PGAL Check-In (9/7)

Re: PGAL Check-In (9/7)

  • @MollyandD I get that feeling!  With my last two losses I didn't tell anyone except my moms groups who are very supportive.  I never felt pregnant.  For my last two I didn't even bother going to the doctor until after it had started in order to confirm I'd m/c completely.  This time feels really different.  This time I FEEL pregnant.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.

  • 1. Introduce yourself!
Hi. This is my third pregnancy, but will (fingers crossed) be my second birth. I have an almost 3 year-old. My last pregnancy ended in m/c at 12 weeks. I am excited to be joining the board, but still won't believe it or allow myself to get excited until I have an successful ultrasound. I have PCOS and have been doing fertility treatments through a RE. 8 cycles later, we finally got a BFP! I went in for a beta draw today and will go back Wednesday for another, so I am really anxious and hoping everything looks good.

    2. How far along are you?
    4 weeks

    3. How are you doing? What is the next milestone you're looking forward to?
Doing okay. I have had a few symptoms- major breast tenderness and constipation. I am looking forward to getting my beta HCG results. Also, the first ultrasound.

    4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Nothing. I'm kind of feeling an emotional void at the moment.

    5. GTKY: What are you looking forward to this fall?
All things pumpkin spice. Haha. Cooler weather is my favorite part of fall, though.

  • 7 weeks today. I just had one of those is there something wrong moments. I've still got almost 0 symptoms. I know I should be thankful but after my last pregnancy I just can't relaX. Still have 9 days til 1st appointment.
  • @cmillar36 That really sucks that you can't get in for another 9 days! Is there anyway you could get on a cancellation list? That way you could maybe be seen earlier and have some assurance. I've had two friends that had zero symptoms throughout their pregnancy, my one friend didn't even get tired until the 24 week mark and she went on to have a healthy baby. My other friend is still pregnant but all is well. Basically, hang in there, I know having no symptoms is tough though!

  • @roper2617 No there isn't sadly. The earliest they see here is usually 12 weeks. I'm getting seen early for Genetic testing after my stillbirth.
  • @cmillar36 I didn't have any symptoms with my first pregnancy. Not one. I thought for sure something was wrong, but everything went along fine. My second pregnancy, I had horrible morning sickness from 6 weeks onward and it sadly ended in m/c. So, symptoms or lack of don't mean very much, although I understand that they can be reassuring.

  • I never had morning sickness until my last mc either! hang in there!

I heard back from  my dr. The terrible nurse last week was just filling in for my dr's normal nurse who happened to be on vacation. She made me feel so much better and my levels went up and she says they are right for where I should be based on lmp. My ultrasound is in 2 weeks.... ughhh
  • 1. Hi! I'm 34 and my husband is 39. We have been married for almost 2 years. I work as a dental assistant and I love my job! This is my second pregnancy  (we had a loss in July).

    2. I'm currently 4+4

    3. I'm doing ok. I'm happy but feeling cautious.  I'm going to be horribly sad if we lose this pregnancy no matter what, so I'm allowing myself to talk about it and get a little excited.

    4. I spoke to my midwife the day after I got my BFP and they accepted me back as a client!! (It's very hard to get midwife care in Alberta).

    5. I LOVE fall clothes. I look forward to this time of year just so I can break out my fall jackets, sweaters, leggings, scarves, boots lol.

  • 1. Introduce yourself! I'm sqfibemom. I've had two c/p, one in 2011 and another last month. I'm possibly having another one right now so I felt like posting with people who get it <3

    2. How far along are you? 3w6d

    3. How are you doing? What is the next milestone you're looking forward to? I'm pretty rough. My docs won't do any testing for progesterone etc., until I've had another loss so that's frustrating. I'm just really hoping and praying that my bloodwork comes back good (I got my first draw today and I'll get another draw Friday but won't get the results until Tuesday)

    4. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just praying that this baby sticks in there

    5. GTKY: What are you looking forward to this fall? I love the fall, the colours and smells and holidays :) I'm excited for Halloween this year, the kids are all pumped which is nice.
