I'm at a new OB practice from last time since we moved out of state. I had an ultrasound today at 6 weeks (all looked good so far) due to having multiple losses before. My OB said my next ultrasound is the anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks! That seems crazy to me. My last OB always had one around 10 to 12 weeks. What does your OB usually do? I can't imagine going so long without another check considering how early I am now.

For #2 (midwife practice), they just did the anatomy scan, though I also opted for one of those screenings (for Down's syndrome and maybe some other stuff) that gets an ultrasound earlier, which was 13 weeks.
Now I'm old, but I expect that I can look forward to just the anatomy scan again unless I opt in to additional screening like the one I did last time. I do wonder if they'll recommend something like that, though, given that now I'm 35+.
That said, I'm only having the anatomy scan. Once the baby is big enough (probably by your 12 week appt) they'll check the heartbeat with doppler at every appointment and that's really all you need to make sure baby is doing well along with the anatomy scan unless you're high risk and/or have some specific need for one.

With DS I had a dating ultrasound just to be sure and then nothing until the anatomy scan. Once the anatomy scan was irregular I had ALL the ultrasounds. 4 more anatomy scans, level II u/s, and then weekly ones until he was born (he was born with a heart condition and a syndrome).
With DD2 I was followed by high risk because of everything with DS. I was given a dating ultrasound and then I opted for the NT scan so got another one around 12-14 weeks. Then the anatomy scan and I also got in office ultrasounds at every appt.
Technically, if your baby is healthy, your pregnancy is healthy, and you opt out of any optional tests, then you will only have the a/s.

This time my first appointment isn't even until 12 weeks so I assume they will do my NT at the same time as my dating. And then my anatomy scan should be the last.

The OB here won't even schedule our first appointment until 10 weeks, and we will have a dating ultrasound at that point. Then the anatomy at 20 weeks will be the last.
DD1 was a dating ultrasound around 6 weeks, and anatomy scan at 20 weeks.
DD2 was a dating ultrasound around 8 weeks, anatomy scan at 18 weeks. And an unexpected late ultrasound at 32 weeks only because I was measuring small.

6 weeks - dating scan/ER (sudden bleeding SCH)
7 weeks - growth scan + check SCH
12 weeks - NT
20 weeks - AS
34 weeks - growth scan (not guaranteed)
my doctor in general only ever guarantees the AS, and the NT if you opt for it, but I have the extras due to the recent bleed and previous loss.
