Measuring 9w1d, wiggling about, and with a heartrate of 167. The doctor said that we're not out of the woods until 14 weeks, but she'll take the positive news! Wooooooooooooooooo!
Finally had my first real appointment today and got an US. We were able to see the heartbeat and baby was very wiggly. Midwife dated me 3 days behind what I thought I was so I'm officially a Friday ticker change now instead of Tuesday, at an even 10 weeks today. It's finally feeling real now!
Had our second appointment today. I don't know how I got it in my head, but I guess I just assumed it would be an ultrasound and the NT that so many others around my due date have been mentioning. Nope. Blood pressure and used the doppler to hear the heartbeat. I was just really taken back by how low key the appointment was. The next appointment (at 16-17 weeks) will be just a blood draw and doppler. No ultrasound again until the anatomy scan. All was well and the baby had a strong heart beat, just trying to wrap my head around what to expect at appointments.
Most appointments will be pretty low key. My doctor usually does a heartbeat check, vitals, and weight plus a urine sample. As I get further along she'll measure my belly. Otherwise, I get an anatomy scan at 20 weeks. That's basically it.
I had my 2nd appointment on Monday. They moved up my due date from 4/28 to 4/24. They said the baby was measuring perfectly and had a heartbeat of 170. I found out I have a subchorionic hematoma similar to @Breesy14 and @thecavfamily. It made me really nervous but I haven't had any spotting. She said they are pretty common and are in about 70% of all pregnancies. She also told me they would check in at my next US to see if it has been "smashed" by everything growing which would be good. But I don't know what happens if it is still there. Anyone? She didn't seem too worried so I'm trying not to stress out about it. I also found out I have a cyst on one of my ovaries which she said is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy and also common. I'm going in on the 13th for my NT scan. Looking forward to hitting 12 weeks soon.
@aboxofchocolates if your doctor isn't worried, then it's fine. I've had them when I was pregnant with my son and I would get brown spotting. I only freaked out when it was bright red, but even then everything was ok.
We went this Thurs. I have a new OB and new hospital group so, it was a bit different from my 1st pregnancy. I didn't have a panic attack in the US room like I did with my 1st kid. Baby looked great and they did a blood draw ect. I think I was more prepared but, also I noticed it feels more real after the initial visit. 2.5 months in and so far so good! EDD is 4-23-2017
