GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? This is a hard question...It used to be Thanksgiving before my grandma got ill, and then passed away last year. I think now it is Halloween just because I enjoy my niece's costumes and how happy she is.
R/R: finally got a positive opk this morning after not ovulating last cycle!
CS/Q: the Wondfo instructions say to HIO more than 24 hours after a positive opk but less than 48 hours. Do you all follow that rule? I'm worried I'll miss it if I wait another day.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? It's got to be Christmas. It's so fun to get immersed in the spirit: watching lifetime movies, listing to xmas music, going to holiday parties, etc. I love it every year.
R/R: DH works nights and I work days. Every Sunday I pick my clothes out for the week and then put them in the spare room so I don't have to wake him up while I get ready every morning. One of his coworkers is staying with us for a few days so I put my clothes in the laundry room. After I went to bed he moved my clothes "to where they belong" not thinking it through. So this morning I was not happy and didn't want to go wake up some man in my spare room.. So I am not wearing the outfit I wanted to and had to keep DH up while I figured it out. Needless to say I didn't really mind keeping him up this morning!
CS/Q: not today.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas!! My mom used to own a year round Christmas store. I basically grew up in the back room listening to Christmas music everyday. Picking out and decorating trees is my favorite!

@EL824 - now I want steak... at 8am in the morning... @JennyV56 - Yay for a positive OPK! I try to HIO every day during my fertile window. If you got a positive today it could mean ovulation today or tomorrow. Your egg only lives 12-24 hours after exiting your ovary so having sex 48 hours after O isn't your fertile window. Basically, if you have sex every other day, you should technically hit your O since sperm live in your ute up to 7 days (or something weird like that...)

CS/Q: Nothing yet - maybe in a few days.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Tie between Halloween and Birthdays (All birthdays). Halloween is going to go to the wayside in a few years when it becomes less of a "family" holiday as the kids get older but I love everything about birthdays. I birthday bomb my friends and family with balloons, sidewalk chalk, send things to their work, etc. I just love celebrating the people in my life.

CS/Q: I did my first OPK today. I had a faint second line but it's still fairly early for me to O (I think). Am I looking for the line to get darker and then once it gets lighter again I know the LH has spiked?
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Thanksgiving. I love food, hence the food documentary.

