  • @LauraPCOS I've literally had that exact conversation with my husband haha

@krzyriver good! Fingers crossed you don't have any more.

  • @LauraPCOS I am glad I'm not the only one but it still sucks we both have to go through it. I was never such a crier with my other two pregnancies so this has for sure caught me by surprise.

  • @lauraPCOS and @schell2013 I feel like such a baby lately.  I almost cried yesterday when my husband said he had a call at 5 p.m.  I thought he was going to miss dinner and bedtime (I put my son's pajamas on and leave the room, husband reads books and puts him in bed) and it was just too much for me apparently.  Ridiculous.

My symptom - I have not been able to get comfortable sitting or standing for the last few hours.  Sitting nauseates me and if I stand, I get a shooting pain down my left inner thigh that makes my leg buckle a little bit.  I would just lie down but I have to chase my toddler around.  Hope this goes away soon.
  • @krzyriver with DS I went into L&D because i thought I was leaking... I was soaking through my underwear. It was just watery discharge. I had A LOT of it. With this pregnancy, I have a lot too and have to wear a specific secret brand dry wicking panty liner to not feel wet 24/7. I also think when you are concentrating on it, you feel the actual discharge come out- like you're more sensitive to it. I am constantly thinking I am bleeding and it's just discharge coming out.

When my water did break- I literally felt a pop and the fluid was clear and also had some pink. I don't remember it smelling.
  • odorless excessive gas.'
  • Apparently I've suddenly developed a snoring problem. DH said it started two nights ago.  :/

  • Add me to the watery discharge group, I swear I need to do loads of laundry for just undies. I put panty liners on and they just don't work for me, the real thing ones. I don't want to wear a pad because I know I'll get a rash from sweating. Ughhh.
  • @UponAStar16 true story, H is a runner and had used diaper cream to prevent chafing on his thighs during long runs. I started copying his move and using it for summer chub rub on my thighs when I'm wearing dresses and it's great!

Also Im convinced "the glow" is just a nice way to say sweaty lol
  • @scostel2 oh ok good, I'm glad that idea wasn't BSC. And, I was glowing like the Sun then for a few hours yesterday for some reason!
  • Y'all, my baby has wedged himself against my right hip and it is the most painful thing I have expirenced yet this pregnancy. I will be doing all the inversions and squats to try and move him today.
  • @NicholeL16 ugh I know that feeling. He keeps pushing his butt into my ribs and his head into my hip.

  • @NicholeL16 My little dude likes to play the drums on my right hip bone. He's been doing it for weeks. It's not painful but it feels really weird! Hope he moves for you!

  • I had the craziest hot flash yesterday... I got home from work and just started sweating! I couldn't stop!  I completely soaked my shirt and even some of my hair was damp.  Plus, I was all shaky and jittery...finally had to just sit in front of a fan while I drank some juice.  I'm thinking my blood sugar was low?  Took about 20 minutes, but finally cooled off and felt normal.  I've had some hot flashes before, but this one took the prize.  I literally felt like I was melting from inside out!

@sportiegrl1213 - I missed bumping yesterday so I just got caught up. But, I wanted to say stomach ache-like cramps (I called them poo cramps) without needing/anything actually coming out ended up being contractions for me. So just be aware/keep an eye on them. Mine stopped when I literally increased my water intake to like 150oz/day.

@krzyriver - I've been having really watery discharge too. Some I'm sure is pee even though I don't feel like I pee myself. The nurse in L&D said to take your temperature every 6 hours if you think you're leaking, because if you are, it'll start to go up. Also, amniotic fluid has a water-like consistency, so I will rub/dip my finger in the fluid/discharge on my underwear and see if it's tacky at all - if it is, it's watery discharge. Not a 100% solution, but one my OB recommended and has managed to keep me somewhat sane when it comes to freaking about leaking.

My symptom...I've been noticing baby's movements aren't as strong. Has this happened to anyone else? My OB said she cares more about the number of movements vs. strength. She had a good checkup yesterday but I'm starting to get some real anxiety that something will go wrong and I hate "crying wolf" so I'll wait too long to say something. She's still moving, I felt her throughout the day yesterday, but got freaked out because once again she seems to have changed her patterns. She didn't get busy after dinner or before going to be last night. I kept waking up during the night to wait to feel her move and after a few rolls/light movements I was able to sleep. ETA: I'm 34 weeks today.

Another one, anyone else have to poop middle of the night? WTF...the past two nights around my 3am pee I end up going #2 which is super weird for me. And requires that I turn on the light, which I hate.

