Just got home from my app. I can't decide if I like how cautious my OB is. He won't take the cerclage out, but when he checked it's about 3/4s ripped out. So he will just leave it until I'm ready to push.
He also took me completely off bed rest but changed from 4-6 contractions in an hour to 2 in 'a typical movie' length of time.
ouch? Also are you having real contractions or BH? I easily have 2 BH in an hour almost everyday.
E is using it as a punching bag. The worst hits she lands, make me double over and lead to 2-3 drops of blood next bathroom break.
I'm having real contractions. I have made 6 *I think* L&D runs in the last month. It's just ridiculous at this point, and I am so ready to be done. Like if I could pop her out today I would. My OB practice is attached to the best NICU in the state, and I'm losing my mind with this BS.

Yikes. I am ready to be done, so I can only imagine how you feel. 31 weeks tomorrow - you're doing a great job keeping her in! Whether you want to or not!
I just had another appointment. I've been having mild contractions off and on all day. I've tried drinking water and changing positions but they didn't stop and have remained pretty consistently 20 minutes apart for the last six hours. I called my doctor's office and the on-call doctor had me come. He did a quick ultrasound and my cervix is still closed (at 3.0, which is the same as it was at the MFM's office three weeks ago) so he said they are probably normal BH contractions and to call or go to L&D if they get to be painful or 5 minutes apart.
@DiFazette its been a month since the last ultrasound, but from the measuring tape and that last US, she should be right about 4lbs right now. Which is the discharge weight for the NICU she would be in.

Had my 28week on Tuesday, doc said everything was measuring normal- super uneventful. I have had a ton of round ligament and hip flexor pain- doctor says it's pretty normal and will probably continue the rest of my pregnancy. Dry needling my hip flexor helped and also helped my calf cramps (along with a potassium supplement every few days). He told me even though it hurts it's not hurting me or baby so I'm gonna keep moving- I think working out is keeping me sane... that and nap time
Went to see my MFM doc today @ 30+2. He weighs 3lb 10oz & is head down. I got the clearance to travel as my cervix is measuring long & closed! Doc says everything is progressing beautifully and doesn't think I need to go back to MFM anymore unless there is a problem.

Had my 30w appt yesterday and baby's heartrate and my blood pressure were okay but I had a biophysical profile ultrasound done due to my age. Doctor said I will have an ultrasound each time I come from here on out just to monitor baby boy. He looked great and the extra peek was an unexpected surprise. 9.5 weeks to go!
Update: I was vomiting so violently in the patient exam room that my OB is increasing my Zofran dosage. I hate that I got sick at my appointment but if it gets things done, so be it. Also have a 3D ultrasound on Saturday, I'm glad I asked you all about it otherwise in a few weeks I would've been too late to schedule anything.
Had my 30 week appointment yesterday. Baby boy sounded great and feels to be a good size. He flipped head down last week and is lodged pretty low on my pelvic canal as was DD1. My blood pressure is elevated and since I have low blood pressure to begin with my doctor is planning on paying close attention. I suffered from Hellp with DD1 and so he's worried I may be showing onset signs again. We have a scan next week at my uterus is measuring small again and we think my fluids may be low. These are all things I've delt with through both previous pregnancies. It's one week at a time now.

Passed my glucose test! They only needed a finger prick of blood and had my results by the time my appointment was over. They're filling out all my breast pump paperwork for me. I'm liking this new office so far.
My GTT is tomorrow (I thought it was today) and I have been hardcore avoiding sugar. Even thought they told me not to eat white carbs for dinner, I've been doing that all day. I'm taking no chances! Will be pissed beyond belief if I fail. High BP and GD? Fuck that!
@dmontgo@Austenista I'm also in the same boat. I've been trying to eat really healthy all week, and am eating a protein heavy breakfast right before I go. I'm also due for the dtap and another ultrasound.
Just remember ladies that the food is a small piece of the big picture. It's not what you will or won't eat (unless you eat a snickers and Mountain Dew for breakfast). No matter what happens it's not a failure on your part - blame your placenta. I ate white toast with peanut butter and banana on it and passed just fine - and I'm elevated risk with multiples for GD. Good luck!
@DiFazette Thank you for the encouragement! Trying not to stress too much--I am already over the BP stuff and really don't want to add anything else to it! Thanks for putting it in perspective.

