Hi Ladies,
I love being a part of a community like this. I have been reading every thread I could about this but haven't found a whole lot. This is my first month off BCP (7 year user) and I have no idea if I actually O'd this month. I have an app to track and on day 14 right when I should have O'd I started bleeding...it really bummed me out and I told DH that I read it could just be ovulation bleeding and we should still try. The spotting only lasted about 2 days mostly brown in colour (but also CM mixed in it seemed) it was enough to need a panty liner one of the days. And of course we BD all around those days so I am hoping some stroke of luck means I had ov bleeding and there's a baby trying to make its way down there

But I also am very prepared this process can take a while! (I'm going to wait to see if I miss AF before I start testing, which is 7 days from now) One thing is I have been having all of these BSC feelings that I'm bloating and hungry and crampy....but I guess these could just be symptoms of coming off BCP as well.
I was just wondering if other women experienced ov bleeding off BCP and if they still were able to conceive?
Thanks!

I have several recommendations for you. First of all, read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and buy a basal thermometer to start temping in the morning. This will help you track your cycles and the temp shifts that help navigate where you are in your cycle. Also, buy some ovulation predictor kits so you can get an idea of when you are about to ovulate allowing you to have sex on your most fertile days. Finally, lurk around here a little more and join our WTO thread while you figure out where you are in your cycle. This is a great community of women who are sharing our experiences and supporting one another. I hope you join us and your stay is short.

As an FYI, most people use fertility friend to chart and it is very user friendly. If that is not the app you are currently using, I would suggest downloading it. And any time you have a question or want someone to stalk your chart, you put that under CS/Q.
Again, welcome!

As PPs have said, mid-cycle ovulation spotting is not unusual. You did the right thing by, "when in doubt, HIO." Go ahead and intro on the weekly newbie thread and try posting in the daily TWW threads, until AF arrives, in which case you would switch to WTO.
Please thouroughly read the Newbie Thread, consider picking up a copy of TCOYF to read, and try using the search tool on the bump when you have questions you feel have likely been addressed before. Creating lots of individual threads is frowned upon unless they are fun GTKY type that engage the whole community.
Also, keep lurking and Welcome!!
