I have another U/S to do, as baby was still not cooperative last month to get his spine measured, which was attempt #2. They have said that they don't see any concerns, but just can't get a good reading due to how he's been sitting. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! That is at 11:45am.
After that, I sit around for a bit and then do the lovely Glucose at 1:10p, but could maybe get in earlier since I am already there.
Monthly appointment at 1:30 (or whenever I get in since I am there) with the usual stuff. And then will do the blood draw for the glucose afterwards... I am guessing anyways.
I will be SUPER hungry during all of that since I will have breakfast around 9ish I am sure, and then won't eat anything until after it's all done. Maybe I could bring some saltine crackers with, or something bland with no sugar. I just hope that doesn't make me too queasy for the blood draws, since I already hate that stuff.

I have my 28 (really 29) week appointment this Thursday. Should be fairly uneventful other than getting the Rhogam and TDAP shots. Good luck ladies at your appointments this week!
@Kacie209, hope baby boy cooperates for the ultrasound and that your glucose test goes well.
I have a regular OB appointment tomorrow with the glucose test. Nothing to exciting. However, my next appointment after that is an u/s and I'm excited to see baby again!

I have my regular check-ups on Thursday this week, DH has to come because I have to pick up my DS on the way and he HATES watching me lay down on the table, lol. I have to get TDAP and maybe flu shot, though dunno if they will have it yet. They are going to measure to see if I am still measuring 5 ish weeks ahead, and if so I'll have an ultrasound to see if they need to change my due date. I feel like I am MASSIVE-so of course I sit around wondering if I am really 31 weeks instead of 29 and having closure would be great.
I had been wondering about group b strep and a quick google search shows that isn't for another month so I won't ask about that quite yet.
I had a regular appointment this morning, with TDAP and flu vaccine. BP was on the high end (140/90) and iron was low (boo supplements!). Ultrasound and appointment in 2 weeks. Any other ladies with high BP having an ultrasound at 30 weeks to check for growth? My OB said it was standard, but this was the first I'd heard them mention it.
Regular appointment Wednesday. I'll get the results of my glucose test I took a week and a half ago. If I failed wouldn't they have called me to let me know I needed to schedule the 3 hour one? I dunno I'm just freaking out about it, and I know I shouldn't.

