@ajstevenson It tasted pretty good! It's not too sweet, which I liked. I didn't feel as guilty eating it, haha. If I could make it again, I'd probably increase the amount of espresso powder and pumpkin pie spice just a little bit. Also, some pumpkin pie spice on top of the whipped cream (as well as the espresso powder) was an improvement, IMO. It also was pretty simple to make, which was a bonus. Made the kitchen smell awesome too
Why do Dr's offices call to reschedule an appointment before they look at when an appointment is available? I spent 20 minutes on hold while they figured out where to squeeze me in.....THEY called me to reschedule, I didn't call them. Be prepared folks.

!!!!! I just put on pj pants (and there is no way I'm going back to acceptable public pants tonight).. So now I have to find a place with drive through chocolate milkshakes. Hmmm...
Me: "oh, I want doughnuts. And steak. A Danish Kringle. And buffalo chicken wings. I have new cravings everyday. Every. Day." DH: "that's weird. It's like you are pregnant. Crap. Now I want doughnuts."
I did not have any of that food I the house. But I made some damn good spaghetti.
I had DH stop and get me a cherry pie and soft pretzels with cheese on his way home, I just couldn't decide. I'm going to start with a slice of pie though.
I keep craving dessert, but I don't want anything. I definitely would like a treat but I have not laid eyes on the thing that I want. I walked around all day on Tuesday looking at cookies and cupcakes and scones and pie and candy and bought nothing. I want something! But I can't find the thing. It's so weird.

Just ate my leftover chipotle for lunch. I get a bowl, get both beans, lots of corn and Pico, and extra corn and Pico on the side (for the next day). It's easier to justify the cost when it's actually 2 meals for me.
As I'm having heartburn from a mid-morning bowl of oatmeal, I google foods that don't give you heartburn. Oatmeal is at the top of all the lists. I'm screwed.
@slartybartfast I get heartburn when I eat too many carbs. I also read that making sure you eat enough fresh fruit and veggies can help, and my heartburn is definitely worse when I'm lacking in that area. The last couple times I've had it I ate an apple and some cheese - I wasn't sure it was a great idea because it kinda hurt going down, but within a half hour or so I felt a lot better.
Resurrecting this to say I haven't kept any food down in 24 hours and I just sent FI to the store to get me the biggest block of mozzarella he can find. No shame. I'm hungry and the cheese is calling my name.
I want oatmeal creme pies. DH went to Raleys (grocery store with somewhat healthier options) and asked where they were. Not only do they not have them (somewhat expected), but 2 employees had no idea what they were!! Wtf?! Let me introduce you to Little Debbie my friends, because you are missing out.
DH and I are both using sugar to cope with stress - it's not healthy and hopefully we'll tone it down a bit, but yesterday we had pie, banana bread, homemade gingersnaps, and ice cream all on hand, and grazed on all of them throughout the day. Sometimes it's the only thing that works...
Still having ice cream daily. Halloween candy has made an appearance (and disappearance) in my house. 1 bag of peanut butter cups already gone...since Thursday. DH and DD helped!.
I want French toast today but we don't have any bread. Boo.
My heartburn is so bad these days that I don't want to eat. I end up having little snacks here and there, but there's not much room left. Also, Gaviscon is disgusting.
@JessCL - Gaviscon is the only thing that works with my acid reflux. But it IS totally disgusting. I pretty much have to swallow it without breathing.
Today, there is not enough food in East TN to quell my hunger. I have eaten raisin bran, one soft taco, a bag of candy corn, three servings of Cheez-Itz, a PB&J, an apple, a hard boiled egg, and a large iced tea. And I am already thinking about dinner. I think I am calling a mulligan on healthy eating today.
@allicat89 I'm going to ask my OB if I can take Zantac. I seem to remember taking it in one of my other pregnancies. Gaviscon is what I imagine swallowing liquid plumber would feel like...minus the chemical burn.
@jessCL - It is worth asking about omeprozole too if you are really struggling. I take omeprozole very day and that helps tremendously so I only have to use gaviscon for break through problems. And yes, liquid plumber without the chemical burn pretty much sums up my feelings too!
unfortunately I discovered I can take 1/3 of a package of GF brownie mix, add 1 egg and some water, and microwave it for a few minutes and take all the work out of baking brownies...
@slartybartfast didn't we have a whole discussion on mug cakes/brownies a month or so back?? Even so, that sounds amazing.
I decided to get creative for dinner tonight. Stuffed chicken, stuffed with spinach and cheese with a little ranch dressing and seasoned to taste. That's it since there's nothing else in the house. We are is desperate need of a shopping trip....

It seems these days I'm either starving all day eating everything in sight or I have to force myself to eat.
