@LuLiLaEv sorry to make your so hungry! I am also starving and I had breakfast. It's just one of those days.
@antoto sorry to hear about your Christmas. I had to choose between families this year. ILs or mine. Was not fun. I have yet to tell my family I won't be around for fear of backlash.
@adirat It will be a great dinner post boxing class =D
@mrs35 Oh man, I would've been stomping around "accidentally" making as much noise as possible. I'm so not a morning person and DH effing with my routine like that would've annoyed me to no end.
@slavenski I've never experience an earthquake! That has to be terrifying Also, I did my first round of OPKs this cycle. They're cheapies - negative seems to be a faint line, and then they got darker as (I think) I had my surge. They never got as dark as the control line, but I've heard that this is common for cheapies. I kept testing for 5 more days to make sure that I didn't have a false surge..... although I guess I won't know for sure unless I get KU
@mamashan12 that's really tough. Sending good vibes for easy conversations with your brother and SIL.
@LADY324 I'm failing on the caffeine cutback too. I figure I may buy 1/2 caff coffee when I'm KU because I also like to put a bit of matcha green tea in my morning smoothies for the health benefits. Or, try herbal tea instead of coffee....... but I'm pretty sure I'll be a zombie in the mornings.

@eggplantface why do you recommend the regular CB and not the advanced?
Bearing in mind that this is my experience and others love it: I've found that it's more trouble than it's worth. I'd get the flashing smiley for more than the two days they say you're supposed to, which just caused more confusion about when I'd actually O and when we should have sex. Or I wouldn't start testing early enough in my cycle so I'd go from low reading to peak without any warning, negating the entire reason for spending money on the advanced test. I also stopped trusting my own body's signs in favor of this test. And I've been TTC and charting for so long now (ugh) that I can tell when O is coming by CM so I know when to start using the cheap strips.
For the flip side, I think @BusinessWife gets better results with them and can give you her take.

@JennyV56 Yay! for the positive OPK! Fingers crossed for you! @delujm0 Here's hoping this is your month! I am right there with you thinking most of the doctor's appointments were a bit of a nuisance. @maebee87 I am using cheapie OPKs this go round (AccuMed, i think?), because well why not? They seemed to work for everyone else. When I got pregnant with my daughter, i was late to the game and didn't have time to amazon cheapies, so i just used the CVS brand. They worked just fine. Good Luck! @alysapuggles just wanted to say Hi to a cycle buddy!
Month/Cycle: 3/3

WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK's by the end of the week, and then HIO when FW arrives. I don't know how you guys keep up EOD for the whole month or more, my poor DH would disown me.
R/R: Weekends too short. Its Monday already
CS/Q: Nope, though since there has been a lot of talks about OPKs. I want to be clear again that the positive OPK is to tell you that you are about to ovulate yes? That from that point forward you should HIO. My DH feels the pressure of TTC and I am trying to not overwhelm him by over doing it.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? My favorite is Christmas. I like the lead up to it more than the actual day itself. The Music, the parties, people actually getting together. I also like it because when I was in law school. I finally started to stay home on the day of the holiday. I had always been shuffled around when I was a kid, that I didn't want to always be dragged into the hustle of the day that I stayed home and my parents came to me. It has never changed. Now DH and I stay home and we get to have a quieter less mobile day which I love, because unlike being a kid, I have to usually work the next day
@mamashan12 I'm a pediatric SLP that works with birth-three. We see tons of kids with red flags for autism. Let me know if you want to chat more about specific symptoms or about anything else it can be. A tic alone wouldn't indicate autism-- even combined with a speech delay. Since he is social and interactive, it might be something else. When does the tic occur? If it is during speech, look up developmental stuttering, the description might be helpful! I'm happy to chat more if you want
@JennyV56 My best advice would be to HIO until you have confirmed O just to be sure.
@bornmommy I guess I don't follow. If you only just O'd, CD1 wouldn't necessarily be Saturday. How long is your typical LP? That part of your cycle shouldn't vary. Forgive me if I'm missing something.
@delujm0 I know exactly what you mean! I have a few more months, but I've been thinking the same thing. And I'm trying for a first
@LADY324 I've switched to decaf tea. It's not as good as coffee, but it satisfies my need for a hot morning drink
@ladystinson Sorry for the rough CD1. Take care of yourself
@ladystinson Congrats on doing ALL the things this cycle! I like trying to do extra stuff like that because then you know you are doing everything in your power to get that BFP.
@JennyV56 and @slavenski Positive OPK (test line is equal darkness to control line) means that is mostly likely the day before you ovulate. The day before you ovulate is the most fertile day of the whole FW, closely followed by the actual day of ovulation. So you can bang it out either one of those days or both.
@mamashan12 So sorry to hear about your nephew! Maybe your mother can bring up the discussion with your brother instead of you. He might take it better coming from his mother rather than his sister. At least I know my brother would!
jeg07 Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I just talked to my boss who's a pedi neurologist and described some of the behavior I noticed - he's got a tic with his hands, as well as one with his eyes that is combined with some shaking (kind of hard to describe this without showing it to someone). My MIL thinks he has a bit of a speech delay and I mentioned to my boss that I didn't notice that and that he'd been repeating my words all day. He asked me a few more questions and said that it sounded like echolalia and he'd want to have him evaluated for that. He's also in a bilingual home most of the time and we're wondering if that is causing further confusion. There are a couple of behavioral issues as well, a lack of reaction to things as well as refusing to eat.
I was hoping he'd tell me not to worry about it and he'd most likely grow out of it, but he agreed that I should bring the concerns up to his parents to at least have him evaluated. I'm just really concerned that they won't follow up or even take him to the pedi. Is there anything I could be doing with him that might help, in your opinion?
@mamashan12, I'm sorry to hear about your nephew! It will be a tough discussion to have, and they may not be very receptive, but you bringing it up may be enough for them to decide to seek help, even if they never mention it to you and don't appear to be appreciative. @antoto sorry to hear about the holiday plans. Maybe you guys can all have an earlier (or later) holiday get-together? Happy belated birthday @swimsister!!

CS/Q: i was kind of hoping yesterday was O, although I guess it could possibly be today. I didn't sleep well last night, though, and our room was really cold last night so I'm wondering if that affected my temp. I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep for a full 3 hours before my alarm went off, and that's after I pushed it from 5 to 6 because I was still awake at 2:45. I took it again 3.5hrs later and it was a full degree higher so that's probably wrong too... Or maybe I'm making it all up and I'm still waiting to O.

@manillabar Yeah I think that's the plan... but it just wont be the same
As for your chart i think even with those factors it doesn't look like you have ovulated yet. You got a positive OPK yesterday which means you are most likely ovulating TODAY so go home and hump it out!
WAYDTGKU: Charting, PNV, B6, CoQ10, CM, just discontinued EPO, Mucinex, green tea, and OPKs, fertility acupuncture, RRL tea, feeling full and warm from all the baby batter (the thread that troll started was full of comedy gold)
R/R: Kind of wishing OH and I had FWP on Friday night when he came home, but otherwise I'm feeling good about all that we did get in. All signs point to O being CD13 or CD14, so I'm hoping and praying for confirmation of that since OH is back out of town for work. If my temp doesn't continue to be high enough, I will so be jumping into my car for another conjugal visit.