WAYDTGKU: nothing much yet...just PNVs, temping, waiting on CM to show up
R/R: Realized that this is the last cycle where I can get pregnant and still deliver before turning 35. I don't personally feel like there is that big of a difference between 34 and 35, but my doctor makes you do all of the AMA nonsense for the full pregnancy if you are going to be 35 on the due date...so that is a bummer. The first time around I felt like half of the appointments were pointless, and now there will be twice as many of them. Unless my body can pull it together this cycle. Come on body YOU CAN DO IT.
CS/Q: Nope, I've never ovulated prior to CD19, so I won't even start EOD until next weekend.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas I think. We get an awesome huge tree, and I like the music, and we go visit our families, so it's pretty fun.
WAYDTGKU: temping, tracking CM, pre-seed, PNV, no caffeine
R/R: I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I would be after a full body workout. I'm new to working out again and trying to stick with it this time. No excuses!
CS/Q: I've tried OPKs in the past (the cheapies on Amazon) and I had a faint positive every time I took them. I have long irregular cycles but I felt they didn't work for me. I'm on the wait list to see a specialist (a year wait, thanks Canada.) what kind of OPK do you recommend? Or should I save my money?
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Hands down Christmas. The decorations, movies, music, feast, parties and presents and my DS make it so special.
@maebee87 good luck with working out! Just about a month ago I started with Title Boxing and it has been a chore to keep myself on track. I have had to talk myself into going so many times! However it is really rewarding when you have over come your own objections and do it!
WAYDTGKU: PNV, CoQ10, BBT, green tea, we've already started HIO as much as we can, preseed, about to start with the Mucinex and OPKs
R/R: Why are weekends so short?
CS/Q: Nope. I accidently left my Mabis at home when I went out of town over the weekend so I am missing Sunday's temp. And it really bothers me.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? I love, love, LOVE Christmas. The traditions, the music, the decorations, the meaning. Everything. I also really love all things Halloween.
@JennyV56 Whoo hoo for a positive OPK! I try to HIO every day in my fertile window. At the minimum every other day. I would be afraid you would miss your FW if you follow their instructions.
@slavenski that gif- I literally LOL'd. I think on the wondfos the second line needs to be as dark or darker as the control line to consider it a positive, so those may be the same.
@maebee87 getting past that initial soreness is the hardest part! Stick with it and you will feel so much better! As for OPKs, I am not a fan of the wondfos either and in the past (and now starting again today actually) I used the clear blue advanced. I'm a fan of the digital readings. No guessing!
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, Vit D, OPKs, bbt/chart, HIO with preseed during fw
R/R: I worked the weekend so I get thurs-sunday off. Pleeeeeease hurry up.
CS/Q: I am starting ttc again this month and I feel like ive forgotten so much since the first time. I dug out TCOYF to freshen up on stuff, but can someone please remind me what the mucinex and the green tea are for? I know it has something to do with CM but for the life of me cant remember.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Thanksgiving. The whole family is together and there is no stress of how much money you have or don't have to spend on gifts, etc. Just lots of family time and eating.
@maebee87 I have long-ish cycles too, I ovulate anywhere from CD19-31 (lifetime; after DD it's been between CD 22-26 every time). When we were TTC DD, I used OPKs for the first few cycles, but they just annoyed me. I would ALWAYS have at least a faint line, and then several times I would see positive OPKs but not ovulate. Thankfully I was temping, so I knew what was happening, but I would see multiple rounds of positive OPKs before ovulating most times. Finally, we just decided that we'd wait until somewhere around CD7 and just have sex EOD until temps confirmed ovulation. So OF COURSE the cycle I conceived DD I ovulated on day 31, the latest I have ever ovulated, and we were having sex EOD for 3+ weeks by then. We were so over it. but it worked, so I can't complain.
Basically, if you're willing to just suck it up and have sex EOD combined with temping, OPKs aren't totally necessary. But if your cycles are really long and you don't want to keep up EOD sex indefinitely, they can be helpful. I'm not using them this time around either. But based on my history, I'm also not starting EOD until around day 14 now, so it's a lot more tolerable.
R/R: I've noticed that my nephew has some tic like behavior. He's nearly 2 1/2, and I know this is about the time they start diagnosing autism/aspergers like behaviors (I work in pedi neurology). I've noticed it for roughly a year and was hoping he'd grow out of it. I took him to an amusement park with us this weekend and I saw my MIL's face when she noticed it (she's a retired spec.ed teacher) and I just knew she knew something was off. I asked her about it yesterday and she confirmed my suspicions. I'm going to talk to my boss about what he thinks today, but I'm dreading talking to my brother and sister in law about this. They are more than likely going to be resistant to doing anything about it and this is going to be an uphill battle if I'm right. I also feel like an ass for not saying something sooner, but I was really hoping I was wrong and they don't diagnose things like that before 2. It's still weighing heavy on me.
CS/Q: Nada.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Thanksgiving - I get to eat all my favorite foods and I don't have to buy anyone gifts And this year my wedding anniversary falls on Thanksgiving.
@delujm0 I am also thinking about what differences there may be in prenatal care since I am definitely over 35 lol It's kind of nice in a way, but I'm sure some of it will feel pointless. I can't wait to be referred to as an "elderly" mother or "geriatric" mother! Ha!
@maebee87 I don't know how often you were using the OPKs, but it's somewhat easy to miss the actual positive (where the line is as dark or darker than the control), as it can come and go quickly. I've not had issues with them but do end up using them 2-3x/day during those days to make sure I can catch it.

