While I don't mind chocolate, I don't go out of my way to eat it. I always choose vanilla ice cream, and white cake and vanilla frosting. It tastes fine, but it does nothing for me and usually makes me feel kind of sick.
I miss wine. A lot. Especially a nice dry red. I know it's okay to have a glass here and there, but I can wait... I think. Besides I notice how much caffeine and sugar affect him. I can't imagine the impact alcohol would have on him.
I am sooooooooo ready for a glass of wine!! I'm holding off till 3rd trimester, already got the ok from OB to have one every once in awhile, and I made sure to ask my OB at the ONE appointment DH was with me at :P So DH can't say he doesn't believe the OB said that ha!
Ditto to both @sagoon and @emy730---- Not a big fan of chocolate & I miss beer & sushi too. However, on a positive note, me not drinking beer has cut my fiancee from drinking beer waaaaaaay down & I have noticed how much better he looks. 1) belly has flattened significantly. 2) he lost like almost 20 pounds (he's a big & tall guy so it shed kinda quickly) and he stopped snoring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for the most part) 3) his skin looks so nice. The other day I was eyeing him and I was like DAMN boy. Looking good. I am happy for him!!!

I do not find the maternity shirts that say "preggers", "bump on board", etc cute (they are borderline annoying to me). I do not feel like I need anything other than the belly I'm toting around to announce I am pregnant.
I also do not get offended when someone asks when I am due. Although the first time I was asked my someone at work I was not paying much attention and replied "what?" with a very confused look on my face and accidentally petrified the old man

I feel like I've already said this one but it's just getting worse every week. I freaking hate people staring at and commenting on my body. Fuck off I'm not a side show here for your entertainment, I'm a very private person trying to go about my damned business. Go AWAY.
(Sooooo no, I won't be buying any of those bump or pregnancy reference shirts...)
I don't like most newborn photography. It tends to make the babies look like little blobs. I also don't like giant headbands on baby girls (I am prepared to eat my words on this one once I have a baby girl of my own. We'll see.)

I hate those shirts, too! However, a friend gave me a few in a bag of maternity hand me downs during my last pregnancy. They're hideous on top of having stupid cliche sayings on them, but I totally wore them around the apartment during the end of my third trimester because omg they were sooooo comfy!! Perfect for being lazy at home. I would've died of embarrassment if anyone other than DH saw me in them though lol
My UO: I think the sugary drink they give you for the glucose test is delicious. I was so scared to drink it my last pregnancy because it had been talked up so much. But it was actually pretty good! Poured that sucker over ice and it tasted like regular juice! I'm kinda looking forward to it in a couple weeks.
Then again, my sweet tooth is outta control so....

Lol I was gifted one as well and told my husband "if I leave the house in this you know something is wrong". It's hiding in the back of my tshirt drawer now that I have sent the obligatory photo of me in it.
I've been letting myself have a glass of wine on a weekly basis--I can't tolerate it as much as I used to be able to and I've noticed the baby gets really kicky after I drink it.
My UO: GrubHub in my area seems to hire a lot of people from Nigeria (I'm assuming from Nigeria based on the fact that they have Nigerian first names! I could be wrong) to run deliveries. I don't really mind this in itself... that's fine... but these people always have really weird service that just seems odd. While we're working on our new house, we're still living in an apartment that has a buzzer system with a door... I usually just include our door code in the instructions. I'll then get a phone call. I think, "Oh, they missed the instructions for the door code and need let into the building." No, they're just standing outside of the front door to our actual unit and don't seem to understand that it's customary to knock on the door. Then sometimes the person will hold the food in their hands and make me grab the food from them rather than handing it to me.. they never say a word to me because it's obvious they don't speak English... which... fine... whatever... but how can you work a service job in a country and not even understand its basic customs?
@lastmango omg the lemon lime glucose drink cold was delicious. Fruit Punch, warm, for the 3 hour made me want to die. I got the orange this time and it's waiting in my fridge and I'm actually super excited.
When I scan local Facebook mom groups, and see "ISO pack n play/bouncer/toys for a BOY" I want to rip my freaking hair out. Pink and purple are colors, not an invitation for your son to be gay. Chill the balls out people and let your son rest his manly head in a pack n play with pink butterflies-his odds of being gay are the same either way.

