When is your due date? December 21st. My family is super excited about this as its my cousin's birthday. He really wants L to share his birthday with him, and I think that's so sweet for a 27 year old guy to want.
What part of the world are you from (be as vague/specific as you want)? Northern California.
What number baby/pregnancy is this for you? Pregnancy number 2, but baby number 1. We had an early loss last November.
What is your occupation or dream occupation? What I'm doing now. I'm a high school science teacher. I love it.
Does your/will your nursery have a theme or color combination? It's a combination of sky and navy blues and sort of a War Birds WWII plane theme.
Have you bought anything for baby yet? We have, some furniture and art for his room. I've bought a PnP second hand and a MamaRoo at a consignment sale that's brand new.
If you have bought things, what is your favorite thing that you have gotten so far? I'd have to say I have two. I love the dresser we bought and I refinished, it's absolutely perfect and for $75 and some paint I couldn't be happier. My other favorite is the large black and white print of the front of a Corsair. It's Dh's favorite plane and I think it's just such a cool photo.
What is your favorite part of pregnancy so far? I love watching my body change. And finally feeling L move has been the best thing ever.
Do you have a favorite maternity/baby brand? I love the things I've bought from Motherhood.
One thing you will splurge on this pregnancy? The art for his room. I knew what I wanted and since we aren't doing a typical nursery theme I figured a splurge was okay since his room will grow with him.
What are your top pregnancy related priorities? Not stress. I'm a worry wort so Dh and I have been really trying to make sure I don't panic about anything.
What is your favorite book? So many. The first ones that come to mind are The Daughter of the Tsar and The Winter Garden.
What is your favorite tv show? Probably Gilmore Girls.
What is your favorite movie? Dirty Dancing.
What is your favorite band/singer? I don't really have one.
Anything else you would like us to know? I'm really grateful for all of you. It's nice to have such a supportive place to come talk about our pregnancies in.
Gilmore Girls is one of my favs too! Are you totally excited for the revival in November? I can't wait! I read all the news about it I can and get into intense discussions with my sister about who Rory should end up with
I love your nursery theme! As this is our only boy, and last child, DH has insisted on getting things in his football team's colors. I'm ok with it, but was hoping for more cool/creative.
Nice to meet you!
I'd also like to thank you for your choice to be a teacher and what that means for our future youth. After a brief couple of years teaching at a vocational school my eyes were opened to the immense responsibility and challenges teachers face in today's education system. Thank you for all that you do!
Also, I LOVE the vintage plane theme!
Nice to "meet" you!