Nothing chart related, but can any of you tell me about green tea? I've been doing some reading and overall it seems to be a good thing fertility wise as long as you stick to a cup? I've been looking into some things for DH to take too and so far have come up with Vit C and Zinc. I'm still researching, but what other supplements have you all decided were worthwhile for yourself/DH? Trying to get all healthy since we are getting old lol
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Well, I do love Thanksgiving for the food, which is a great way to measure holiday joy. However, I love the month or so leading up to Christmas (decorations, music, TV shows) and seeing the fun DS has so that's up there too. Plus, Christmas cookies!
When you say "faint positive" are you talking about the faint line that shows up most of the time? Because on a Wondfo there's not really a possibility of a "faint" positive, only an "almost" or "glaring" positive, because the test line has to be as dark as the control line to be considered positive. If you want to take the guess work out of it get the CB digital (not the advanced digital, the regular one) and then you just wait for the smiley face. They're more expensive so I don't recommend those for when you're waiting forever to ovulate, but if you see the test line on the Wondfo get a little darker each time you can switch to the digital until it's positive.
CM will also be a good indicator of when you're about to ovulate, if you are able to check it. I used to use the advanced CB digital but now that I've been checking my CM for 1.5 years I'm well aware when the estrogen surge is happening so I ditched it. That and the false positives I kept getting

R/R: I'm frustrated. Absolutely no EWCM to speak of this month. OPKs seem to get darker but not dark enough. I am just so tired of this shhhh I shouldn't be here.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas is actually my favorite holiday but I also find it to be the most stressful. My MIL has been having an extra party the Saturday before (in addition to alternating between Xmas Eve or Day) which I just find to be so unnecessary. I can see that the traditions are all going to have to change soon because it is becoming unworkable but I am not sure how to approach it. It is my favorite holiday because it is so fun to decorate and see family and eat food lol.
R/R: Day 1 of temping and already off to a bad start, woke up an hour and a half before my alarm went off but didn't temp until I had laid there for an hour. I am a restless sleeper so I have a feeling temping is gonna to be a little off.
Also, Monday.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas! I love the whole season, especially having my house decorated, and cozying up in my living room with the tree and a pretty mantel. Also like all the extra social events that happen, drinking, wearing dressy sweaters, over eating...
@CrystalPDX I'm a restless sleeper too, and am up with DD sometimes. Do the best you can with temping, you still end up getting a clear shift in temps. Make notes in FF when you can. If I'm more than an hour off of my usual temping time I use the temp adjuster and make a note in my chart.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK's, tracking CM BD everyday during fertile window
CS/Q: I can't give up my morning cup of coffee any tips on how to cut back? I figured I will stick with the caffeine until I actually get knocked up. Then maybe do 1/2 regular 1/2 decaf?
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas I just love listening to the holiday music and now that I have a 3 year old I feel like I get to relive it through a child's eyes now. He is obsessed with anything Santa. We watch home alone all year long!!
@LADY324 I love my coffee too. I cut back to one cup of regular and the other is decaf. When/if I get KU I'll cut the whole thing out like I did last time. Even at that they say 200 mg is fine, which is about a cup.
WAYDTGKU: AF just exited, so waiting for some CM and then all the things. . .
R/R: Didnt do a lot this weekend, so that was nice. I have to run this week though, because Im running the Insane Inflatable 5k on Saturday with my DH, who is a runner.
CS/Q: none today
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas!!!! Ive mentioned it before too, but I start listening to the music in late September. If I could responsibly decorate right after Halloween I would. I just love everything about the season.

@felix08 My MIL and I noticed the tics and she thought he might have a minor speech delay. I personally haven't noticed anything else - he's super friendly and will hold anyone's hand. I'm not sure it's autism but I really feel like something isn't quite right. My MIL was wondering if he might have a subtle form of aspergers. I'm trying not to speculate until I can convince my brother and SIL to take him to the pedi to talk about it.