Understood, but this is kind of one of those things that unless you put yourself into glycemic shock before the appointment, your body will do what it does and there's not a whole lot you can do to control it. If you fail, you deserve to kill your placenta via the torturous method of your choice . BP issues and GD stem from it and yours will just be a downright bitch with any further complications.
I naturally eat pretty much a diabetic diet as my dad had medicine induced diabetes when I was younger and the whole protein/carb balance thing is just ingrained so it won't be too much a change if I do have it. I also keep telling myself that worst case scenario I have it, at least it's an excuse to continue eating super healthy the rest of the pregnancy.
Just had my 29 week appointment. They were very happy with my health. I measured 30 weeks, and go back in 2 more weeks. Only annoyingly thing is that they are still out of flu shots so I'll need to go get one elsewhere this weekend.
Had my 30 week appt and a sonogram this morning. I got a good report overall. I thought my blood pressure seemed low (106/70 - usually I am right near 120/80) but the doc didn't seem to be concerned. I passed the glucose test and my iron levels are good to go - surprising given the fact that my prenatals don't have iron and I've had low iron in the past... but whatevs. Also got a flu shot - yay. Next appt (in two weeks!!! yikes!!!), I'll get the TDAP vaccine.
Baby is looking good too! She is on the small side, in the 26th percentile, but looking happy and healthy! We even got a look at her face (kinda) and she seemed like she was content.
Drank the Glucola and went to my appointment. Wasn't too bad, but it did make me dizzy. BP was 129/96. I had some concerns because I had two headaches this week. During the headaches I had BPs of 138/88 and then last night a reading of 140/90--not terrible, but clearly increasing. Mentioned it to the doctor, and he asked where the headaches occurred. I told him it was on the back of my head and coming up to my forehead. He said it was likely a muscular/tension headache considering the location, as my readings have been really good (even my headache readings, considering) but to keep an eye on them--if they keep occurring call him immediately.
They don't administer flu shots and the Tdap, but recommended I at least get the flu shot.
Did all the things at the doctor today. Drank the glucola fruit punch and 'twas not delicious, but didn't make me dizzy or give me a headache like I was afraid it might do. Got the TDAP shot. BP was up a few points today, but nurse said it wasn't a big deal. I'm going to monitor it at home more closely anyway though.
Talked to the doctor about their stance on c-section versus vaginal birth for plus sized mothers and she was adamant that their priority is to do a vaginal birth and so that was really good news for me. Did I mention that I have been nothing but happy with my OB?
Did the blood draw and they took 4 vials because they're going to check my thyroid too. That was a little tough, but they only had to stick me once. I walked away feeling like I had cotton in my ears, but it soon passed.
Then I got to do a growth ultrasound and see the boy. He's measuring just a few days ahead 29w1, and I'm 28w5. Says he is weighing about 3lbs but I know those things can be off. It was nice to see him in there head down and looking good though.
Finally, I got my rhogam shot. I took advice on here and asked for the hip. Thank goodness I did because I imagine that would have been a real ouch in the arm.
I too drank the glucola this morning. It wasn't great, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, itdidn't make me sick or dizzy, thankfully. The ultrasound showed he's measuring exactly on target at 28 weeks which is a huge relief because I've had a lot of thyroid issues this pregnancy, and I was worried it would affect him. I also got the Tdap, the flu shot, and they checked my iron along with my blood sugar. So now we just wait for the results!
My 29 week visit was pretty uneventful, but the first with my new OB (last visit was a transition visit with the NP). She is funny and very patient about answering questions, though she said my oatmeal in the morning might be too many carbs, but to see if I pass the 3 hour glucose test first before modifying my diet. Talked about cord blood banking (she doesn't charge if its for public donation) and that my iron levels are still good, so no need to take a supplement for that (I currently take the gummy vitamins w/o iron). I haven't had an ultrasound since my anatomy scan at 20 weeks, and won't have another until 36 weeks, so I'm jealous of all of you who have been able to see your little one recently!
This office is smaller than my old practice, so I have to get the flu shot and Tdap from CVS or my family doc. My doc said I can get the Tdap at the hospital right after birth for free, but I think I'll pay the extra $65 to get it before 36 weeks and maybe pass some immunity onto baby.
Sorry I'm crashing the party this week. My appointment was next Thursday but after DTD with DH this morning it burned down there. It was so painful we had to stop and it continued to burn for over an hour. I called my OB and they wanted to see me for a potential UTI. Culture came back negative so my doctor sent it away for further analysis. He also called in a script for me in case symptoms get worse over the weekend so I could get meds if need be. But for the time being, OTC Azo and cranberry pills (because cranberry juice is gross). While I was there he did my 30 week check-up. Squish is measuring right on track and has a great heartbeat (Squish also didn't like the doppler and was trying to kick it away...little brat!) Changed next weeks appointment for 2 weeks away and scheduled my 34 week scan, since there was an opening on a day and time DH can come with! So excited!!!! Last time I saw Squish was the anatomy scan at 20 weeks!
