  • Loading the player...
  • @eggplantface two things. (1) LOVE the Princess Bride gif. <3 (2) my husband/his family are huge Steelers fans so we will also be watching that game.

    @bornmommy I have been craving the steaks since we bought them yesterday. Sorry I got you wanting them too. So yummy!

  • @maebee87 good luck with working out! Just about a month ago I started with Title Boxing and it has been a chore to keep myself on track. I have had to talk myself into going so many times! However it is really rewarding when you have over come your own objections and do it! :)
  • @maebee87 I have long-ish cycles too, I ovulate anywhere from CD19-31 (lifetime; after DD it's been between CD 22-26 every time).  When we were TTC DD, I used OPKs for the first few cycles, but they just annoyed me.  I would ALWAYS have at least a faint line, and then several times I would see positive OPKs but not ovulate.  Thankfully I was temping, so I knew what was happening, but I would see multiple rounds of positive OPKs before ovulating most times.  Finally, we just decided that we'd wait until somewhere around CD7 and just have sex EOD until temps confirmed ovulation.  So OF COURSE the cycle I conceived DD I ovulated on day 31, the latest I have ever ovulated, and we were having sex EOD for 3+ weeks by then.  We were so over it.  but it worked, so I can't complain.

    Basically, if you're willing to just suck it up and have sex EOD combined with temping, OPKs aren't totally necessary.  But if your cycles are really long and you don't want to keep up EOD sex indefinitely, they can be helpful.  I'm not using them this time around either.  But based on my history, I'm also not starting EOD until around day 14 now, so it's a lot more tolerable.

    @slavenski that gif is everything!

  • @mamashan12 sorry to hear about your nephew :( hope it all turns out okay
  • Thanks @EL824

    @CrystalPDX I'm a restless sleeper too, and am up with DD sometimes. Do the best you can with temping, you still end up getting a clear shift in temps. Make notes in FF when you can. If I'm more than an hour off of my usual temping time I use the temp adjuster and make a note in my chart.

  • @LADY324 I love my coffee too. I cut back to one cup of regular and the other is decaf. When/if I get KU I'll cut the whole thing out like I did last time. Even at that they say 200 mg is fine, which is about a cup.

  • @mamashan12 I'm sorry about your nephew! That will be a difficult conversation. I hope it goes well and they hear you out.
  • @felix08 My MIL and I noticed the tics and she thought he might have a minor speech delay. I personally haven't noticed anything else - he's super friendly and will hold anyone's hand. I'm not sure it's autism but I really feel like something isn't quite right. My MIL was wondering if he might have a subtle form of aspergers. I'm trying not to speculate until I can convince my brother and SIL to take him to the pedi to talk about it.

  • @swimsister Happy Birthday!!! My DH's parents are divorced so we usually end up running around the whole time. I would love to just have the holiday at our house but my MIL doesn't want to give it up yet and half of the family doesn't want to travel into the city. I just know I would love the holiday even more if we could simplify things. Maybe when everyone starts having kids... everything would be solved if I could just get KU see? haha
  • @eggplantface why do you recommend the regular CB and not the advanced?