  • @morganL925 they say baby's movements become less the closer to your due date because there is less room to move. But don't hesitate to call your OB if you feel like baby isn't moving enough- that's what they are there for and it's an easy thing for them to monitor.

  • I am on my laptop trying to do a little work from home and bump and I cannot get comfortable- this bump really puts a cramp on working from the couch!
  • @MorganL925 I'm 35 weeks now but at 34 weeks I noticed my baby's movements changed for a few days, they weren't as strong like you said and the pattern changed. I was a bit worried even though my doctor didn't seem concerned as long as she still was moving, luckily after 3-4 days her movements went back to usual.
  • @LMNOBaby I had a hot flash like that the other night. I ended up putting an ice pack on the back of my neck and sitting under the fan. Once I felt a little more normal I got a drink with some sugar. After a couple of minutes I felt fine but it was not fun!!

  • @MorganL925 Ya I noticed his movements aren't as strong.  I feel him more rolling now than kicking and once in a blue moon will he really strong and active but it's more slow rolls.  I think it's cause they start running out of room.

  • @MorganL925 I read somewhere that movements are less strong when they drop and as they run out of room. I feel more wiggles than thumps these days.

  • Thanks, all. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I like my OB, but sometimes I have to question her. When I mentioned the difference in movement yesterday and asked if perhaps it's because there's less room and was just questioning if it was normal I got a "hmm..no, not really...I care more about counts, so just do those". Back when I had a secondary ultrasound (MFM) tech tell me I had an anterior placenta around 24 weeks I finally felt so much better knowing I wasn't feeling many movements for a reason. I mentioned it to my doctor and she was like "oh, well some people do think if muffles movements..." Umm...no, it's pretty conclusive that anterior placentas muffle movement and you should have mentioned it to me when I was in here last week worried because I couldn't feel her moving.

  • @MorganL925 when I was at my growth US last week, the tech said he was kicking my back and I had absolutely no clue, couldn't feel it at all!

  • @uponastar16 I am actually going for a cortisone shot this Friday, my OB approved it. My right hand is pretty much swollen, numb, and in pain all day. In the mornings I cant make a fist with either hand.
I am seriously considering this.  :(  @SoInLoveCJ2011 please let us know how it worked out for you!
  • Ok I never over share too much on here but I just went to the bathroom and I happened to look in the toilet as I was about to flush, and I noticed a good size of discharge and I almost had a freaking heart attack that it was my mucus plug. There was no bleeding. I literally googled images... Now that I can't unsee those photos, at least I think it was nothing serious but holy shit, I got scared for a minute. I'm only just hitting 34 weeks... hes not ready yet!!  :o

  • @sportiegrl1213 The twisted side of me is so tempted to google mucus plug now. Lol

Im having the most excruciating pelvic pain right now. At first I assumed it was pressure from baby now that he's dropped.... but now I'm wondering if I'm just sore from that pelvic exam yesterday? It was NOT comfortable. I've barely been able to walk all day and now I cry out every time I move. Took me 5 minutes to get up the stairs. This better go away tomorrow because I've still got four days left of work and giving pedis will not be fun like this.

FWIW, you could completely lose your mucus plug now and still go overdue. They are constantly rebuilding. I lost some of mine at 24 weeks, it Grew back, and I've been losing pieces everyday for the last week. It's constantly rebuilding itself. If no blood, no worries.
This! I lost my mucus plus early with DS1 and didn't go into actual labor until weeks later. Just another sign your body is progressing to get baby out but really doesnt mean anything at the end of the day!
  • Also I am constantly looking for blood. Since I've been home from the hospital I keep thinking I am bleeding again and it's just discharge. Not even brown discharge (old blood) so that's all really great!

but I feel like I am going to give myself a UTI because I feel like I keep wiping the wrong way after I pee because I am so eager to see if I am bleeding. Last Saturday I had bleeding when I peed, so it was just on the toilet paper and it was like okay I'm gonna sit here for 15 minutes because all my other bleeds poured out of me. Luckily that one didn't!
  • I thought I was going into labor last night. I had period like cramps, contractions, back and leg pain. I was able to fall asleep and when I woke up I was fine.
  • I woke up this morning with awful cramps, they haven't went away. I usually am only like this before bed after a long day. I am hoping it's nothing cause I don't have anyone in town right now that can watch my girls if I have to go to the hospital and I'm not quite 35 weeks, so it's a tad early.