I did the TDap shot and BOY is my arm SORE. Going to make for an interesting sleep tonight I bet.
I also got a due date update. So, way back in the beginning at my 6 week appointment, the doctor gave a due date of 12/12. I started to then see my specialist who, at around 13/14 weeks, changed it to 12/5 because baby was measuring bigger. A couple of weeks ago, Oliver was back to the measurements that put him due around 12/12 again. I left that day thinking I'm either 28 or 29 weeks (I've been thinking 29 since that 13/14 week visit). TODAY my OB measured my belly and he said it's a bit more like 30, based on that number.
I MEAN GUUUUUISE. Can we just lock that date down already?!
We also discussed a scheduled C-Section, took my iron levels again (they've been high, but today are back to a nice average 12.9), I peed on my hand more than in the cup (you'd think by now modern medicine would have developed a better way for pregnant women to do this. Big belly you can't see beyond + stream of pee you can't see to aim well + tiny @$$ cup = DISASTER), and learned I've gained about 8 pounds since last month. #killinit
Thaaaaaaaaaat's all folks.
EDITED TO UPDATE: my doc and the specialist have now reached a consensus and say that my due date is 12/5 and will not change again. This means I could schedule my c-section for any time after 11/28. Yay for solid answers!
Sitting at my OB office now trying to not vomit up the glucola. And having palpitations from the sugar influx. I guzzled it to get it over with and now I'm thinking I should have paced it over the allotted 5 minutes. I have yet to pee in a cup or have my fundal height measured, they just don't do it routinely. BP is great though so I know the floaters aren't high blood pressure.
On Thursday, I have a follow up to my appointment from last week. My cervix has shortened too much and now I'm on bed rest. So on Thursday, they are doing the FFN test and another cervical length check.
I had growth scans during my last pregnancy at 28, 32, and 36 weeks due to high bp.
@swhiddon33 I have peed in a cup like, 5 times this pregnancy because i had a kidney issue and they keep checking it...I have never had a clean catch. Like, I cannot avoid hitting the side of my thigh and then the results come back "unknown contaminants." You'd think I'd get better as we go...
So my OB is useless. Basically ignored me when I brought up the disabling pelvic pain. Told me to see an eye doctor for the floaters. I know she has a checklist of all the things she wants to discuss but given the fact that I had to remind the nurse 3 times to give me the Rhogam, I'm pretty sure her checklist is worthless. oh and I somehow got lucky enough to get 6 needle sticks. I feel like a pin cushion. Glucose screening better come back negative or next time I'm going to reflux all over her shoes.
30 week check in this week - OB said they'll just listen to the fetal doppler and give me the TDAP shot. This will be my last appointment with his practice - I'm switching to a hospital near me that has a midwives program and much lower rates of interventions. I haven't told my OB yet and I'm terrible at delivering bad news so I'm not quite sure how to put it. There really are two main factors: 1) I want to try for as natural a birth as I can, while still having access to a hospital setting if shit goes down and I change my mind (or if I have complications), and 2) it's half the distance from my house - 20 minute drive as opposed to 40. Although my OB said he was supportive of attempting the natural route, that hospital has a 97% epidural rate and a 42% c-section rate. So I'm switching. I might just tell him it's because of the distance and keep it simple.
Other than that, I saw a chiropractor yesterday and will have a follow up tomorrow for my hip pain. This is only feasible because my insurance covers it and it's only a $25 co pay. I've been doing yoga but I've started having issues with my hips that are preventing me from sleeping at night, so I'm hoping she can help. Her practice claims that women who receive chiropractic care have 25% shorter labors. I have no idea where that stat came from but if there's even a chance it's true I'm game!
I just left the perinatologist. Michael is measuring 2 weeks ahead, and weighing in at 3lbs3oz. However, he was in a difficult position to where they couldn't get any measurements or pictures of the front part of his body.
@gowenc when I left my Last OB- I never said anything...... (whoops). I canceled an appointment online and one of the options was "switching provider" those are some crazy statistics- sounds like a great choice to switch!
I have my 1 hour glucose test and regular appointment on Thursday morning, and my flu shot tomorrow afternoon. My OB doesn't want me to get the TDap shot until I am at least 32 weeks along. I think this will be my last "monthly" appointment, and then I'll be starting the bi-monthly appointments.
I have my regular appointment with my glucose tolerance test tomorrow. Fun times. Next Monday I have a u/s to check growth. At my a/s the doc felt like she was measuring large so he wanted another one. I'm glad to get to see her, but nervous about it.
I have an appt tomorrow with a growth ultrasound. I'm being seen every 2 weeks now and will get a growth U/S at each appt. I'm excited to see these boys. They are kicking and elbowing me so hard my dad saw movement from across the room this weekend.
I had an appointment on Monday which included a growth scan (since I have a history of pre-e and gestational hypertension and now have GD) and the baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead and weighs roughly 3 pounds, which the doctor warned me might end in a C-section due to shoulder dystocia. So that was scary since I have not had a C-section before.
The nurse also gave me 3 shots, TDAP, Flu and RhoGam. My arms are SORE from the TDAP and Flu which made sleeping very difficult last night and a very grumpy phoebecar today at work. I go back again in 2 weeks for a regular check-up and hope the rate of growth slows down a bit for this little one!
Just had my 28 wk appointment, and got the rhogam shot in my buttcheek, which totally twitched as soon as it was poked. Baby is measuring ahead, but the midwife didn't want to tell me by how much. That was weird. Still waiting to schedule my RCS.
My appointment yesterday went well. Everything is measuring well, baby's hr is good, my blood pressure is good. The cherry on top, I even peed IN the cup, it was a miracle. They did scare me when they couldn't find the heart beat. The doc said that one had been acting up, went and got a different doppler and found it right away. Yeah... they should probably not use the one and scare people... Other than that, I had my glucose test and I'm hoping everything went fine with it.

