20 weeks 3 days and I felt the first UNDENIABLE kicks that my husband was finally able to feel too! It was amazing watching his face when he felt him kick, he was so excited it melted my heart. So weird to actually feel the baby in there... maybe I'm starting to believe that I'm actually pregnant!
@mommywesley I had my 20w scan today and the tech told me to prepare to get a good beating for the duration of the pregnancy. He doesn't stop moving during ultrasounds- he rolls, kicks, and thrashes his arms.
Is anyone else surprised by the location of the movement/kicks? I'm 23 weeks and today I feel like what I can only assume are kicks really high up - further than what I think my fundal height is at. It's kind of weird and making me question what is going on in there/what else it would be. I did notice it more higher up when I was sitting down, so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. Normally the kicks I experience are belly button level and below.
Tonight I ate dinner on the couch, had a bowl that I was resting on top of my belly and apparently babies were not in to that- they kicked the crap out of my hand holding the bowl, so high up!

I think it's pretty normal depending on your torso size, how full your bladder is, and how you're sitting. I was sitting on my couch kind of with my spine curled today and LO kept kicking me low in the rib on my left side. He kind of rests his feet under the rib (like just barely inside the rib cage) too and although it doesn't hurt or anything, that is a REALLY weird uncomfortable feeling.
ETA: Also at this far along, don't discredit your baby's punch strength when you're feeling it lower down
I've finally been able to feel baby move for the past week. Such a relief!!!
Highlight was over the weekend when my husband put his ear on my stomach to see if he could hear her and she kicked him right in the face! Ha my kind of girl!
Found out I'm in the anterior placenta club at my anatomy scan yesterday, which was a huge relief because I feel very little movement still at 20 weeks. It was bizarre though to see how much this baby is moving. He was like a little jumping bean and I was none the wiser.

I agree! I have gotten a few solid hits to the cervix already that have shocked me. How a person so tiny can hit with such force is a mystery to me.
Anyone else have the baby stop kicking when you put your hand on your stomach? I've been feeling him move since 16ish weeks even with anterior placenta and pretty routine movements daily since 20 weeks (currently at 23 weeks), but every time I put my hand there he stops! And when I take my hand away, he kicks again. H isn't too bothered that he hasn't felt him kick yet, but I wish he could experience it. Anyone else having the same thing?

Yes!! Same here ! I am so anxious for my husband to feel the baby move, but every time he puts his hand on my stomach he stops kicking! Several nights we laid on the couch and he just had his hand there for a good 30 minutes or so even after eating, drinking water, and laying down quietly, which is usually when this little guy goes on a kicking rampage.... Nope.... Stubborn little booger...
@ThePax89 I caught it too! Is it weird that I just want to watch the video of him kicking over and over? I also sent it to DH who is absolutely fascinated by his kicks. I swear the two of us have probably watched it more times than we should admit. It's just... amazing.
@newyearsbaby5 mine is the same way! My husband has felt a couple of kicks, but most of the time they stop as soon as he or I put a hand on my belly. My MW said this could have something to do with the baby feeling the warmth of our hands and then relaxing.
I have started seeing movement this week too! But I've pointed it out to both my husband and my sister and neither of them could see the kicks or differentiate them from my breathing.
@christac1010 not weird at all. This is my 2nd child and it's still amazing. DH isn't as impressed as I am though. There is a fully autonomous being in my freaking belly! I saw this and fell in love with the "dancing of life"
H and I both felt our first kick from the outside last night! But just one each. Baby was going crazy after I had some ice cream, so I think I just need to eat more ice cream

Little Mister was so busy last night he kept me awake! I had a hard time falling asleep lol I'm very happy to be feeling him now, even though it is WAY less than I'm used to, he is just a super mellow baby right now!
Sister girl must have kicked a nerve last night while I was sitting on my bed. I felt this kick and immediately felt what I can only explain as like an electrical current shoot down both arms! Super weird.
We went to my grandfather's birthday party tonight and baby started kicking up a storm. I literally had a line of people clamoring to feel my belly. So now both sets of grandparents, mom, dad, and sister have all felt baby kick.
@lindsladle15 yeah that's a pretty safe bet haha! It happened some when I was pregnant with DD too, except it was usually just one arm with her so both was like "whoa"
This morning my cat came and acted as my little spoon while I was still in bed. Baby started kicking her like "what is this warm purring thing?" And she was twitching her back in response. First baby kitty meeting melted my heart!
I was able to SEE him kick just now! He's been kicking up a strong storm today. So I was curious. I am on the couch with my shirt up just staring at my belly watching his kicks pop! It's so crazy to see! I even caught him on video so I can show my husband. I am so excited!
This crazy LO is kicking so hard, my entire bump moves. He's also starting to throw elbows (at least I think that's what he's doing in there). He pushes his head or little butt out against my bump. Sometimes it actually hurts. He's doing a lot of weird movement just under the skin (like stretching). My eyes were watering during a meeting the other day. Everyone thought I was crying which was SO sweet. Nope. This peanut is actually just making me uncomfortable. Also the turning makes me nauseous, especially after meals.
@christac1010 I've been there with the uncomfortable movements making your eyes water! It actually happened to me in a disciplinary type meeting with a boss once (I wasn't in real trouble but we were having a tense conversation about something, can't even remember what now!) and DD was beating the crap out of my ribs and it made my eyes water like crazy and then he felt super bad because he thought he had made me cry. Nope. Just baby!
This stinker moves so much all day long and I can feel and see it from the outside but any time DH tries to feel she quits! Same with when I try to get it on video.
With my DS my husband would feel him kick on his back when we were in bed. The first few times it happened he was like "what was that" and then when he realized it was our son he loved it. People didn't get to feel DS much, he just wasn't overly active to the outside. I figure I have a few more weeks at least before I can feel this one from the outside but I'm looking forward to it. I think it becomes more real for DH and I'm really hoping that DS will be able to feel some kicks.
