What size is baby? An acorn squash (seems like he should be bigger than that though!)
Upcoming appointments? Regular check up on 9/29, until then waiting for the ultrasound office to call me to schedule so they can check baby's size since my GD diagnosis. Looking forward to that since its been so long!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Super irritated w my job as it is lately, but the old ladies I work w don't make it any better. "Ooh honey you are really growing!" Uh yeah this belly is attached to me I think I've noticed its size, thank you. Also your ass is really growing ya old schmuck and you're not pregnant! Cue the unnecessary pregnancy aggression that I have no more control over!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've had twizzlers on my mind for like a week now. Of course I'm not going anywhere near them but.. I'm still gonna think about it!
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? Has to be the monkeys! Specifically I find orangutans to be the most adorable/intriguing critters and if I could climb in there for a cuddle with one I totally would!
October 4 is my next checkup and glucose test. Oh joy.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
I was beginning to worry that my sciatica was going to be consistent until the baby is born, but it has started to come and go some. I'll take it!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
My main symptom is that pretty everything annoys me! Ha. People, traffic, the dog, food, technology. Everything is annoying. I just want to eat a lot of food in general. I've been craving sweets but can't eat too many without my stomach feeling weird.
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? I love the polar bears! I know they're crazy dangerous but they just look so fun and nice when they're swimming around. I'm also jealous of how they can sprawl out on a rock in the sun whenever they please.

What size is baby? A tropical coconut, as opposed to the smaller ones?
Upcoming appointments?
Tuesday, on to the 2 week appointments now. Which is great, I have a few questions...
Rants/Raves/Questions? In both ultrasounds that I've had (20 & 27 weeks) my little guy had his feet up by his face. He's in a frank breech position, and my stupid self looked up frank breech and saw all these pictures of babies with leg problems because they were frank breech. In the womb for so long. So now I'm all worried that my dude is going to have leg problems when born.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I don't want ice cream in any form, strange. I want cookies, Danish Kringle, and steak. Still recovering from a yeast infection, thanks to the glucose drink. It set in about 24 hrs after the test. My back hurts, my pelvis is swollen and painful, my belly button hurts, I often feel like I can't breathe. But knowing that I get my baby at the end of this makes it all tolerable. Plus I'm trying to enjoy that he's all mine right now.
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? Elephants! They travel in matriarchal packs, with one head female in charge. It's like a bunch of sisters, aunts, cousins, all the girls stick together. I love that, and that they're really smart and empathetic. Unfortunately our zoo sent its elephants to live in an elephant sanctuary in OK. Thanks protesters. I know they're probably happier, but I really miss seeing them at the Woodland Park Zoo.
What size is baby? Gizmo...I have a Gremlin in my belly (that's a gremlin, right?) lol. @mforinger I hear you on the weird sizing thing...but maybe they mean in POUNDS its acorn squash sized? I am currently roasting an acorn squash and I bet its around 2lbs or more. Its definitely only softball sized though.
Upcoming appointments? Next Thursday! I am interested to see if I am still measuring ahead, because it would be nice to know if my due date is changing to earlier since....
Rants/Raves/Questions? ....I am freakin' uncomfortable. I dunno if its teaching during this stage in pregnancy r running around after a 1 year old at this stage in pregnancy or both but I am tired and my body is sore all the time! People also keep asking me if "I'm sure I'm due in December" because I'm "so big!" Doesn't help my feelings since I am measuring large, I have gained the same amount of weight as last pregnancy already, and I just feel generally huge.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? My lady bits have been a bit of a problem lately and that's clearing up so woohoo to that! I don't really feel like eating all that much and get full real quick but am somehow still gaining 1 to 2 lbs every single appt, which sucks bc I am every two weeks.
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? Red Panda! I think because I used to live in DC and so when you went to the zoo, seeing the red panda out was a BIG DEAL. They were like, never out, so it was quite exciting to catch it. I also like the otters. Both are super adorbs.
@SmashJam I feel you on the weight gain. I've been gaining 1 lb a week steadily, but now that we are in the 3rd tri, that's when I really pack it on. I'm a little terrified. And people don't help with their "December?!?! You're so huge!!!" Comments. I'm just going to take a note from some of the other ladies and start saying November.
Rants/Raves/Questions? i will rant about symptoms below!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? ugh heartburn. all. night. long. sore vagina. waking up in the middle of the night and cant go back to sleep for like two hours. cant eat much without feeling full and then i'm hungry again half an hour later. just generally annoyed at everything, like @beff12. feeling unproductive and restless since I'm on modified bed rest and cant work.
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? I like to watch the tigers, they look so powerful and beautiful. Our closest zoo also had a baby giraffe last year, so that was pretty cute
Upcoming appointments? On Monday we have a growth scan with the high risk doctor, can't wait to see the little dude again!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so itching to get our nursery started! Next week my in laws come in to come help paint and then we can order furniture, I CANNOT WAIT!!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I say this every week, but I am reallllly slowing down and becoming breathless super easily.
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? Gotta love the monkeys and penguins

We had two this past week- one for my 28 week check and GT. At this appointment we talked about some bleeding/spotting I've been having and she scheduled an U/S for Friday to check cervix length and placenta placement. Both looked great! I have a normal checkup in 2 weeks and then they will do a repeat scan at 32 weeks to ensure my placenta still looks good!
Rants/Raves/Questions?
I hate my DH right now. Why won't he go get me food at 9:30pm?
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
craving- carbs!
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? I love seeing the penguins!
What size is baby? Kale? I feel like that is huge?
Upcoming appointments? Endocrinologist tomorrow for my monthly visit. Next midwife appointment is 10/6 and it's my glucose test.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We had our first shower yesterday - this is the last time we are traveling up to the inlaws, who live 3 hours away, so it's a bit early. It was good, nice and small. Only the grandmother-in-law (great gram-to-be) was able to sneak in a belly rub. I really am not looking forward to the belly rub. Also, the comments of how small I look. I am almost 6 feet tall. I will never look like a pumpkin, but trust me, my fundus is 26 cm, so I am on target.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I second all of the above comments where I am suffering from an aversion to stupid comments. On a positive note, my gigantic Boppy body pillow might actually be working....
GTKY (stolen from Tuesday/Wednesday): What's your favorite zoo animal? hmm...Capybara!
