@phoenix870509 Such twin dogs! My lab loves fruits and veggies. She'll eat a pile of spinach no problem. He favorite is the big stalk on a head of broccoli. You'd think I'd given her a steak bone. So far the only things we've found she won't eat are pickles and celery. They're so weird.
My lab will pretty much eat anything. I don't think there's a food he won't eat. He loves fruits and veggies. Last night I was prepping green beans and whenever one fell on the floor I gave him the okay to get it (I trained him to wait until he is invited to get something off the floor; just because it fell on the floor does not mean it is automatically his). I just did not feel like bending down to get them! He must have gotten 8 or so and was just in his glory. And this morning with his kibbles he had blueberries, and a little bit of peanut butter with his afternoon dentastick.. No, this dog is not spoiled...

@phoenix870509 I'm convinced our dogs are siblings or something. Haha. We do the same thing with food dropped on the floor. And she'll just stare and drool until you give her the go ahead to eat it. So nice to have such an efficient food vacuum.
I wish I could participate in the debate drinking games. Ugh...drinking water just doesn't mean that buzz!
Funny that you say that. I'm playing my own drinking game... same rules, only with water. I didn't drink enough during the day so I'm catching up tonight. And will also probably be peeing the bed.

Maybe I'll get a bowl of ice cream and make it an eating game....
NPR.org has a live fact checker for the debate. Kind of interesting to see all the lies/misleading truths being put forward.
I usually do follow the NPR fact checker but my complaint is that they embed the fact checking into the entire transcript and also sometimes just elaborate or clarify on the point. I want something that just quotes a statement and then is like "WRONG! Because..."
I thought Hillary Clinton came off really well. As far as debates went, the whiny behavior was really just on the orange side of the stage. She kept her cool.
I hate being pregnant and extra irritable during this election. I had to tell my dad that he cannot bring up anything related to the election to me until at least December. Sucks being politically apathetic in the DC area, sucks worse during an election!
@sourlemon were we watching the same debate? I couldn't believe how much restraint Hillary showed. No person should be expected to respond with that much decorum with someone just completely disregarding and disrespecting debate format and rules.
Honestly it went better than I expected though. In terms of the goal of learning more about the candidates. While it was unruly and weird, both elaborated on their platforms. I think poor Lester got two questions in but they touched on all the things the debate intended to.
There will still be 2 more debates, I'm sure to bring up the other issues they didn't get to last night. Yeah Trump definitely treated this more like one of the GOP candidate debates than an actual presidential debate but I honestly don't think it will hurt him since most people voting for him really can't stand Hillary. Those people won't care either way how he treated her.

True. This debate did probably nothing to turn Trump supporters into Hillary supporters - those people are firmly in his camp (clearly) no matter what he says. Should be interesting to see if any of the fence-sitters in this country were swayed. Trump made decent points regarding trade and the fact that the establishment hasn't made good enough progress, but then so many of his points descended into weird areas. Did he insinuate that his kid could become a hacker? What about the 400-lb guy on the bed? Totally bizarre.
@Lisa3379 I did not watch the debate but am now googling "400lb guy on the bed Trump" because that made me curious. Should get me some entertaining results...

So I just found out that I got the job I interviewed for last week! In FFFC I confessed that I didn't tell them I'm pregnant. Today when they offered me the job they said that they totally knew. So I was feeling guilty for nothing - pregnancy has made me a head case!

I've been MIA a bit this week due to a flu, but DH forced me to watch that terrible debate. I think my baby had an aneurism from all of my stress. I told him that we can't watch any more debates because I don't think I can deal with a certain orange candidate I loathe. ...Unless it was in person and I could punch him or electrocute him at will....man that would be an amazing pregnancy relaxation technique now that I think about it. I'm gonna call the Bradley Method people about this relaxation insight.
I decided to rearrange all the girls rooms so the baby and our toddler are in the room nearest to us... This is not a little ordeal! I haven't even done it yet and I feel tired. Plus having our 5 yo upstairs, with her sisters is daunting!!! The girl still gets into everything and isn't very independent with her basic skills. I am just not sure what else to do!
Exactly... They were both embarrassing! The Constitution was behind them on the wall and all I could think was what a shame they both are to it, the position of presidency and many of our former presidents! Did you all know George Wahsington didn't even want to be president because he was so afraid people would make him King ... After his second term he refused (due to that fear) and then Thomas Jefferson wouldn't do a 3rd term because he said that he is not a greater man than Washington... While they had their flaws, that humility is a needed things these days! I was so sick of hearing them both gloat about their "achievements"... Ok... I'll stop now.
@maamawaabangi I'm also not a fan of either one. You know our current two party system needs reform when these are our choices. I wish more people knew about the third party candidates!
I can't (like it's beyond me) to vote for either one... I will be voting 3rd party or (horribly and regretfully) not at all! It just needs to happen one time... Gosh it makes me laugh at the times I thought our previous candidates were "bad" ... Give me John Kerry... I'd vote for him... It puts things into perspective! I will agree I was even (mildly) impressed with Clintons reserve with Trump... But still... That red pant suit!
How did I miss this thread?! I passed out right before the debate started and I woke up afterwards to the news and NBC referring to "Miss Piggy" I was like "WTF AM I DREAMING???? HOW DID MISS PIGGY GET MENTIONED DURING THE DEBATE" Then the next morning I read the news and it all made sense.
Anyway I just wanted to share this here because I didn't want to open up the zombie thread- I was making my list of freezer meals I am going to make at the end of the month and I found this great website that has 20 make ahead meals..... they all look pretty damn good! https://thekrazycouponlady.com/tips/recipes/20-make-ahead-freezer-dinners-for-busy-moms/

Also, my phone tried to autocorrect debate to death cuz I missed 1 letter. It may be fitting here.
Oh insults already!
Officially not watching the debates because I can't handle petty insults and stupid arguments. Ugh.
