@leilac I personally don't take Advil anymore at my REs recommendation. It can delay/impact ovulation. That being said, I think if you are only taking it during the very beginning of your cycle and if Tylenol is not working for you, then it's better to take Advil than be in pain.

@tripledaggerWed95976 Good luck with your

Being a ginger, for sure. I have long curly red hair
and loads of freckles so I get a lot of comments/stares. To me, it would make
more sense that I would hide in the North anyways, away from the sun.
@adirat thanks for your help. I am not positive about it either.. I have never gotten a positive OPK yet though. I do know some women don't get them and maybe I am one of them. In your opinion, if my temp is higher tomorrow, CD17 would have been O date? I guess I'm confused on how it might go from here.
@soemthingclever what happened with the Zika thing? Did you travel or did your partner? I travel a lot for work but have not yet been to an affected area just curious.

@CrystalPDX Do you know what your short cycle was caused by? Was it in the Luteal Phase? My FF is doing the same thing and has given me such a wide window. What kind of teas are you using?
TTC our first child I'm 26, DH is 32 Paraguard removed August 2016 Using OPKs, FF, Preseed, Temping, CM
WAYDTGKU: So. Many. Things. Started Mucinex and cbadv OPK's last couple days... got the Astroglide TTC this time instead of Preseed, since it was so much cheaper, and I was having trouble finding just a tube of Preseed (with no applicators). Well, turns out this is a box of pre-filled applicators! Doh!
R/R: Doc started me on two things to help regulate my cortisol levels throughout the day, but so far I only have the PM one on hand. Will be ordering the AM one as well shortly. Then, if this is not our cycle, we will add low-dose naltrexone next cycle. Feels good to have a plan. Plus waiting 7-10 business days for DH's SA to come back...
CS/Q: Nah, my first few AF temps were taken at wonky times, so that's a bit rough out of the gate, but now FF seems to have accepted my 6AM temping time, and that's a bit better.
GTKY: I can legit sing Opera, though I mostly just sing at Church lately and haven't performed in a while. I HAAATE when people find out and treat it like a party trick though, so I try not to mention it too much... at least until next time I'm getting ready for a concert/show. ;)
@GingerJams It's a tough call, compounded by the open circles. My advice would be to do your best to get consistent temp times for the next several days, and follow the sage addage: when in doubt, HIO ;) you may get another patch of fertile cm, or even a positive opk yet! Or your temps could show a sustained rise and you're good. But wonky times will slways make it tougher to nail down and can make a chart look almost annovulatory, when it really might not be... GL!
@TalesOfASocialIntrovert I usually get a big temp drop on CD2 and my temps stay low until O. For your OPKs, it could be an early false surge. I also find that I have to make sure I am holding my urine long enough to see it darken -- if I drink too much water, it disappears even between dark OPKs.
@GingerJams I experience darkening OPKs over 2-3 days, but I only get truly positive OPKs on one day (typically in the morning of the day I ovulate, but not FMU) and if I am holding my urine for 2-3 hours. So it's possible you missed it. Nothing abnormal about that -- some women just have short surges and you missed a couple days in there according to your chart.
Yes, if you have a higher temp tomorrow, I would vote for CD17 like FF indicates. But because you said your CD20 temp is only high because you threw out your original, low CD20 temp, I wouldn't count on it at this point.
Also, I would say there's nothing to worry about generally -- based on your sig, I'm guessing this is your first cycle post-IUD? So this may be a weird cycle and you'll normalize later.
@BusinessWife I hope you're able to see some positive movement with your cortisol levels. Sorry if I missed you saying this, but does your doctor know why your cortisol is off?
@adirat. Thanks! Nothing specific really, just longterm-enough stress, enough so that they have become flip-flopped i.e. lower than the curve in the AM (when they should be at their highest), and then increasing till they are fully above-normal high at bedtime :/
@tripledaggerWed95976@adirat I feel like this is a mess. First chart I've ever done and DD has been all over the place on when she wakes in the morning, thus, my wake up times have been all over (basically all the open circles). I did see a tiny amount of EWCM one day but then a ton the second day I marked it (maybe TMI but it was just hanging out of me when I peed). But here you go...
@bumpybump No worries about TMI. I get that too. If your CD15 temp is high due to drinking on CD14, then my guess would be CD16 O with CD18 2dpo fallback rise. If you see another higher temp tomorrow, then I'd feel pretty confident about this. Feel free to ping me tomorrow if you want another CS with tomorrow's temp
@adirat I might be marking drinking wrong. I mark it for the morning after having a drink. So I actually drank Monday night (CD13). I thought you marked drinking when your temp would be affected (following day temp-CD14). So same with CD4, I actually drank the night prior. Guessing I should change that then?