R/R: nothing really to rant about except that its monday... rave about DH. So yesterday was cd1. didnt start until about 7pm last night. Other than sore boobs, I had no signs. at all. whatsoever. So it hit a little harder than it should have. I just found out on Wednesday that my ex-SIL who is an idiot is pregnant with her 2nd, one of my old co-workers posted on facebook a pic from a labor day cook out with their 3 kids, and her and her DH holding a sign that said "our labor day isnt until March 2017" on top of the steady stream of newborn pics on facebook..... I broke down, just a little. DH held me and we talked. And eventually he just held me, and I cried and we fell asleep together. And this morning, I cried and he was there and his usual amazing self. @maebee87 so I use the wondfo's and when I get closer to FW (CD9-13) I use them 3 times a day or I would likely miss my positive OPK since my surge is on the shorter side. Do you use them just once a day? I also use the CBAD but that has steered me wrong in the past. The wondfo's have always been in line with my temperature shift.
@JennyV56 - I didnt even know those were the wondfo directions. I do not wait 24 hours or I would likely miss O - I was told to HIO as soon as you get a postiive OPK

@swimsister Happy Birthday!!! My DH's parents are divorced so we usually end up running around the whole time. I would love to just have the holiday at our house but my MIL doesn't want to give it up yet and half of the family doesn't want to travel into the city. I just know I would love the holiday even more if we could simplify things. Maybe when everyone starts having kids... everything would be solved if I could just get KU see? haha
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Usually Christmas because that's when I see family but this year my whole family will either be in New Zealand or Afghanistan so this year is going to suck pretty hard.
@JennyV56 Woohoo for O! Especially after anovulatory cycle. I do EOD but when I see that positive OPK, I usually try to do ED ;-)
@slavenski Yes, they should darken over a couple of days. I usually go back to a stark white after my darkest OPK, but some ladies fade back out.
@mamashan12 What a tough situation. I'm sorry that they likely won't be responsive. But honestly, long term, they should be grateful that you are trained to notice those things (and maybe someday they will be).

WAYDTGKU: everything. (ran out of OPKs though and stopped vitex. Pretty sure thats why I'm seeing EWC and a spike today.
R/R: really hoping yesterday/today is my O. Big temp spike today so FX. But since I'm due for CD1 on Saturday, I'm not too optimistic that my LP will allow anything to happen.

@eggplantface two things. (1) LOVE the Princess Bride gif.
(2) my husband/his family are huge Steelers fans so we will also be watching that game.
@bornmommy I have been craving the steaks since we bought them yesterday. Sorry I got you wanting them too. So yummy!

WAYDTGKU:
RRL, PNVs, preseed, and OPKs too
R/R: We had 2 earthquakes today, a 5.1 and 5.8 or something like that. Coming from NH I'm definitely not used to it but I kept on watching my documentary on French food. DH got home late but I'm letting him do his video games now so hopefully I can get him to BD before bed.
TTC since August 2018

WAYDTGKU not a lot at the moment!
R/R: yesterday we went on a walking trail along a river, then went out for ice cream. It was a really fun and silly date
CS/Q: nope!
GTKY: hmmm... I love thanksgiving and Christmas! It just feels happy and festive
Month/Cycle: 2/2

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, OPKs, Charting/Temping, BD in FW
R/R: So excited to meet up with a friend and her son today at the zoo. We haven't seen each other for most of the summer so it'll be fun. Tonight we have a Yelp Elite event at a new restaurant that's really hard to get into. So excited about that too. I'm looking forward to some good Southern food.
CS/Q: None
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Easter. I love the flowers, the breakfast at church, the weather is typically getting warmer, the candy (especially jelly beans), and the meaning.