@mamashan12 That's great that he is social--maybe the tics are just a sensory processing issue? Hopefully your brother/SIL are receptive to your input! @swimsister Happy belated birthday! Glad you had a fun weekend. @jeg07 Yes, temping or an U/S are the only ways to confirm ovulation.
@maebee87 - seconding what @eggplantface said - no such thing as a "faint positive" on an OPK. The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control.
@mamashan12 - I'm a resigned sped teacher and I worked primarily in evaluations and eligibilities -- since my degree is in Human Development and ECE -- more so there than actual teaching some years. I had some parents that would push back and deny deny deny and some we could never "get to." In the long run, its their child...nothing you can really do if they don't accept it. Most though we could get through to by keeping up with evidence and really showing them peer comparisons. It might be really hard for family to be telling your brother... maybe asking how your nephew's pedi appts are going and such would be a good start. "What milestones is "nephew" supposed to be reaching now?" , "Did they give you that form that talks about eye contact and other behaviors?" etc etc. FWIW - DS1 had a minor speech delay too and was in EI for a year. If they were to get him evaluated through EI, the county usually pays for the evaluation and services are either free or discounted. That is, if they go for it. GL
@tentoeturbo - Its just what I am "set for," ya know? ***startTW***I've had a LPD since my D&E.***endTW*** So my hopes aren't totally high that I won't start spotting by thursday and flood gates open on Saturday. its possible my body is fixing itself. @EL824 & @TheMrs Thanks for the encouragement. I really have to push myself to work out, I literally check the clock counting the time down BUT I really need to get into shape so no excuses! Stay strong ladies!
@Delumjm0 Thanks for your input- Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing OPK stress and long cycles
@alysapuggles & @Marley629 2-3x testing a day? I have been just temping and relying on my CM to know when my FW is. This Cycle I want to try to use OPKs again, so maybe more testing is key but only in my FW week as to not run out so quickly since my cycles are so long and irregular.
@eggplantface and @bornmommy I guess the OPKs were always negative then because the second line was always super light. I want the guess work out so I think the CB digital is the way to go. Thank you both!
@maebee87 I am a clock checker too! I think I look at the clock every 5 minutes at during my 1 hour class. I should stop it probably makes it feel longer.
@maebee87 Yes, only using that many during FW! Sorry I didn't clarify. I use BBT and CM to narrow it down. For example, once I see ewcm, I might start with twice, once in afternoon and once in evening. When I start to see it darkening, I will add in a 3rd test to make sure I catch it. I never did it that much before but one time I got what I thought was probably positive, so I checked again a few hours later and it was already back to negative. So it literally came and went within a few hour window which I could have easily missed. But yes, only during the FW in general!
Echoing @alysapuggles I only get a "true" positive within a short window, but I get a gradual darkening over a couple of days which is good enough for me to HIO before my temp spike. Others get a definitive positive testing once per day. This seems to vary widely from woman to woman. I usually do one per day at first then two per day. I also start OPKs only when I start getting watery CM or EWCM, which is usually 4-5 days before I O. (My CM alone isn't a good signal of O because it's very hydration dependent -- if I go hiking, for instance, my CM disappears until I'm thoroughly hydrated again.)
@mamashan12 sorry to hear about the situation with your nephew. That's hard. Hopefully your brother and SIL realize you're bringing it up because you love your nephew and they will be receptive to hearing your concerns out.
@felix08 I am an early(ish) O-er. Nothing crazy but definitely before CD14. Between CD 11-13 typically. I have been having watery/EWCM the past two days so I am wondering if I will O sooner rather than later. That's my only concern about not getting my temp yesterday morning. I know its not the end of the world, but still.
@antoto ,@adiratThanks for the input on my chart! That makes sense, hopefully H and I can make the best of today and come out with ok timing
@littlebug2010 yup! My husband gets tired of it so I don't play it aloud too much but once my headphones are on, all bets are off! I used to be obsessed with the trans-Siberian orchestra, too... Still hoping to get to see them one day!

@bornmommy thank you so much for the info. My MIL sent me some EI resources as well, and I'm hoping he just needs a year or two of EI. I'm hoping offering to pay for the evaluation might be helpful for my brother and SIL as well.
And thank you everyone for the advice, I really appreciate it. I really hope I'm totally wrong, but id rather piss off my brother than do a disservice to my nephew.
@MommytoM13 Haha chipotle always seems like an awesome idea until that feeling hits!! Then, I am sitting at my desk with my pants unbuttoned for the rest of the day.
@linzrunz I love getting new glasses! I also got poked with a needle this morning. And, ugh, I was actually thinking how awful it would be to have an aversion to needles/blood and go through infertility testing. Hopefully it will all be worth it, right? ;-)
@shstephenson Oh, yeah, if you might ovulate on CD11, then that temp is much more important. Either way, I'm guessing you'll still see a shift, so don't sweat it!

