goodbye TW loss

While previous ultrasounds and dopplers were totally normal, the fetal scan on Thursday revealed significant defects in the baby's brain, face, heart, and diaphragm. Any of these on their own would be devastating and together they mean that the baby cannot survive and he/she likely has a chromosomal disorder or other pervasive genetic defect. My husband and I have decided, with help from our doctor and the genetic counselor, to terminate the pregnancy on Monday. They will runs tests on the fetal tissue after the fact. These are the saddest days I have ever experienced.

I sincerely hope that I'm the last person who has to post anything like this to this board and you all have the best of experiences with your pregnancies, births, and babies.

I can't imagine what you are going through and I'm so very sorry. My thoughts will be with you and your family. I hope you get some answers. I'm not really sure what else to say except be good to yourself and take the time you need to heal. I don't know what you are going through but if you just need someone to vent to about anything I'm available.

Oh my God, @Amber_Waves I'm so so terribly sorry. I don't know what to say other than that I feel awful. You're a strong woman. Stay strong but it's ok to let yourself cry and grieve. My thoughts and prayers are with you, the baby, and your family. We are all here if you want to talk.

Oh no! I'm so sorry!!! I don't know what it's like to have to make that decision, but do know what it's like to lose babies in the middle of the second trimester.