Preach. My future son will be in an infant car seat with pink and purple flowers on it because that is what we were gifted for my daughter and you bet your butt I'm not wasting money buying a new one when the one we have is not expired.
I've had apple cider donuts. But not apple pie Donuts. Sounds terrible tbh. I made my daughter an apple crisp for breakfast because she eats jack shit and at least it has fruit and oatmeal in it, right? She scoffed at me and wouldn't eat it. So I ate it.
@colleenkevin good plan, still totally useable. I can't deal with this! My mom called me and said "wouldn't it be awful it your house was full of pink and you had a son third?" Talk about a tragedy. Imagine childhood cancer and AIDS. Then imagine a boy playing with his sisters dress up.
@LastMango I really don't mind the orange one. Reminds me of orange pop. I got a choice between warm orange or cold lemon lime for the 3 hour one and chose cold and really wish I'd gone with the warm orange. Not a fan of the lemon lime.
@emy730, we have a local donut place called Donut King that serves all kinds of crazy flavors and I'm pretty sure they have or had an apple pie one. They also have ones that are covered in candies like Nerds or Butterfingers, but I usually go for cream filled. Give me a Boston Kreme any time! *drooling*
TBH, I really don't like apple pies, or pies much to begin with. I guess that can be my UO haha.

Why is apple pie a dessert but donuts are a breakfast food?
Donuts are a food group onto themselves.
@LastMango I didn't mind the taste of the lemon lime drink! Kinda tasted like a melted Popsicle! My doctor asked me to do a glucose test at 4 weeks because my mom has type 1 diabetes. In a few weeks I'm going back for the regularly scheduled test, kinda hoping to try a different flavor. And thanks to this thread I know to avoid fruit punch.
Finally thought of my UO for the week: I have no desire for a pet. For at least 10 years. My in-laws, especially my MIL, ask us (me) every time we see them when we're going to get a pet. My answer every time is, "When I am no longer changing diapers or getting up in the middle of the night to take care of babies and know for sure that I won't be doing either of those things ever again." And then they always respond with, "Oh, but DD would be so cute with a puppy/kitten!" Dude. My toddler is enough work as it is, and cuteness is NOT a reason to take on the responsibility of caring for an animal. Thank God we got pregnant with DD within 3 months of being married or they'd be after me about babies, too... I know that because they are constantly pestering my BIL and his wife about it!
@karaelaine1991 yeah don't listen. Pets are huge pains. I love my dog dearly, but he rolls in skunk poop on the backyard. He sheds all over the freshly cleaned floors, etc
@karaelaine1991 I agree. We have a dog, but I am in no rush to get any more animals. I love her, but she sheds everywhere, requires expensive food, and has recently started getting into the trash occasionally which always results in dog poop or puke within 24 hours.
If it weren't for DH, I'd be dog free. Cats are easier to take care of for the most part, but our dog...he pees every where, sheds every where, eats poop from the litter box and gets into the trash (which is impressive considering how small he is). I love him, but he's tons of extra work.

@karaelaine1991 Don't do it unless you really want one! I wish we had just stuck with our one dog, who is amazing but the other one is a pain. But they both shed sooo much! It's obnoxious. And they're an extra set of beings you have to worry about in general. I think we're done with dogs after these two pass.
@karaelaine1991 YES!!! ME TOO!!! DH and I are both cat people, but we haven't had one the last 3yrs that we've lived in our house, and it has been so nice I have no desire to change it. It's hard when its the boys begging us to get a dog though, but there is no way I could care for 3 young kids at home AND give a dog the attention/care it needs...on top of that I am SO not a dog person.
We had discussed getting the boys a cat NEXT Christmas, that was before I got pregnant and we were thinking when our youngest was 3yrs old...now...lol. And my poor oldest boy, we were at my aunts farm and her cat had kittens and he was wanting one so bad, and he said "I'll never get a pet, every time I want a pet you just have another baby!" oh my gosh LOL I had only known for a week that I was pregnant when he said that and we hadn't told the boys yet. At that point I remember thinking that I obviously have said "I'd rather have another child than get a dog" way too many times lol.
Guys..... our a/c unit is not cooling (ughhhhh) and it's so hot. Can't figure out what it is. Anyways, I love pets. I really do but, I am on team no pet for now. My fiancée wants to get a dog and I had to put a hard stop on that one. I have no desire to take care of pets. My parents have a dog & cat that I love very much and I go over there when I need my fix.
