monday bitch is I have to go to the OB today. Which would normally be something exciting but this guy is an idiot and I don't like him. He screwed up bad on reading my GD results and has been giving me the run around on whether or not I can try to have a vbac. So this time I am taking my husband with me, cause I have slight feeling he is not going to be such a dork if my husband is sitting there. But I still am DREADING going and it's still 3 hours away.

I have little faith in my Dr as well mine keeps moving my due date around and the time frame HE suggests is physically impossible. I try to tell myself that an extra week or two is no biggie, but it's starting to grate on my nerves. I too have an appt today, NST which will show his heart decelling with each contraction but my doc will say everything's fine and send me home. I hope everything's fine.....but I don't trust him. I hope your appt goes well. Maybe having hubs there will help get some straight answers for you!!

Mine sucks. It doesn't help I had an amazing OB my first two babies and my expectations weren't so insanely high. But this guy is just dumb. My first baby almost died, and my NST's haven't been perfect with this baby either, but he doesn't seem to worry.

@laurapcos you're gonna deal with a lot more know it alls. i've found the easiest thing to do is reply "awesome let me run it by my pediatrician" and move along. if that lady wants to cluster feed and spend a ton on wasted formula and get clogged ducts so whatever
Yes!! It's hard to go from an amazing Dr with the other kids, to this random guy my insurance covers I told myself in the beginning that it didn't matter, we just needed someone to catch the baby. I'll be thinking of you today while I'm dealing with my own Dr do little. Almost done!!
@Schell2013@melissabrimmer I'll commiserate with y'all on terrible OBs! I am a FTM so didn't really have any expectations either, but right from the start my ob was flaky - late to start the day, every time we were there... cancelling days altogether and moving appointments constantly... There was a 3-month span where we did not see him once because of this! And then he told ME how important it was too stay on top of visits!!! So awkward. He forgot to give us the updated EDD until we were 4 months along, and it is 2 weeks sooner than the original one we had (Nov 8 to Oct 26). He told us the gender results from the AS were female, even though the technician had said male... when i told him this, he became confused and couldn't give us a straight answer either way until our next us confirmed it was a boy. We had to sit in that very confusing limbo for three weeks! My blood tests have all been prescribed late, didn't even get to do the GD test until 32 weeks (it's supposed to be done 26-28 weeks i believe?), and last week I got a call from his office with a 4th US appt (I'm 37 weeks), which he hadn't mentioned we needed.... I called back to confirm that they booked it for the right patient, the receptionist said "that's weird he wouldn't tell you!!" ... I have an appt in 90 minutes, need to ask him about feeling faint all the time. Ugh. I have thought so many times about switching doctors but keep telling myself it's too late. Then something else keeps happening to add to the list of reasons why I should have done it already next baby for sure will NOT be looked after by this guy....
Something I ate is giving me the major shits. There is nothing like plopping your newborn crying in the bassinet mid feed and running to the toilet. Multiple times. As if I didn't have enough to worry about!
@KarenBM13 That would make me really irritated actually. I know older people get excited over that stuff, but you don't need that!
This is more of a petty problem. But I got a new phone and had to reinstall the bump. Now mobile bump is no longer working for me I missed an entire weekend of ooo-ing and ahhh-ing over all the cute new babies. It's still early Monday, and I only just arrived at work. I'm sure a legitimate b-fest will occur soon. It's only a matter of time!
Ugh. Not only could I not fall asleep forever last night, but I woke up in the wee morning hours and never got back to sleep, so I got 3 to 4 hours tops. I know you mommas with new babes are laughing at me, but really - I need to rest up because I know I won't be able to sleep when baby is here! (And the idea that your body prepares for little sleep by getting little sleep is total bullshit, IMO.) I can't even go straight home after work to nap because of a doctor's appointment - but on the plus side it is my first internal exam so we'll see if anything is progressing down there.
Oh, and my left butt cheek is having some sort of issue. I can't figure out how to stretch/pop/massage it for relief. It's possible my husband is going to come home to a request for a butt rub.
@chriscasey33 - is it bc your new phone has iOS 10? My iPhone is asking me to install but I've been holding off until I make sure none of the bugs with other apps affect me... Esp since we have a bunch of baby apps that rely on the phone now.
