Welcome to the community!
Some great tips for benefiting from this wonderful community:
- Read izza2's TTGP Guide (we're working on getting it pinned at the top of this board in place of the one that's pinned – in the meantime, here is the link https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12685680/the-ultimate-ttgp-guide-newbies-read-this-first/p1). It is full of really helpful TTC advice and knowledge.
- Participate! Join the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) threads. This is a great place to let everyone know where you are at in your cycle, rant and/or rave about anything (TTC-related or not), and have any questions answered.
Please introduce yourselves. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
Ages (you and SO):
How many months have you been TTC?
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

Re: Newbie Intro week of 9/12
TW - loss mentioned
Ages (you and SO): I'm 29, DH is 32.
How many months have you been TTC? TTC in December 2015; BFP in January, which was followed by a natural MC in February 2016. TTCAL since April 2016. This Wednesday would've been my EDD, so I'm trying to keep busy this week.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Temping, PNVs, CoQ10. Adding OPKs this cycle (well, I used them previously but not with enough regularity). My body post-loss has taken so long to regulate that this cycle is really the first semi-normal cycle I've had, and I'm hoping that continues.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I am an attorney; DH is in education. We have no children but do have two fur-children - two dogs - who keeps us busy and entertained. We spend a lot of time attending HS athletics since DH is an athletic director, and I currently spend the evenings when DH is away binge-watching Scandal on Netflix.
I'm excited to dive in with you all - in my lurkdom, I've already learned so much!

I've been lurking for a few weeks and have learned so much from you all! I was basically the Jon Snow of TTC before I started lurking.
Ages (you and SO): We're both 31.
How many months have you been TTC? This is our 2nd month/cycle.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Just finished reading TCOYF, PNVs, temping, learning to check CP/CM, OPKs, BD
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm an accountant, H works for a defense contractor. We've been married for 7 years and are trying for our first. Initially we thought we'd start trying after 5 years. However, life happened and we definitely were not ready at that time. We have 2 lab mix puppies (you can still call them "puppies" when they're 7 years old, right?). I love running (except for when I hate it), baking, reading and a (large) glass of wine. I also have a knack for becoming obsessed with various BBC/Masterpiece/Netflix shows and then promptly slipping into a depression when I've run out of episodes.

DD Born 10/20/17
Ages (you and SO): I'm 28, DH is 27
How many months have you been TTC?: 3, this is my 3rd cycle
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPKs, checking CM, PNVs, BD EOD, and just trying my best for overall good health (walking more, eating more fruits and veggies/less processed)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.: We have been married a little over a year now and are trying for our first. We both work in education - I teach K and DH teaches in a middle school. DH loves pretty much all sports, so that's mostly what's on our tv. However I do find time for a good Netflix or Bravo binge now and again. I am embarrassed to admit I am a Bravo addict and love all the fake drama of their shows, especially Housewives.

Hello! My name is Kate and my husband and I were married in Jan of this year. I am 25 and he is 26. This will be only our second month TTGP.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I have been keeping track of my cycle with an app and used an OPK last month. This month I am thinking about starting to temp.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have two pups here at home, Hoss the Golden Retriever and Darla the Boxer. I work from home part time, specializing in SEO and copywriting for a local online clothing boutique. DH is a quality engineer. We are both home bodies for the most part and greatly enjoy games of all sorts.
I am looking forward to becoming a part of this community!
TTC #1 since August 2016
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I have been tracking my cycles for 18 months. I started when I went off BC so I could predict when my AF was coming but now I am SO happy I started so long ago because it will be such a big help while TTC. After lurking here for the past 6-8 months, I learned all about CM! Also have been taking prenatals for over a year.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My DH and I got married on 9/3/16 after being together for 6 years and now are officially TTC! We are leaving for our honeymoon on Friday and according to my app, I should ovulate on the very last day, FX for a honeymoon baby. We have a 2 year old goldendoodle and we consider her our "first born" and spoil her.
So excited to finally be here!
EDD: March 24, 2018 - angel baby at 21 weeks
We haven't been trying or preventing since we had our little guy. I have only had 1 period in July and am looking to get tracking again.
Good to be back!
My husband and I are looking to have baby #2. I had my son Nov 2015.
AF showed up for the first time since my son was born (thank you BF lol). I imagine it will take a few months for my cycle to regulate, but we will be ntnp in the meantime.
My DH and I were high school sweethearts, and have been married 5 years. I work for a large pharmaceutical company, in genetic toxicology. I have a 10 month old son, and a 4 year fur baby (boxer). We love to travel, go for walks with our son, and try new unique restaurants.
@LadyDi711 Bravo is also my guilty pleasure, I love me some Real Housewives of whatever. NO SHAME!
TTC #1 since August 2016
I'm finally joining here since lurking for so long. We originally wanted to start trying for our first baby in December, but due to an unanticipated job change, we opted to wait until I could qualify for FMLA to start trying. I did start PNVs and temping/tracking CM to get familiar with my body after coming off BC (was on it for 9 years). This was great practice, as it turns out I have highly irregular cycles, lasting anywhere from 30-55 days. Yeesh.
**TW**
We were extremely fortunate to get pregnant our first cycle trying (June/July), but unfortunately it ended in a MC this week. We're not sure yet whether we will be ready to start trying again as soon as we are able, but I felt like now was the time to jump in and get to know you all in the meantime, as I appreciate the support and information from the Bump community.
**end TW**
I am 29, DH is 30. I am a scientist working in cancer research, and DH works in a clinical lab doing testing. We've been together for 10 years now, and married for 4. We have a 9 year old goofy little pug who we adore. We spend a lot of time hiking when the weather is nice, but otherwise spend time fixing up our new house and relaxing with lots of TV. Like a lot of you, I can't get enough Real Housewives, but we opted to cut our cable for this very reason, as I would waste way to much time on mindless TV!!!