CS/Q:
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Christmas!! We all meet at my dads and make brunch and then open presents!
CD: 8
Month/Cycle:10/2/TTCAL

CD: 7
WAYDTGKU: PNV, CoQ10, BBT, green tea, we've already started HIO as much as we can, preseed, about to start with the Mucinex and OPKs
R/R: Why are weekends so short?
CS/Q: Nope. I accidently left my Mabis at home when I went out of town over the weekend so I am missing Sunday's temp. And it really bothers me.
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
I love, love, LOVE Christmas. The traditions, the music, the decorations, the meaning. Everything. I also really love all things Halloween.

@slavenski that gif- I literally LOL'd. I think on the wondfos the second line needs to be as dark or darker as the control line to consider it a positive, so those may be the same.
@tripledaggerWed95976 Yay for AF gtfo!
@delujm0 hugs! Hopefully this is the cycle!
@maebee87 getting past that initial soreness is the hardest part! Stick with it and you will feel so much better! As for OPKs, I am not a fan of the wondfos either and in the past (and now starting again today actually) I used the clear blue advanced. I'm a fan of the digital readings. No guessing!

WAYDTGKU: All the things.
Thanksgiving - I get to eat all my favorite foods and I don't have to buy anyone gifts
Edit: jumped the gun, cycle day 7, not 8.
@slavenski that gif is everything!
@JennyV56 I don't even look at those instructions. lol We just keep HIO until crosshairs basically.
@bornmommy FX for O and good LP!
@Nelbetron That sounds like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!
@tripledaggerWed95976 Yay for AF gone!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: Nothing but PNVs the last week.
R/R: AF finally gone!
CS/Q: Nothing chart related, but can any of you tell me about green tea?
Me: 36 DH: 41

CD:2
WAYDTGKU: temping, OPKs, Raspberry leaf tea
CD: 7 AF is gone woo hoo!
CD: 8
WAYDTGKU: AF just exited, so waiting for some CM and then all the things. . .
R/R: Didnt do a lot this weekend, so that was nice. I have to run this week though, because Im running the Insane Inflatable 5k on Saturday with my DH, who is a runner.
CS/Q: none today
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Christmas!!!! Ive mentioned it before too, but I start listening to the music in late September. If I could responsibly decorate right after Halloween I would. I just love everything about the season.

@mamashan12 Is your nephew demonstrating any other characteristics of autism?
@alysapuggles As far as I know, the green tea is just to increase fertile CM. My RE told H to take vitamins E & C along with CoQ10. I also take Coq10 per RE suggestion.

GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
100% Halloween!! Always has been! I just love the darkness and excitement and that scary movies play non-stop through October!
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: DH and I are on multivitamins to increase his vit c, b12 and zinc and to get my D3 up. Been avoiding saliva as much as possible (not much used and used rarely, but still) actually temping this month (got 2 days in last month before giving up) HIO EOD until FW then ED. Sleeping more, drinking more water (less/no soda) no fast food, etc etc
And its ok, its gonna be ok. He's more than I can ever express....
CS/Q: nothing yet
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why? Christmas. Just is, always has been. I love the decorating, crafting, cooking/baking, spending time with family, special church services, etc. (I love halloween, too; but thats not technically a holiday lol)

@GeorgiaWife6912 The mucinex and green tea are supposed to help increase fertile CM (EWCM); I did notice a slight difference using green tea last cycle so kicking it up a notch this cycle.

CS/Q: Those dealing with MFI, what are the recommendations for frequency of BD'ing? I know it isn't very good to do ED which we never accomplish anyway - but is it better to just get -1,0 etc or does it not matter and its really just luck of the draw?
GTKY: Which holiday is your favorite, and why?
Another Halloween here - which growing up, I despised. I don't even like the trick or treating or costume aspect of Halloween - but I really enjoy pumpkin picking/decorating/carving and the hayrides and apple cider and farm trips I take with DS ..we pretty much hit up a new farm every weekend from now until Halloween so it keeps us busy and outside!!
