Symptoms feel like they're declining

4 weeks and 2 days. Since I found out last Friday I was pregnant, I've felt really pregnant, sore boobs, fatigue, headache, bloating, nausea. Since yesterday though I really don't feel them anymore. Is it possible for symptoms to come and go, my body get used to them, or am I about to have a miscarriage? I had my levels tested on Monday and Thursday this week and they went up the right amount, but this has me freaking out again. I kind of want to call my doctor on Monday to get my levels tested again, but I also don't want to be the crazy hypochondriac lady.

Re: Symptoms feel like they're declining

  • It's normal for symptoms to come and go. Some women don't have symptoms at all and have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Unless you have had spotting/bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much.
  • From what I've heard that's very normal. I haven't had many symptoms at all aside from a bit of bloating and I'm 6weeks 5days (no sore boobs or nausea) the ladies on here have helped to ease my worries and I hope you can find the same comfort!

this is my first pregnancy and I expected to feel nothing but happiness and excitement but im just full of anxiety! Seems like we are all in the same boat!

  • I was so easy going with my first pregnancy, then when we started trying for our 2nd child I had a miscarriage and it's turned me into a total basket case with this pregnancy, I just want to relax, but I feel like I read a 1000 things into each slightest change.
  • For now I'd focus on taking the chance to eat something or exercise. I have had better days, but mostly miserable ones. I was just glad I was able to eat a salad once this week  :)
  • Been there @heatherwilson321... have hope! My symptoms also dropped off for most of today, but then they roared back on my way home from work. I was petrified all day and even had a crazy mc dream last night. I also had a mc before, so you're not a basket case (or at least you're not alone in feeling like one!) <3
  • This is my first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare to but my symptoms are very mild and come and go. Trust me, you aren't the only one worrying over every little thing (or lack of things!) I didn't realize what a ball of anxiety I would become as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I'm trying to tell myself to just relax and enjoy it but that is easier said than done!
  • With my first pregnancy, I had some symptoms weeks 4-6, then nothing the rest of the entire pregnancy. It was uneventful, but resulted in my healthy daughter, who is now a happy, thriving 2.5 year-old!

With my second pregnancy, I had tons of symptoms including horrible nausea 24/7. That pregnancy ended in m/c.

So, symptoms or lack of does not mean anything. I think it varies with each person and, in my case, with each individual pregnancy.

  • I posted about this a couple days ago. My symptoms came back and then I got real morning sickness. Now the morning sickness is gone today. I guess it just comes and goes. I've had losses, too, so I'm also on edge. I guess I need to relax a bit.

  • I'm 4 weeks, 2 days. I had symptoms like bloating and stomach upset for a few days leading up to 14 days post ovulation. Now I feel fine for the most part but have no other warning signs so I'm just going with it. With my first, I had some mild nausea around weeks 6-9, but not much else until you can start feeling fetal movement later on. First kid was fine.

I guess I figure there's not much I can do at this early stage of pregnancy to prevent a loss if it's going to happen. So I'm just going to focus on that as far as I know, I'm still pregnant today and look forward to the end of first trimester.

  • TW:
Mine came and went the 4th week too and then this week (7th) I don't have nausea in the morning anymore but it gets really bad in the evening. I've still had sensitive nipples though. However, with my last pregnancy they also went away permanently and didn't come back, which was a sign of a mmc. I don't want to worry you but I would try to figure out over the next couple of days if it's mostly a couple of symptoms gone or if you have lost all of them. I've had waves this time around, which freaks me out, but my symptoms have also been pretty mild and always come back. Last time, I felt like my symptoms were revving up but over two days they became super mild and then completely disappeared. Also, the fact that you had levels checked just this week and had a normal rise makes me think that you are probably okay and you'll see your symptoms coming back. GL!

  • I'm 4 weeks and 4 days today and I feel like the few symptoms I had have disappeared since yesterday. I'm just going to keep calm and hope for the best.
  • Totally normal to come and go. I had little to no symptoms with my first two. And this one my symptoms didn't really hit until 6 weeks.

I had horrific M/S with my first two, from like 4 weeks on. We're talking hospitalization, zofran pumps, the works. I lost 60 lbs with my first and 45 lbs with my second. (I'm overweight, so weight loss isn't necessarily a bad thing ) This time, my chief complaints are sore nipples, severe exhaustion, slow moving bowels, headaches from the hormones, and constantly feeling like I'm congested. So far, no nausea. I'm praying it stays that way. I would really, really like to enjoy a pregnancy for once.

edit to add: I'm 6+2 today
  • I've spent all day googling/worrying about this same thing. I'm also 4+2 and had been having nausea, super sore boobs, and back pain. Now my boobs are barely sore and that's it. Having had two chemical pregnancies in the last 4 months, I'm very nervous this time around. It's nice to see that other ladies are going through the same thing and that it can be normal. I can only hope mine come back in full force soon!
  • I've found that symtoms don't become consistent until after 6 weeks. I have some symptoms (especially exhaustion and pain) but nothing major yet. I understand the fear of loss though so hugs <3 Prayers that you're just lucky and are gonna have a chill first tri
