  • @GeorgiaWife6912 I’m right there with you on forgetting stuff.  It’s amazing how much I have to re-learn this time around.

    @mamashan12 being a mother, I know it can be hard to hear something like that coming from anyone other than a doctor (and then it’s still hard).  My advice is to not talk to them about it alone.  Bring your MIL along since she sees it too and make sure to be compassionate towards their feelings.  Good for you watching out for him!

    @felix08 FX for you!

    @adirat story of my life with bras.  DH is always asking me why I say I need new ones but won’t actually buy new ones.

  • @felix08 Mine isn't so bad and the fact that I had to fast made it a little better because I went in first thing before work and got it done.  Holy run on sentence...but I'm not fixing it because I'm hangry.  haha So I didn't have much time to stress about it when I woke up.  I was mostly just irritated because I was hungry and wanted coffee.  I just try not to look while they do it and that usually helps.  I definitely work myself up way more than is necessary.  I can't imagine having to give myself a shot...but if it came down to it I would do it.  The outcome will definitely be worth all the work to get there.  :)

  • Month/Cycle: 21/12

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: all of the usual plus Metformin

    R/R: I've been a terrible bumper the last few days! I've just been so busy/exhausted. My sleep patterns are horrible and it's showing on my chart. I need to get it together.

    CS/Q:

    GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas because I love gift giving/shopping/wrapping, the decorations, and the holiday church services. Followed by the 4th of July because of the beach and fireworks.

    @JennyV56 I HIO for 2-3 days after a positive OPK (beginning on day of the + test), personally, just so that I don't miss O.

    @delujm0 FX for you this cycle so that you can skip those extra appointments!

    @Saralee797 I share your sentiments towards Christmas. There are just so many people to please and no one wants to budge on age old traditions. It's getting to be burdensome and I don't know how to approach suggesting that it's time to make some new traditions rather than trying to have 3 separate Christmas celebrations over 2 days just so that everyone is happy. I could never say so to my family but I secretly would love to have some time at Christmas to just celebrate with DH and create our own traditions.

    @swimsister Happy belated birthday!

  • @magnolia131 I could not agree more. One year and I literally had a break down because someone was mad we left early and someone was mad we arrived late. I feel like you spend so much money and so much time running around you miss it. I just don't know if I can handle the battle of Xmas conversation! Oh and next year my sister is getting married on the night before NYE. So add that!! I hope you and DH find some time to just sit in front of the tree together this year.
  • @lmc929 it is partially so I don't have to bother DH and also because I am incredibly indecisive in the morning!! I figured out a few years ago that I would much rather pick my clothes out ahead of time and sleep in a little bit than go through all that deciding so early in the morning!

    Im glad you had a good weekend! Spending quality time outdoors always seems to refresh the soul! I bet the colors were amazing!
  • mamashan12 Sorry I'm so late replying-- I can't bump at work. If it is echolalia, here is an article that discusses how to help a child... https://teachmetotalk.com/2008/06/02/echolaliawhat-to-do-about-it/ you have to scroll down to read it. I would list strategies for you but this article covers them so nicely! In terms of an evaluation, it is a mandated that every child receive EI services for free if they need it. Evaluations are free, also. I would google "early intervention" + whatever state you are in to find information. Also, since he is over 2, look into Child Find through the local school district, they provide therapies and schooling once a child turns 3.

    Most pediatricians perform autism screeners at 18 months and 24 months so I'm assuming he has been screened. Like felix08 said, it could be a sensory processing disorder. In that case, he could benefit from occupational therapy services (also provided through EI or school district). I would definitely find a way to bring it up to his parents, but I would caution against mentioning autism, since that word tends to bring a lot of emotion to any discussion. Sending positive thoughts your way! He is very lucky to have you in his life!
  • @jeg07 thank you thank you thank you. I will go through all this info, I appreciate it so much.

    And your right, I wasn't going to bring up the word autism at all. I think that would really scare them, and I don't know if that is even the case so I don't want to do that. I'm hoping to just bring up that I noticed it and then my MIL noticed and I was concerned he might have some issues that would make school harder for him when he gets there. I don't want to freak them out entirely.
