Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday 9/13

  • The pharmacy last night! We go to pick up my nausea meds, which I ordered online and were supposed to be done the night before. We wait in line, finally get to the front, and the lady tells us they have no record of my order. So we tell her what it's for. Oh, ok, we'll we can fill it now but you have to come back in an hour. Fine.

We come back in an hour. Lady tries to sell us on how great the online system is, but really you need to call to confirm it went through, because a lot of times it doesn't go through. So why don't I just call to place the refill? No, really, the online system is great!

    Whatever, lady!
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!

  • My housemates' cat. In the mornings he needs ALL THE ATTENTION. So he spilled my nightstand water, mewed incessantly, was underfoot as we scrambled (nearly tripped me 3x), and then was climbing on us and splashing in the water as we brushed our teeth.  :|

  • today my somewhat minor TW is my coworker, whom I normally love, who nearly everyday since I revealed the pregnancy has been telling me how big my stomach looks. Meanwhile, I still think I am barely showing, and it's a lot of "gut" still going on. Gee thanks, being told how fat I look first thing in the morning is a great way to start my day! lol

  • My legs are my TW. This sunburn is so itchy I'm going to die. It kept me up all night.
  • @CurlyCupcake2 I just got rage for you. People are bimbos. So glad you (may have) hit her car with frozen pizza. Hopefully the pizza is still intact and she didn't cause an accident.

  • One of my employees loves cleaning out the fridge. I have told her before to either send out an email before dumping stuff or do it first thing Monday morning (she's one of the first people in) because the food at that point is too old to eat since it's at minimum from Friday. Came in this morning and she'd thrown the lunch I brought in yesterday and didn't eat away. I have been looking forward to eating it since I woke up and it was the last of the leftovers. She said she threw it away because she doesn't like seafood so she thought it smelled gross. I was late because of a doctors appt and I have to leave early so I can't leave to get food and I don't have money to give to someone to buy me food so I literally have a bagel and banana and some cookies to eat today.
  • Today my minor TW was having to get up at 6am for work. I point blank did not feel like getting up, my bed was so so comfy. It sucked lol
Now, having been at work since 6:55, I am awake and over it mostly, and just want to eat food lol. I already ate my breakfast and lunch....the baby is hungry today :)

@cantalopes24 What a bitch. Want me throat punch her for you? Ugh. I hate people like that. I'd murder someone, nobody touches my food. Not even my husband lol. I'm so mad for you right now.

  • My TW is my endocrinologist or at the very least her office. I'm getting blood tests for my thyroid levels every month and I've been waiting 2 weeks to hear back from her on whether I need to adjust my meds or not. I don't think I do tbh but still it's her job to respond to me and confirm that since I am not a doctor and shouldn't be making calls on my medication dosage. I came so close to running out of meds once because their office f*&%ed up the prescription and tried to tell me everyone who could help me was on vacation. After that we considered finding another doctor but ended up getting pregnant so we talked to her first about our concerns and we worked out a system that worked for the last couple of months until now, they are back to their old games. One nurse tells me she's been on vacation the last two weeks but is back now and will call me back yesterday. I didn't get a call yesterday so I call back today and am told she's still on vacation and a covering doctor should have gotten back to me. Well no covering doctor has ever gotten back to me with this office so finally I just had them leave another message that I'm expecting a call.

Plus I'm trying to figure out if we can still close on the house we're under contract for next Thursday. The appraisal was done a week ago and the bank still hasn't gotten a report and now they're saying it can take 3 weeks to get a report so we just need to wait and see. I can't wait and see we have movers scheduled for Friday that needs to be changed if we aren't closing then, our rate lock is going to be affected if it goes more than a couple of days past our initial closing, and we need to find somewhere to live if it's going to be delayed since we've told our landlords we'd be out Oct 1st.

  • @cantalopes24 Seriously?!? Cleaning out the fridge after awhile is one thing. Throwing out something that has been there one day?!? That's so rude!! I'd be pissed that I don't have food plus that she threw away my money by throwing out my food! So not ok!!!

  • @cantalopes24 UGH that would piss me off too. We have super strict rules here about food storage, but one of them is Not Yours? Don't Effing Touch! (It would say something very close to that if I were in charge...)

  • @marriedhamstermom My first Endo was that way. It took forever and a day for them to call me w results. Well I found a new Endo and they literally call me THE SAME DAY with my thyroid levels! It's so nice, especially when you're pregnant and more inclined to need an increased dose.
  • @cantalopes24 at the very least could you put a note with the date on your food? I know she's trying to be "helpful" but clearly her decisions on what food needs to be tossed are subpar at best
  • @CurlyCupcake21ugh!!! I have rage for you! My pregnancy anxiety has been AWFUL when driving. I've been in 2 accidents due to distracted drivers, and thankfully walked away fine but with a totaled car. I am constantly driving with the mindset of the idiots around me, sucks you can't even walk without that mindset too.

@homemake ugh that virus sounds awful!!! I hope you're able to pull through for the anatomy scan!
  • I'm totally the office fridge thrower outer.. BUT.. it's because people leave shit in there for months and it's like a science experiment.. sometimes when some opens it, it smells bad enough for me to have to run to the bathroom to hurl.

Like there was a half drank bottle of formula in there, when the last time anyone's kid around here took a bottle was over 6 months before hand.

Our legal department had 6 people in it and we have our own mini fridge, but customs compliance who sits next to us is like a dozen people and they've basically taken it over.
  • Today's Twatwaffle is my washing machine. Technology is too fancy for me and I'm starting the realize just why the sellers of this house left their brand new, sparkly front loaders here. I would have too.

I hate my front loading machine.. it was my largest regret purchase.
  • DH keeps trying to convince me to move to a front loader next time we have to purchase new washer and dryer (because he thinks they are better and would be easier for me to use...cuz I'm short), and I'm like "No, until you do the laundry, you get no say". I hate front loaders. Too much maintenance.

My OB office is a huge TW and I am soooo angry right now! I opted for the NT scan and called my insurance company to see if it was covered and they said yes. Sweet. Awesome. Sign me up. My OB made the appointment for me. And they made it with a place that, apparently, is their competitor! It is on the same campus as the hospital so how the hell was I supposed to know?! So know I have a nice $450 bill that I cant afford and don't want to freaking pay. And my mom is in a meeting so I cant call her and ask if the insurance company will handle it (I have insurance through her still) GRRR

EDIT: Because OH PARDON ME a $492 bill. *all the expletives*

I sold my front loader fancy machine and got a used top loader. Best decision I've made in a while.

    I just may have to
  • Top loaders are the best! Especially the newer ones! Outs doesn't have an agitator in the middle, and it's pretty big. I don't have to take our king size
comforter to the laundromat anymore! Best of all, no leaks like we had with the front loader!

@tishb what model do you have?

My front loader has a deceivingly small drum, which apparently has to be filled *just right* in order agitate properly.

Between that, the leaks, having to keep the door open to prevent mold (and risking a kitty sneaking in there contributing perma cat hair on all clothes) weekly cleaning cycles, etc: Blargh.

Yes! When we bought our house we bought new LG high efficiency top loaders. Best decision we ever made

This is me, an office of mostly men that cant even manage to put their plates in the dishwasher after using them means a lot of stuff in the fridge that is waaaaay past the use by date. Every so often ill go through everything & if its got mold on it or its past the use by then it goes in the bin. So far no one has complained but then i also havnt thrown out anything that i shouldnt have.
