I dunno when he decided to turn, but he did. On his own! They did an ultrasound to check on his positioning and lo and behold, he was head down! So then the doc wanted to check my cervix because she said "he's looking pretty low". And yep, she said his head was right there!
So so stoked! DH on the other hand on our way home said "do you think sweetie, I poked the baby's head last night while we were having sex? Because the doc barely inserted her fingers and felt his head. He must have been right there already. " lmao!!!!

That is such a relief @annabenanna ! So glad baby is good to go. My Hubby had a similar shocked looked when the doctor said baby was right there, after some good us time the night before lol. Now he won't even come near me haha. @LauraPCOS@AllyTheKid your babies and I may be birthday buddies, it's an awesome birthday ! My oldest is 10 days before me and I'd be totally fine with this little gal being 10 days after, I'm ready to go ! So jelly of all your early ish babies, but I will be so happy when Oct. gets here.
@annabenanna Just read your update - oh my goodness girl, I am so happy for you! What a relief!! Did you have any indication that he flipped? Pretty sure I'm still feeling a head in my ribs but she's been moving a lot more lately. Hoping she takes a cue from your little man & will turn on around!
I'm hoping to get as much laboring at home as @mizzkbrat! My doula said that's really the easiest way to labor as everything is in your control still. Unless your desperate for that epidural, lol. So happy for you, girl!!
Just to update those who aren't in the FB group, LauraPCOS went in for a c section earlier this morning. So hopefully we will hear some good news soon!!
Little man is approx. 6 lbs 10 oz and his head is measuring 3 weeks ahead Cervix is still locked up tight though. I was hoping the cramping meant progress was being made but oh well. Hoping for a cm or so at next weeks appt.

Update on @allythekid! Her water broke this morning and she is in L&D. Was dilated to just under a 5 and had an epidural about an hour ago. Said they just upped her pitocin, so hoping things start picking up soon!!
I got the call just a few minutes ago that confirmed I go in to the hospital tomorrow at 4pm to start cervidil and spend the night. Bright and early at 6am on Thursday is when the induction officially starts. HOLY COW IT'S ALMOST TIME! I cannot wait to meet him.
Thanks ladies for all the love! Just recovering now, hoping to go hold my little man in a few hours. My contractions felt like period cramps without the tightening of the stomach but I could feel them coming on, getting stronger, then weakening and gone. Epidural are awesome but the freezing sucks balls. Also my legs were so frozen (a little too frozen) so every time they needed me to roll over it was a huge job
Congratulations @LauraPCOS! Sorry to hear that it was a scary little bit, but glad he seems to be doing well and I hope he gets the all clear to go home when you do
@Laurapcos congrats!!! He is adorable! Baby passing Meconium while in labor is scary but it sounds like his lungs are strong which is a huge plus! I am hoping he clears up soon and able to with home with you! Hopefully, since you had a c section you'll have to stay in the hospital for a few more days vs having a vaginal delivery!

Fingers crossed today is the day, or my time is soon. Horrible cramps, accompanied by diarehha. And I finally got some ambition to work around the house despite not feeling great.
Side note- if anyone else gets the brain wave to clean their oven don't. It's almost impossible to reach the back with a big belly. I think I stretched my shoulder muscles beyond natural abilities.
Im only 37 weeks but was in labor with my first at 37+2 so I can only hope I'm as lucky this time.

So excited for you @Piperella and @mrszoess!! Fingers crossed for a smooth labor for both of you! Can't wait for an update!!
I'm a little disappointed I haven't progressed since last week, still 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Will be 39 weeks tomorrow. They *think* he's head down (but hasn't dropped yet) but want to be sure so we're going for an U/S on Friday. It'll be nice to see him seeing how he doesn't seem to want to arrive in person yet I'm also anxious to get an estimate of his weight because he's been measuring ahead this whole pregnancy.
is the diarrhea before labor thing a truth or a tale? bc either i'm crazy anxious for tm or we have a problem here
Everything I've heard/read says it's true. My doc even asked me if I was having issues with it. Unfortunately my diarrhea is probably more from the insane amount of jalapeños and hot sauce than it from impending labor. Lol. But hopefully it's a good sign for you!!
The last few pages of this thread are so exciting! Congrats to the new mamas and good luck to those just about to meet their littles! Can't wait to see more in the announcements thread
I had my first labor and delivery triage experience today, not so much because I thought I was in labor, but all my fellow nurses were harassing me to go get checked. I work in the hospital so it's a quick trip up the elevator, and I finally caved. They were worried because I had horrible back pain, nausea and period-like cramps. I was more concerned about a UTI or kidney stones, but I went up to just to be sure. They monitored me for about an hour, and I had to convince them to send my urine down for testing. The best part (not) was the midwife telling me I needed to go back to work instead of just going home for the day, even though I was in incredible pain. Come on, I know I'm not in labor, but I could barely walk because of the pain in my back. Luckily my supervisor just told me to go home and rest, she wasn't going to make me stay, plus I had people to cover me. So now just resting, hydrating, and hoping the pain subsides before work tomorrow.
Annnnnd @allythekid has a baby! Johnny Atticus was born at 1:27pm at 6lbs & 15 oz. and 19.5 inches long. She says she will update & post an announcement later
