How many months have you been TTC? 1 month

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

Tracking temps, used OPKs, timed sex, tracking fertility signs, I also take baby aspirin due to my antiphospholipid antibodies and PNV, magnesium, fish oil, probiotics and DH started taking multis consistently

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

1 DD- 2 years, DH and I have a photography company and during the week I am a private chef for an investment firm and coach a club swim team. I love to workout (crossfit and swimming) and compete (Spartan, triathlons, crossfit, open water swimming). Love the outdoors.

  • TW--molar pregnancy, miscarriage

Ages: Both my husband and I are 29 and we have a 2yo DD

How many months have you been TTC? This is our first month officially trying for what will be our rainbow. In November 2015, I had a complete molar pregnancy, which isn't a regular miscarriage. We were told to wait a year to TTC and I accidentally got pregnant in February, but that was a natural miscarriage at 5 weeks (had they not been testing my blood for the molar pregnancy follow-up, I'd probably not even have thought I was pregnant, just late. Or doctor have us an ok to start TTC a couple months before the year was up, so yeah...

What are you doing to get knocked up? Sex every other day. For all three times I got pregnant before, all it took was that for one month and we conceived. So hoping it goes the same this time around (test on Wednesday!)

Tell us about yourself! I'm a SAHM to my 2yo DD and I babysit a friend's daughter who's a year younger a few days a week. I love DD to pieces and spoil her more than I mean to (but still not bad) ! DH is my high school sweetheart--almost 13.5 years together now. I love walking/running, eating, reading, and Netflix-binging

  • @googlemd out of curiosity what does genetic toxicology entail? Sounds fascinating (to nerdy biologist nurse me)!
    Welcome everyone :)
    Sorry for the delayed response.

With genetic toxicology we basically run assays to determine if pharmaceutical drugs cause damage to DNA, and what what kind of damage is being done. Most of the drugs we look at are either very early in development ( determining whether it is even worth putting money in to develop the compound) or they are metabolites that are found later in development/clinical trials.
