So sorry I haven't been keeping up with this thread. I had to take some time away, seeing all the TW posts had me in a state of crazy. I promised DH I would take some time off and focus on our pregnancy. But with that being said...lets get to it!
Who has an appointment this week and what are you most excited/nervous about?

I have my 12 week appointment on Thursday morning and we will get to hear the heartbeat!
I have been very anxious/excited for this appointment from day 1...after Thursday we will start sharing our news with friends, and I CANNOT wait!!
@kitkat8387 and @thecavfamily I don't know how you are going to make it until this afternoon - I would be a bundle of nerves! Best of luck on your appointments!!

Turns out that I have a subchorionic hematoma (autocorrect wants to change this to 'subconscious tomato' which I think is hilarious). It's a blood clot on the placenta, specifically between the placenta and the uterus. Not too serious because it's small. Scary because I've been bleeding red for a week! I can't find the baby's heartbeat on my doppler, though it could be too early or maybe I'm just too fluffy this time around. I'm hoping the hematoma is no longer there and baby is fine. I will also have the genetic test done, so lots of blood drawn. I'm nervous about that too! I'm basically just trying to chill out and realize that none of this is in my control. That is such a hard thing to let go of for me though.

@Breesy14, I too have a subconscious tomato and will likely now be referring to it as such. Thanks for that. I'm sorry that you have so many questions right now. I know it's scary and more so when you feel there is nothing you can do for reassurance except wait. Thursday can not get here soon enough.
For those of you wondering what to expect - it was an abdominal ultrasound (the last one I had at ~8 weeks was transvaginal) and the technician did have to press kind of hard to get a good look, but it wasn't painful - just ever so slightly uncomfortable. She took a bunch of measurements of the baby at different angles and saved a bunch of images. She then explained that the NT measurement was 1.3mm which was in the ideal range. She also said that the nasal bones were present and looked good - apparently absent nasal bones is another marker of Down syndrome, which I didn't know prior to yesterday (thought it was just the NT measurement). After the ultrasound they did bloodwork and I should have the results back within a week - but based on the ultrasound I am feeling very positive and can relax now!
@thecavfamily so happy to hear your appointments went well too!
We got to hear the heart beat and it was so so so so amazing to hear. I forgot to ask what the heart rate was but my midwife said it was a nice healthy heart beat. We also got to see the little bean and I thought I was going to cry. It actually looks like a little human. My next appointment will be with the lab to draw blood for genetic testing in two weeks. Unfortunately I will miss the NT scan because I will be out of town. The midwife said that if I miss that window, then I won't get the scan but will get the blood draw at 10 weeks and again at 16 weeks. I don't have another appointment with the midwife until November.
I'm so glad everyone had good appointments!
Went for our 12 week appointment today. They couldn't find the heartbeat using the Doppler so she did an ultrasound with the portable machine. Baby is not measuring at 12 weeks, and the picture was not clear enough to tell if there is a heartbeat.
I am waiting in limbo now. They could not get me in for an US at the hospital today, so I am going in tomorrow morning.
Prayers are appreciated