Hello! I'm not necessarily new.. Unfortunately I'm back after another loss earlier this week.
I am 32, H is 35.
we started ntnp in Dec 16 and got a BFP in April. We had a blighted ovum in May at 9 weeks. We had a second BFP on our first cycle after AF returned and I started to miscarry earlier this week. At least my body appears to be taking care of itself this time.
Once we are able to start TTC again I'll resume PNV, temping and OPKs. I am going to also start b vit and CoQ10.
I work in the airlines and my husband is self employed. We have 4 fur babies- 2 a-hole cats, a lab and a pitbull. They're spoiled rotten. I'm definitely not thrilled to be back but I learned more during my time here than from any other resource. Also- this group is a lot more active (and entertaining

Hi everyone, I am not new to the bump, I spent some time on the TTGP board Dec 14-Feb 15 and then spent a happy 9 months on the October 15 board. I re-introduced here awhile ago and quickly learned I was pregnant and due in May. Sadly I have lost my May 17 baby. My heart is hurting as it is still sinking in. It's hard to let go of the dreams that come along with those 2 little lines.
Ages- Both me and hubby are 28
As I am currently still bleeding from my miscarriage I have been looking into what to expect with temping coming out of a miscarriage. I still need to get the go ahead from my dr to start trying again, I go see him on Friday. Temping proves to be tricky as my 10 month old hates sleeping and it's rare I get a 3 hour chunk of uninterrupted slee, never mind around the same time each night! I will be trying to temp, probably starting next cycle. I think my body needs a break.
i have a crazy 10 month old son who keeps me running, 2 large dogs that never stop shedding and are currently snoring and driving me a bit nuts! I have been married for 2 years on the 27th of this month. I am currently still o Maternity leave but not planning on going back to work. My husband just started a business and I will be doing the book keeping for him...
I am am looking forward to being active on this board and getting to know you ladies.

Hi @MrsN092714
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I have had two losses and temped after them. My doctor always recommends taking 1 cycle off for your body to reset, by the way. I thought I'd post my two charts from my losses so that you can see examples of temps after a loss. I am still on the second loss but hopefully almost done. It appears that I did ovulate both times, but some ladies do not ovulate after a loss.

Hi! I've been recently lurking around again as we start trying for #2. I was lurking and sometimes responding on TTGP in 2013 for a few months before we were successful and i moved over to my BMB, Aug 2014. I was pretty active in my BMB until early 2015 when things got really weird with the Bump and my whole board left...not sure if anyone remembers any of that!
Ages (you and SO): me 30, dh 48
How many months have you been TTC? NTNP since DS was born in Aug 2014.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? i have diagnosed PCOS, and achieved pregnancy with my son on my 6th round of Clomid. I plan on taking Clomid when my next cycle begins, hopefully in early October. We have already gone through the testing, etc. to start Clomid for the next cycle.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My Son just turned 2 in August, he is a true Leo! I am loving watching him grow and would love to give him a younger sibling. DH has 2 DD from a previous relationship, so he does have sisters, just that they make better babysitters than playmates since they are 22 and 25! I live in Rhode Island and love to be out and about experiencing everything our state has to offer. I work in community relations for a large lifestyle brand here in RI.

