  • I'm sitting at my desk, stuffing my face because it's Friday and I give zero F's about work today. I'm just hungry and exhausted.

  • @yogadevil Mandatory "fun" days, in my experience, have never actually been fun. I usually sent DH with the kids and I would stay at home by myself. Garage sales sounds way better!

  • I was volun-told to be on the United Way team at work. Today we have a big rally with all the other nearby companies to kickoff the start of campaign season and we are all told to wear our shirts from last year. Last year I was given an XL shirt (I'm a XS-S normally) so I sewed it up and made it fit perfectly. It still "fits" in the sense that I could get it on however I'm spending the day worrying that it's going to burst around my bust and it is definitely showing off my baby bump. I've told everyone at work but usually don't wear skin tight clothes to work so this is the first time I've felt a little self conscious at work.

  • @MrsP052909 Oh I'm with you! A close friend of ours is transferring to a different unit so I at least want to make an appearance for a nice send off. That and they're revealing info on the upcoming deployment (grumble grumble) Then I'll don my fanny pack and get in the garage sale state of mind, soundtrack pending
  • @yogadevil Let us know what kind of goodies you find! I love garage sales, Wyoming's "season" is already over though.

  • @peachesnbean @BumpasaurusRex DD (4.5), DS (3) and my brother (31) exchange poop pictures via my cell phone.  It's not with every poop, only the really good ones.  DD and DS have had meltdowns because I flushed their "good" poop without sending a picture first.  One night my phone was dead and DS wanted to save his poop until morning so that my battery charged back up.  I about died laughing when he said that and I quickly convinced him that we needed to flush.

  • @Spicyweiner - I am with you. Dogs are yuck in a bed. I have a thing about bed sheets. When I SAH I used to change them daily, DH would be so annoyed  because I was being wasteful. Now I only do it 1-2x a week and it makes me cringe. No way would I let my dog in there. Well, exception: a couple mos ago DH worked night shift and I was scared to sleep by myself (different house). THEN I changed the sheets daily.

  • @silvercamaro77 LMFAO!! I hope you don't mind but I shared that story with DH and he said "See? This is why you have kids!!"
  • If we don't put our Chihuahua in his crate when we're sleeping (either at night or when H is day sleeping for work) he WILL be in bed with you. He may start out in his bed on the floor, but that usually doesn't last long. And if we're awake and kick him out of the bed, he just waits til we're asleep and jumps back in.

  • LOL @Spicyweiner I can't be offended by wanting to keep animals off the bed-- but Hubs and I sleep separately during the week due to opposite schedules and I like the dog with me-- it does get pretty crowded though :-)
  • On the topic of poop, I am really really tempted to buy a squatty potty
  • I'm having a garage sale tomorrow and I'm kinda worried no one will show up. I'm terrible at the advertisement part of it.
  • My dog sleeps in our room with us, but in his bed on the floor.
My mom cuddles with her dog, and it's weird AF because we weren't even allowed in her bed as kids!

Haha this is funny to me, because I will be the exact same way. I'm totally fine with the dogs in our bed. But DH and I have both agreed that the kids are not allowed. My mom was the same way, her dogs slept with them, but if we wanted to crawl in bed with them for some reason, our only option was to make a bed on the floor.

  • and he stopped me mid sentence and was like "What the hell is wrong with you?! I'm eating!"

This happens every day in our house! My husband is a doctor & starts to tell me about his work day when we sit down to eat dinner & i have a very weak stomach & have to stop him all the time! Whereas nothing grosses him out!
  • Both of our dogs sleep in our bed (luckily we have a california king). BUT, with the baby coming, we have kicked them out. We bought them dog beds for our room and are trying to keep them down there. Just because we didn't want them to associate the kick-out with the baby. But it doesn't bother me as long as they are on top of the comforter, and we will probably allow it again once the baby is out of our room. So, not for about a year haha.

  • I'm currently eating eggs and hash browns while reading all this poop talk. I'm the weirdo that can't even discuss pooping or passing gas to my SO even though I ask patients about their habits daily.

My confession: I hate when people start talking on their cell phones at strange times at the gym. Example: Yesterday I was in spinning class and in the middle this woman is suddenly having a full on conversation on her phone. In spin class! Another example, a man was furiously crunching away on one of those ab machines and on the phone talking! C'mon people!

I want one too!! I'm sold, just need to make the jump.
  • @lfrank12 BUY THE SQUATTY POTTY!!! I promise you won't regret it! The first week or two there is an adjustment period to pooping with your legs up like that, but after you're nicely acclimated, you will find yourself intentionally waiting until you can poop in your bathroom with your squatty because you know it will be so worth it!

  • Gah! We're going to the shore this weekend. Yesterday I was informed that another couple is the group. Totally fine, they were on the maybe list and now they are coming, there is space. BUT I just found out they are bringing their kid!! Their kid who screams bloody murder at the sight of dogs! And our dog is supposed to be coming with us AND there is a dog at the house we're staying at (the owners are our friends/hosts and our dogs are buddies.)  This is not a spacious house...not sure WTF anyone is thinking.
  • Also team no dogs on bed. Dog breath and hair in the morning is a no go for me. But I do allow dog on our couch.
