@sarag I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and really only in the last week have I been feeling the baby consistently. It is my third baby, but my first AP, and I only feel this babe very low.
I was told at my anatomy scan on Friday that I have an anterior placenta, too. I started feeling movement at around 17/18 weeks I think, but it was very light and infrequent. I'm pretty sure I only knew what it was because this is my second pregnancy. DH hasn't felt LO yet and he definitely had by this point last time. I usually feel her a few times a day, mostly at night, but it's nothing like with DD,who moved forcefully and often. I definitely have to keep reminding myself that, for having an anterior placenta, it's pretty early for me to be feeling much and I'm lucky to feel anything at all!
Just had my 20wk anatomy scan today. Also have AP. They didn't specify exactly where it was. Baby girl was also very lazy. Was sitting on one of her feet and would not move. They had me Lay on left side, then right side, being knees up to chest and nothing! Nurse joked that I will probably have a very cuddly baby!
I'm 22 and a half weeks. In the past few days, he has become very active. When I'm not moving, I can consistently feel kicks. My husband has felt them a few times and I have a video of being able to see the kicks.
I have an AP (confirmed at the 20 wk AS) that is sort of high up. I feel less movement with this one than I did at this point with my son, and it is all low down. It is also different movement - with my son I felt typical punches and kicks, with this one I feel more swooshy movements as she somersaults around in there.
I can finally feel movement at 21 weeks with mine! It is not consistent throughout the day but I do feel him at least once per day. The movements are fairly light though and I think if this had been my first I would not be totally convinced that they are baby yet.
@sarag I'm 20w3d with AP and havnt really felt anything! I have another US tomorrow, so I'm going to try to coordinate visual kicks with actually feeling a kick, it's my first pregnancy so I don't even know what to feel for! What I do feel are little bubbles or shifts, which I assume is bébé! Excited to get to 21-22 weeks!
Wait. Are APs dangerous? Increased risk of placental abruption? I refuse to google. I am almost 22 weeks with #4 and maybe feel the baby kick once or twice a day. I have an AP, but no one has ever mentioned it's dangerous.

As far as I've heard (and asked at the doctor), AP has no dangers. My doctor just told me I will probably feel the baby more at my back and lower this time around.

No, there is no increased risk associated with AP. The only risk is a low lying placenta which can happen if it posterior or anterior. (Placenta previa)
23 weeks today... still not feeling movements. I am anxiously waiting for a kick!! Sometimes I feel a little "bubble" when I'm sitting down, but not sure what that is, as I also have felt a few in my upper stomach, so I don't think it would have been a kick.
I have an AP as well but this is my 2nd pregnancy. First one I felt flutters at 16 weeks with no AP, but this time around my OB told me I had AP and I still felt movement at 16 weeks. The only major difference I'm noticing is that I have SI pain, which I never had during my 1st pregnancy. I wonder if that's at all related? My twin sister also had AP with her son, but was able to deliver without any complications.

Funny you mention that with the SI pain. I had it with my first 3 babes. This time I have an AP and NO SI!
