We did it mamas! I couldn't find a board open for birthday parties (please forgive me if I missed it) but I wanted to start one to celebrate all our hard work over this year! One year ago at this time we were sharing birth announcements, and today we celebrate such a huge milestone! Go us!!
I wanna see birthday parties! Give me details on what made it special! Please share!
Our little introvert was not comfortable with all the attention on him hahaha our family flew in from California (to Hawaii) to celebrate with us so it was extra special! And for the smash cake, one of my girlfriends found a vegan/sugar free recipe online (pretty sure it's just bananas and applesauce) so our boy was asleep before his party was even over! Hah!
Cute!! Love the balloons spelling out happy birthday! Awesome that your fam traveled so far to celebrate!
I did a ton of planning and crafts for our party. Some of my favorite things were the balloon wreath that I made for the door and all the stuff I made with pictures. I made cupcake toppers with his face and party hats that I just loved. And people took them home and put them up. I keep getting pictures from people of my little Judah faces all over their homes. I also did a guest book so people could leave him a note about his future and their hopes and dreams for him, and it's in that Dr Suess bday book so we will have that forever
looking forward to to seeing what others did and stealing their ideas for the next party!
SO CUTE! You didn't miss one detail! Great work mama! And our little boys name it Judah too! Great taste I see
I know! I was like does that cake say Judah?!! I know no others judahs, how funny! What middle name dos you choose? We went with Alexander DH picked Judah before we were pregnant and I was like no way. Then it grew on me and now I just love it so much!
Our little miss ava's birthday party is not until Sunday but I have to share a few of her one year photos. Saved a ton by doing them myself so dh let me splurg on the party a little more.
Oh my gosh you all are making me feel like such a slacker! Haha! His party is on Saturday, which is the day before my sisters wedding that I'm in, and I work during his naps so I haven't had time to make any decorations and probably won't have time to do any. Next year I'll get it together lol

Lol same here!! My daughter's birthday was the 18th of August and I didn't make any cutesy stuff at all. Simple party favors (stickers, slinky, lollipops in a little plastic bag with a thank you tag) and tied a ribbon around some mason jars with necklace glow sticks. That was the extent of the work I did.
I I did order some bumblebee theme type decorations off amazon last minute. My MIL and SILs set it up since we had the party at their house.
My SIL also made a palm sized raw carrot cake for my daughter to eat (and a bigger healthy cake for everyone else too). So yeah besides making a lot of the food (my family helped some) I didn't do much.

Today was supposed to be our party day, but last night my poor little guy started vomiting all over the place and ran a fever! Poor little stinker isn't puking today but he still feels sick. We'll try again next week!
Had a party today! Most people couldn't make it, had 5 people show, but it was really just for us, and now I don't need to cook tomorrow!
I am totally in love with the bunting I made, it says 'Adelaide is one'. I couldn't take it down... I might leave it there for the month and then cut off the 'is one' an hang it over her bed...
We ha a great party today. We just had our close family. We did Alice in Onederland. I made all the decorations and the cakes. It was a lot of work but I loved it all! Can't believe a year has already come and gone.
We didn't do a theme, but I based his party decorations off of the color scheme of his invitation. It served as a faux-housewarming for us too and it was great to finally have people over to our new home!