IT'S A BOY!
CD:6
Now DH and I stay home and we get to have a quieter less mobile day which I love, because unlike being a kid, I have to usually work the next day
My Ovulation Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/CallMeMrsChaos/
CD: 13
WAYDTGKU: temping, OPK, CM
R/R: My temp spiked way up this morning, right on time. I wish we would have BD on Saturday, that would make me a little more optimistic. It's Monday
CS/Q: I read on here a few times that either temping or OPKs will let you know if you O for sure. I'm assuming temping, right?
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Christmas! Family, cold weather, music, decorations, everything! Not to mention a week off of work!
Me: 36 DH: 41
@bornmommy I guess I don't follow. If you only just O'd, CD1 wouldn't necessarily be Saturday. How long is your typical LP? That part of your cycle shouldn't vary. Forgive me if I'm missing something.
@delujm0 I know exactly what you mean! I have a few more months, but I've been thinking the same thing. And I'm trying for a first
@LADY324 I've switched to decaf tea. It's not as good as coffee, but it satisfies my need for a hot morning drink
@ladystinson Sorry for the rough CD1. Take care of yourself
@swimsister Happy belated birthday!
Month/Cycle: 6 TTCAL
CD: 46
WAYDTGKU: the usual
R/R: it's Monday and I'm covering 3 work colleagues this week. I'm pretty sure my week will go something like this:
CS/Q: nope, nothing to see here
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? I love Christmas. The lights, time with family, hymns, decorations.
@Saralee797 Sorry you're getting frustrated
@antoto sorry to hear about the holiday plans. Maybe you guys can all have an earlier (or later) holiday get-together?
Happy belated birthday @swimsister!!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: temping, tracking CM, Opk's
R/R: It's Monday, boooo! I'm going to go crazy waiting for my week off next week. I just want to lay in bed all day... Plus I think I may have caught a cold from my niece... blegh
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Christmas! Always has been. The music, family, decorations, services, time off, I love it all! And I totally listen to Christmas music year round
edited to fix typo- I really need to start proof-reading these!

BFP#3 from IUI #2: 6/30/20 EDD 3/9/21

WAYDTGKU: Temping, HIO, OPKs
R/R: AF has departed so now I'm just watching to begin OPKs around CD13 or so. Also, my family is coming back from Seattle today! I am so excited to see them after having not been able to for three months.
CS/Q: None right now
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
I love Christmas because it has always been a great time to see family and just have an excuse to be lazy together. But I also really enjoy 4th of July as well because that means it's summer and there's usually a festival going on.
As for your chart i think even with those factors it doesn't look like you have ovulated yet. You got a positive OPK yesterday which means you are most likely ovulating TODAY so go home and hump it out!
CD: 16
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: I love Christmas so much, but I have to agree with @bumpybump that Easter is the best. I used to love shopping for my Easter dress, the weather is usually pretty perfect around here at that time, and I just love the renewal of spring.

TTC my bio #1/our #2 since January 2016
**TW** June 2016 had CP **end TW**
August 2016 - dx with DOR
Somewhere in here received recommendation to do IVF with donor eggs, elected not to; OH dx with Low T
May 2017 - began freezing sperm
June 2017 - OH began treatment for Low T
July 2017 - began doing 1 IUI via a midwife and 1 at home insemination each cycle
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6259ba
July 2018 - exhausted frozen sperm, officially NTNP since OH is probably shooting blanks
"You're normal until you're not." I know. I honestly think I only O'ed (will confirm with temps) because I just stopped vitex and my body will continue to follow its normal "screw you, you're getting a short LP this cycle again!" cycle but FX I'm wrong

@BoshnJonnie Haha, thanks! I agree, but maybe I'll jinx myself in the best way like @LuND said.
@manillabar So frustrating about having a bad temping ordeal the day you want to confirm o! I have been there. FX tomorrow is a good clear shift for you. I agree with what @antoto said that today could also be O.
WTO is hopping this morning!
Month/Cycle: 13/13
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPKs, baseline labs this morning, back on CD25 for more
R/R: I had a migraine all weekend which totally sucked. Then I had to get poked with a needle first thing this morning. I hate needles!! And blood. But it's over and I don't have to do it again for two weeks. On the bright side, I have an eye doctor appointment in a little while and I'm totally going to pick out some cute new glasses!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? I'd say Thanksgiving. No pressure to get gifts for anyone. It happens during my favorite season. It's all about hanging out with family, eating, and being lazy.
