Re: I haven't pooped in 4 days...

  • Also, strangely a McDonald's quarter-pounder with cheese was the only thing that produced relief for me during my last pregnancy. I craved them, but they also helped me poop. I limited my consumption though, about once a week.
This. I craved them all pregnancy and had one about once a week and man did they help me poop.

  • My OB told me to switch to the Gummy Prenatals, since they don't have Iron in them. (my Iron is good so I don't need to worry about having the extra from the Prenatal) It has helped somewhat!
  • drink some coffee, then take a walk. just make sure you're walking distance to a toilet!
  • I know this is late, I will back up the apple juice recommendation as well as grape juice. Both have worked for me.
  • @yogahh hahahah! I got runs for dayyys over here. Three days ago, I went like six times.

  • I have the opposite problem.  Prior to being pregnant, I always had constipation issues.  Now it's clockwork every day and much looser - not complaining.
However, I find that mild senna laxative does help with constipation - and I checked with my doctor who said it is safe in pregnancy up to 30 weeks, after that it can induce labour in high doses because of the cramping it gives, but prior to, it's perfectly safe in low doses.   Start with the tiniest dose maybe half a tablet, and see if it works, if not, try going a bit higher. Good luck, I know how awful it can be!