How many months have you been TTC? TW---This is our 25th cycle, total, though four of those were pregnancies that didn't work out.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? All the normal stuff (temping, OPKs, etc.), plus DH is on Clomid and FertilAid for his sperm count/quality.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a chemist, DH is a nurse. We started TTC immediately after we married. I have two precious puppies and a couple fishies. I live in southern Missouri, no living children yet, but my DH and I are also pursuing foster care/adoption, so that may change soon!

Please introduce yourselves. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
Ages (you and SO): I am 25 (for a few more days) and DH is 29.
How many months have you been TTC? We have been TTC for 22 months total, but we have been going to an RE for 13 months. **TW** We have been TTC for 6 months post-loss. **TW End**
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Thankfully DH's SA came back normal. I take Metformin every day. I also temp and use FF. We tried a round of femera with no results, so we moved on to Clomid. We have finally found a dose I respond to, so I have been able to ovulate every month (yay!). This month we are doing our first round of IUI with Clomid and Ovidrel.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I was semi-active on TB when I first started TTC, but I was in grad school at the time and it took over my life. I have lurked some, but just wasn't able to be a contributing member. We do not have any children, but we do have the cutest dog in the world, IMO! He is a black lab named Chief, and he will be 2 in November. I like running and swimming. I have a hard time staying motivated to going to a gym and working-out. I also enjoy quilting, knitting, and general crafting. I'm addicted to Pinterest!
Me: 25 | DH: 29

Ages (you and SO): I'm 33, husband is 36
How many months have you been TTC? We started trying in April and got pregnant right away. Yay! Then we went to my eight week scan and found out I'd had a blighted ovum/missed miscarriage. Less yay! I had a D&C the next day and then it took five and a half weeks to get my period (which lasted for a cool 16 days!!!) again and then I was traveling during FW, so this past month was the first month we really tried again. So, the short answer: five months when we started trying, one TTCAL.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? This past month (and the month when we did get pregnant), I thought I'd be real chill about the whole thing and just have a lot of sex during FW. Now, with one unsuccessful cycle, I've ordered the ClearBlue Fertility Monitor. I am not chill at all, as it turns out.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We're TTC #1. We live in LA, where I'm a TV and film writer. Other than that, I spend a lot of time watching TV (which I pretend is work-related), shopping, working out, and cooking.
Even lurking during my TWW was helpful, so looking forward to getting to know folks!
BFP #1: 5/16
MMC at 8 weeks: 6/16
BFP #2: 10/16
Sweet baby boy arrived 7/7/17!
Ages (you and SO): We're both 29.
How many months have you been TTC? We started NTNP at the end of April. We began formally TTC this month.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Temping, OPKs, vitamins.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) No kids here. We have a cat. H works in international development, and I work in healthcare. Both of us are in school right now for our Masters. I like exercising in my spare time (swimming, running, biking, Pilates).
Ages (you and SO): Me 35, DH 34
How many months have you been TTC? NTNP for 1 year...so it's time to get serious. Really trying for 2 cycles.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Since getting serious: temping, opk, FF and probably everything else anyone mentions once I have all of the acronyms down!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm an attorney, DH is a research scientist. TW...We put off TTC for my career, and now I'm a little scared. A doctor told me if we are successful I will be a geriatric pregnant person! I know it's "medically true", but still. Way to give a girl some nerves! End TW. We are proud parents to a spunky cockatiel who tells us what to do.

So, you might have seen me posting here and there, but primarily in the Benched thread. I thought I'd reintroduce myself since there are so many new people since I was last here in July, and today is CD1 for me finally so I'll start posting in WTO here and there.

Ages (you and SO): 26/26
How many months have you been TTC? I've been trying since March, and had 2 back to back losses at 7 weeks.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I've noticed some people aren't even temping.. so I have to say it. I'm temping even through loss cycles, OPKs, learning more about CP, charting literally every single cray thing I can make up, and I also am taking a baby aspirin after O and 4200 mcg of methyl-folate because I am MTHFR. I will be doing progesterone if I get a BFP. I also am Type 1 Diabetes so I am wearing my sensor and keeping my blood sugar as stable as possible and checking frequently.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I am an ICU nurse, DH is a construction engineer. We have a 3 1/3 yr old mini schnauzer/Shih-Tzu/Yorkie mix named Raider, and he's my baby. I've even practiced baby wearing with him. I love to read, DH loves fish tanks and working out.
TW * my last loss was really traumatic with a stay in the ICU on Aug 4, and it still gives me flashbacks over the weirdest things. It's taken a little over a month to get AF, and hopefully my body has healed itself from the trauma and will get its shit together and keep a LO finally.