Third times was a charm with baby boy... they were able to get a spine measurement. So, that was nice. He was again, chill, but in a better position for a view. They saw no concerns, and he's weighing in at 2lbs. 211 oz and his HB was 154. They did some 3-D shots, but his arms and the umbilical cord were in the way to g a great shot of his head, but it was still cute to see.
Glucose went OK. I got the orange flavor, and that didn't seem so bad. I was super full afterwards.
My monthly checkup was normal. My OB made a comment on my weight gain (close to 10lbs since my last monthly appointment), which I told her I had been watching. My feet/ankles are so swollen, so she thinks it may be water retention but still wanted me to keep up my work outs (which I have been when I can), and ditch salt/crappy food when possible... eat smaller meals more times a day and more whole foods, etc.
Went back after for the blood draw and now will just wait for the results. I had 3 scrambled eggs with cheese and plain sausage for breakfast, and then before my test (about an hour before), I went to the cafeteria and made a small salad with mainly shredded cheese and a boiled egg.. and a small amount of ranch dressing since that had the least amount of sugar.

OB appt went well yesterday, had my GD testing done so I should know my results by the end of the week. I'm measuring at 28 weeks (one week ahead) and the baby had a strong heartbeat of 135 bpm. I also got my TDAP vaccine, I felt like a pin cushion leaving that place!! Next appt is in 3 weeks, then I'll start seeing them every 2 weeks. Time is flying!

I posted too soon with my appointment update. I checked my online portal information to see if any tests had come back, and Glucose was in there (and actually within a half hour of the blood draw). I passed! I was at a 102, and it needed to be less than 140. Sigh of relief here!
I am mainly a sigh of relief as I hate blood draws, so to be able to avoid those makes me happy. If I had to do the 3-hour, I would have survived and known it was for the best, while secretly trying not to pass out.

OMG you guise I PASSED THE GLUCOSE TEST!!! I got an 85! So stoked. I'm slightly anemic but doc wasn't too concerned (was off normal measurement by .5). I've put on 9.5 pounds since my last visit, which doc said was also fine since I only put on .5 pounds last time. All the weight is Squish so I'm good. Measured fundal height was 28.5 and heartbeat was 140 bpm. Love how smooth things are going so far (knock on wood).

The midwife I saw instead of my busy dr wouldn't tell me the fundal height cm measurement yesterday. She had the inches side up, and put her finger at almost 14 inches. So I was thinking about this, thought it was weird she wouldn't tell me, but said 'it's within normal range'. Grabbed my measuring tape: 13 inches is 33 cm, in other words even though I'm 28.5 weeks, I'm measuring at 33 weeks. Awesome. I thought I was crazy for feeling so huge. But I am actually huge, not just my imagination.
Had my 28 (29) appt. this afternoon. Got a quick peek at my little girl with the bedside u/s. She is looking good, everything measuring perfect good HR. Pee/BP/weight looking good for momma too. I got my tdap shot.

Had my '28' week appt today. Growth ultrasound showed the babies right around the same weight at 2.2 something. They're both measuring 56%, which I'm happy with. BP was 124/80, which is wonderful for me - especially at 2:30 in the afternoon! Doc said that if things keep going this way he wouldn't be surprised if I went into labor on my own - meaning they don't see the complications they expected to at this point. That can change very quickly, but for today all looks good!!
No change on the due date! I am kind of bummed because it was a ROUGH work day and I was like, please tell me I get to leave earlier. I am also worried that the stress of my job will make me go into labor early and I won't be able to give birth at my hospital...I have to be 37 weeks to give birth there. Got my TDAP, but other than that nothing exciting!