Wow that's a difficult chart! when I read through this, I initially agreed with @adirat but then I read your reply to @adirat which changed my opinion. I would now say it doesn't appear that u have O'd yet :-( the CD 16 temp drop is what makes me say that. You don't have 3 straight days of a thermal shift yet. HOWEVER, erratic temping time can drastically change some women's BBT.... For example- if my son wakes me up at 4:30, my temp will be at least .5 degrees less than if I wake up only an hour later at 5:30. Unfortunately only time will tell :-( FX for u!
ETA: did u by any chance wake up a lot earlier than normal on CD 16 to cause that lower temp?
@adirat I did a quick search and have only found people saying they mark it the night they drank (I probably should have searched initially). So here's an updated one. @tripledaggerWed95976 look at this one instead.

Hmmm that CD 16 is still bugging me. It's not far enough above ur coverline :-(
@bumpybump. I agree that is tough to call bc if your temp had been at the normal time today, perhaps you could have seen a rise for O on CD 16 or 17. The textbook thing would be to see O w/i 12-72 hours (longest) from the first positive opk, with O ocurring on the last day if fertile/peak-type cm. Of course it's not always so neat and tidy, but I don't definitively see O yet either, fwiw, but see what happens if those temps go up and FF may give you CH for CD17, or like @adirat said, CD16 is also a definite possibility. Not sure though if the first or second post-O temp is an open circle whether it will give you solid or dotted CH tho.
I remember why I avoid WTO. I want to respond to everyone, but it's just too overwhelming. There are so many posts, plus I mobile bump. It makes me feel like a failure.
@adirat@Sirius37 Thanks! It makes me feel better that you recognize me.
@beachbunnyxo123 Those in-laws sound like morons. I've waited YEARS for the timing to be right to have a baby. It really pisses me off when other people intentionally get pregnant when they can't take care of a baby without other people (your DH's family) taking care of them.
@leilac Ibuprofen is the only thing for cramps. Tylenol is useless. My OBGYN says it's because the uterus is a smooth muscle and responds better to ibuprofen. I don't have an answer about using it during af, though
@GingerJams We're leaving for Jamaica tomorrow. It's an active Zika transmission area. Assuming we don't get infected, we'll wait 8 weeks after we get back to ttc. That puts us in December territory.

*dirty lurker* @saphiresweetie88 I started Prenatals as soon as I started trying. It's actually good for you (per physicians) because it builds up in your body before baby or if you get really bad morning sickness.
@SaphireSweetie88 my doctor told me in May that as soon as I was serious about TTC and very much the same day I got paraguard IUD removed that I should start taking prenatals. I have also read some people get on them a few months before TTC. In my case, I have been taking them since early Julyand we just actively TTC this month. (Wanted to try last month but were apart during fertile window). My doctor told me I could take regular prenatals during TTC and then make sure I get the ones with DHA once I did conceive. I switched to DHA as soon as I got Paragaurd out (early August).
They won't hurt you one bit, I take mine at night and I never notice them.

@SaphireSweetie88 Last round of TTC I took PNVs the entire 9 months we tried. I very much credited my consistency early on with them for adjusting well once I was KUd. Also, did you know that in Idaho, ketchup and mayo mixed is actually called "fry sauce?"

@saphiresweetie88 I take Naturemade + DHA. It's only 1 pill a day which I loved! A lot of them are 3 pills a day. I have never had a super upset stomach with it, but then again I take it right before I go to sleep so I wouldn't notice.
@SaphireSweetie88 I take NatureMade multi + DHA. DH wanted me to get some version that's all organic for way more $$ but I decided these were just fine and more affordable. Plus, his main reasoning for the organic was the coating I guess on some of these brands can irritate your stomach and/or make it harder for absorption...this one seems to be fine.
@SaphireSweetie88 I started pnv when I started ttc and I'm so glad I did. It took me 4 different brands to find one that didn't make me sick. It didn't matter when I took them. I finally found one that works for me! I'm so glad I figured it out and didn't have to go through that while pregnant.
@bumpybump Thanks for letting me know that PNV helped when you did get KU. I'm definitely starting to think I am going to take some. Also I did not know that about Idaho. That's awesome! It's awesome sauce (Sorry I couldn't help it)
@GingerJams I'm not completely sold on O just yet. I wonder if you put 3 high temps in if it moves your CHs? I would say keep taking OPKs and HIO in the meantime just in case. Keep posting your chart I'm curious to see where it goes!
@SaphireSweetie88 I take vitamin code garden of life raw prenatal. It is the iron in vitamins that make me sick. Even the rainbow lights made me sick. Raw prenatals have a form of iron that works for me. Unfortunately it is one you have to take 3 times a day but I think that is why I don't get sick. There is always some in my system but never enough to make me sick if that makes sense.
@tripledaggerWed95976 I just saw your eta. Unfortunately, CD 16 was not early. My times from CD13-CD17 were between 7:00 - 7:30. I'm a dork and wrote them all out . I do know I sleep with my mouth open a lot.
Thanks! Yes that does make sense about why 3 times a day doesn't make you sick. I usually am okay when I do have to take meds and don't have any issues with my stomach. I will definitely keep this brand in mind in case I do get some issues on the others. Not sure which brand I am going to go with yet but I was looking them up online and I am leaning towards Nature Made.

@EL824 @GingerJams Thanks! I am going to look into that brand.
